I am most passionate about my faith and how I live that out in day to day life. Jesus says, "you will know they are my disciples by by their love" and this is central to my faith. In my leisure time, when I have it, I almost always pick up my guitar and sing praise and worship songs. If not this than I will go visit family or visit the mountains for a hiking adventure.

Back in my college days, I had a theology professor who defined YAHWEH as "I bring into being, what I bring into being" or "I cause to be what I cause to be". My journey into Catholic faith, grew out of my desire to be in relationship with this God of creativity who brings into being what he brings into being. A few years ago, I discovered a paraphrased quote of Therese de Avila that has become my mission statement: Who will teach us to give birth to our souls? To be life-giving, creative centers of energy rather than death dealing centers of inertia?-- I am passionate about being a life-giving creative center of energy, and committed to the process of transformation that is part of that. So glad that our participation in the dying and rising of Christ in our celebration of the mass gives us a vehicle to participate in that transformation on a daily basis. I am passionate about embodiment. That our soul is expressed in breath, myofascia, motion--that our bodies are the dwelling and expression of God's love in this earth. I love fragrant gardens, and mine is full of fragrance just now. I love all kinds of music, and sing and perform in choirs and with my family. I love good food, and vegetables grown in healthy soil, bred for flavor not shelf-life. I am not afraid of the suffering that opens the soul to grace and brings love and wholeness into being. I love to travel. I have family in Norway, Switzerland, and Ecuador. I so enjoyed visiting South Africa and the wine estates, especially learning to drive on the Left Side of the Road traveling with my daughter who was studying there. I love fitness, especially Functional Fascial Fitness.

Hello, I'm a native Seattleite, widowed in 2012 after 34 years with a career DOD civilian employee, we saw Europe together. Right now I'm living a low-budget life off of her retirement, as a surviving spouse. Kind of like the civilian male equivalent of an Army widow. I was raised agnostic in a non-churchgoing home, my dad a Mason and my mom a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. As my older sister approached marriageable age my mom saw to it that I got just enough Sunday schooling at a local Episcopal church to be credible as ring bearer (at age 10) during my sister's wedding. Later I fell in with a spiritualist channeler "church," and attended there off and on sporadically until about 2004, but don't go there anymore. Lately I've been persuaded by the Dimond brothers' website to start believing in traditional (but not modern) Catholicism. I believe we live in time of the Great Apostasy as foretold by Saint John. On the question "Do you accept Church teaching on Premarital Sex?" I answered no. In my case no is closer to the truth than not when you look at the actual history of my life & present circumstances. My late wife and I lived without benefit of ceremony, but monogamously, "married in the eyes of God and each other," for the first 10 of our 34 years together. Then her employer, the Army, transferred her overseas. So we had to get married to stay together. We were married by a city magistrate in Arlington, Virginia in 1988. Nowadays I have a financial problem with remarrying: $750 of my monthly income is a surviving-spouse pension benefit. That goes away if I remarry. So if we are to marry before sex, either you'll have to be rich and the pre-nup will have to be written strongly in my favor, or else I will have to get rich first. I never had any children. My late wife had already had 4 and a hysterectomy by the time I met her. About the only TV I watch is Seahawks games and the local news, especially weather reports. I dream of moving to one of the traditionally Catholic countries of South America (Argentina or Uruguay), or maybe the old Portuguese colonies in Africa (Angola or Mozambique). I am on several other dating sites which are free. But I am a very, very careful wisher as to what I get!

I have followed my Faith, waiting until I was free to date. I believe that Faith will lead me along the path that is best for me. I know that all my experiences have led me to find and embrace the gifts I have been given. I love to share those gifts. I don't need someone. I would like someone. I want to find someone with whom I can share the good, the bad, the funny, the ugly, the embarrassing. Someone I can cook with, laugh with, talk with, Believe with. The person I am with must treasure honesty, integrity, family, and communication. I'm not perfect. I own my faults, and always try to make amends for my errors. I am very honest. I am a giving person. I love family, and believe that you don't have to be blood related to be family. My children are of utmost importance to me. I take my my job as a role model seriously. I'm ready to share myself with the right person. If you are in tune with yourself and ready to share who you are, drop me a line.

I recently went back to online college for a degree in human resources management. I currently work for boise cascade and love it! I am also a Navy reservist which is very rewarding. I love anything that has to do with the outdoors and sports! I am looking for a woman that I can share a faith with, that has a similar set of values as I do, and is fun, of course! :)
