64, Seattle, WAI was raised by two philosophers. My mom's favorite saying was "no need." Generous and grateful, she appreciated all that she had. Dad would say, "no worry." Whenever I hear the song, "Don't worry, be happy," I think of him. I believe that we have a treasured gift called life and that we get to say how it goes. We can either live as someone who warms people's hearts, or someone who makes people's blood boil. I am looking for someone who has a big heart, easy smile and is fun to be with. I will be your trusted friend and together we can set out on a magical journey of playfulness, discovery and celebration :)
62, Olympia, WAI am dependable, grounded, and dedicated to those I love. My honor and my faith are important to me. Old fashioned in many ways, I am chivalrous, romantic, and believe in equality in a relationship. I acknowledge that I find traditional gender roles appealing, but am flexible and not patronizing. I enjoy cooking and believe in sharing the workload. I'm divorced & annulled, I'm looking for a lasting relationship, a lifelong friend, companion, and confidante who wants the same. I have a good sense of humor, a caring heart and am devoted to family- aging parents (married 60 years) I love dearly, & my own three adult children. I am a family man- my years as a young father were the happiest and most rewarding of my life, and my kids are without question my life's greatest accomplishment. I'm good with modern technology and appreciate the logic of it. I have diverse other interests, too, better learned over conversation. I practice good hygiene and have impeccable manners- Mom taught me well. There's no denying that mutual attraction and chemistry are important. Thank you for reviewing my profile.
60, Tacoma, WAJust getting started in the dating world again. I'm very interested in meeting people who have a grounded sense of self, have a strong commitment to the teachings of the church and try to maintain those beliefs. I am able to talk about most any topic as both an interested and compassionate listener. I am always most interested in hearing about peoples life experiences and that the journey never stops. No matter what life throws at you, run with it because you never know where that journey might take you.
73, Belfair, WAI know it's kind of late in life to be looking for a companion, but sometimes, good things happen to one who is older. I was just busy with my career and family for lots of years. But, now I do wish for someone to share evenings with and perhaps travel. I've been single for about 20 years or more. My hobbies are birding, watercolor painting, gardening, sewing, baking, and walking in the park with the dog. I also play the piano and enjoy music. I like to go to Seattle for the symphony, the opera, the art museum, and lectures. I read a great deal. Just now, mostly religious or spiritual reading, but several biographies of Pope Francis and his writings. I am passionate about many things: that children should have a good education, that the country should take care of their poor and their sick, that we need gun control, and that we need to protect our environment. I am a caring person, and family is a priority.
60, Bonney Lake, WAI am a single male who enjoys most outdoor activities, hiking, camping, beach combing, etc.I would enjoy meeting a lady who enjoys those activities, and I love to cook. I attend Mass weekly and was a former Religious Ed instructor for 2nd graders, 5th graders , and junior high students.
68, Medina, WAI am a caring, compassionate, fun loving, optimist who enjoys travel, music, experiencing life with positive people willing to explore new ideas and make new friends as well as treasuring long term friends. I have diversified interests, and have the freedom to pursue new interests, volunteer activities and travel. A good natured, affectionate man with a sense of humor and love of God would be most fulfilling.
64, Issaquah, WAMy faith, family and friends are the most important parts of my life. I love to travel and split my time between the Pacific Northwest and Arizona. I love to take drives to explore new places and spending a few days at the beach at least once a year is a must. I've seen a few of the painted churches in Texas and want to see them all. I'd also like to visit more presidential libraries and Civil War battlefields. My late husband and I traveled all over the US, first by motorcycle then by motor home but I still have a surprisingly large bucket list. I do lots of reading and enjoy gardening, digital scrapbooking, taking walks, exploring museums, galleries, and old cemeteries, finding new restaurants, wine tasting, going to Starbucks and learning more about my family through genealogy and history. I seem to be the keeper and organizer of pictures for my extended family. I am grateful to God for all the things in my life - good and bad - that have helped to make me the loving, empathetic person I am today and each day gives me new opportunities to live out the great joy I feel in life. I find myself smiling and humming or singing most of the time. My conversion to Catholicism is one of the most important and well thought out and researched decisions I've made in my life. Love of God and the Church is paramount to me and Catholicism has brought a new level of love and joy to my life that I didn't even know was missing. I spend time researching and learning more about Church teachings continuously. During my career, I enjoyed the research and technical writing more than I did the management parts of my jobs so researching Catholicism comes naturally. A vice? I love Lindt 90% Chocolate as well as a good cup of dark roast Starbucks coffee!
65, Mount Vernon, WAI love living near the sea. I was born and raised near the Atlantic Ocean. I studied to be a teacher and homeschooled our children. I do some substitute teaching, volunteer with Pregnancy Choices, Friendship House and Family Promise, play ukulele with a group, take short hikes, do some gardening, cooking and yoga classes. I find exchanging ideas exciting and am passionate about the Gospel. I would like to meet someone to make pleasant memories with me and share my family and friends.
71, University Place, WAMost Passionate About/Look Forward to the Most: I am most passionate about my family and my faith and enjoy time spent with each. As a resent Protestant convert I thank our Lord for leading me to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Tacoma and continue to be amazed at the ever increasing blessings that I have experienced there. This has been especially powerful and comforting following the death of my husband last year. Also important to me are dear friends, staying physically active and being of service to others whenever possible. Influential People and Experiences: Throughout my life I have been fortunate to have many mentors who have encouraged and guided me. In turn, I have served as a mentor to children and families through my work in schools. The pattern of my life has been woven with many precious threads. A formative experience happened at age 9 when I fell off a dock and hit my head on a concrete block. I was unable to swim and drifted under the dock. Miraculously, when help arrived, my unconscious body was on the dock and I was revived. I have always believed that God saved me that day. My heart has held this as the first miracle in my life and a clear message that my Heavenly Father is with me and has a plan for my life. My life has had clear chapters varying remarkably from one another. Each has presented its own dock and subsequent miracles. Each has brought me closer to touching the hand of Christ. The most significant was 22 years with my late husband and the blended family we created. We celebrated our unique qualities as truly best friends. I love sharing life and believe that it is possible once again. I enjoy step aerobics, TRX and walking at Chambers Bay or along the Pt. Defiance sea wall. Also, live performances, time with friends, eating out, reading, Bible study, Orcas Island and playing games with grandchildren. For many years, boating was the most important leisure time/vacation activity. There is nothing better than a beautiful day on the hook, a good book in hand, and bombardment of the senses with the beauty of Gods natural world. So many options in this area; all better shared with someone special. In retirement and a new chapter in my life, I am looking forward to taking both piano and dancing lessons. Perhaps you are the man to help me dust off my dancing shoes.
