  • Patty, 59 from Huntington, WV
    59, Huntington, WV
Hi! My name is Patty, and I am in love with my Catholic faith. I was married for 32 years, and my ex-husband made several bad choices 4 years ago. I never expected to be divorced but here I am trying to figure out the next phase of my life. I applied for an annulment in October 2015 and am very hopeful about the outcome. This tragic event in my life has caused me to be even stronger in my faith. I have been blessed with an extraordinary son, Dennis, who is doing his first-year residency at Marshall University and plans to go to UVA in Charlottesville, Virginia to complete his program in neurology. I have 3 awesome siblings who all live here in Huntington, and I am the baby. I am Italian Catholic, and I have 80 first cousins. (Can anyone match that?[?] [?] ) I have been a catholic school educator for 36 years, and I am still in love with the work that I know God has called me to do! My middle schoolers are the best! For the last 2 years, I have also been an assistant principal as well as a full time middle school math teacher. That has been very interesting and rewarding as well. I have been involved in a bible study for about 15 years with an incredible group of Catholic women. We have completed programs authored by intelligent amazing men such as Jeff Cavins, Scott Hahn, Brant Pitre, and Matthew Kelly. We have also traveled to many places in Ohio to see these men speak. I have also gone to some awesome conferences at The University of Steubenville. I love EWTN and The Journey Home with Marcus Grodi. I would truly love to find a good Catholic, moral gentleman who I can serve the Lord with, travel, love, and enrich one another's lives. I had a friend who once said that he believed the purpose of marriage is for a man and a woman to help each other reach heaven. I truly believe that, and I am willing to go the extra mile to find that special man. I am in the position in life to relocate, and would actually welcome that opportunity. I feel certain that my annulment will be approved. I pray for that everyday. I would never have chosen to be divorced. That was forced upon me. I am very loyal, fun loving, outgoing, and enjoy experiencing new things. May God bless you on your life's journey!
  • Jan, 67 from Morgantown, WV
    67, Morgantown, WV
I am a thoughtful, caring person and a good friend to the people in my life that matter most to me. Trust and honesty are very important to me in any relationship I have with people. I am a little reserved and shy until you get to know me but open up to the people who I trust. I am very family oriented. I like to read and enjoy watching college football and basketball and am a big Steelers fan. Traits that are important to me are someone who is honest, trustworthy, and has a good personality and sense of humor. I would like someone with similar interests to mine and who can make me smile when things go wrong. Having your significant other as your best friend would be a plus in any relationship. I am involved in local government and am active in my church. I would like to travel more and it would be nice to find someone to share the trip!
  • Danielle, 32 from Spencer, WV
    32, Spencer, WV
I love spending time with my family, cooking, and helping with church activities. I enjoy reading a good book or taking in a good movie. I am a music lover.....will listen to almost anything (kind of draw the line at country). Fun facts.....I have been on MTV before (when they actually played music videos). I love to sing but still get nervous every time I sing in church. Going to the beach during the summer is my favorite way to relax. I have 8 siblings, I am number 4 of 9. I like to think that I am a gift giving master....finding said gift on sale is usually part of the equation. If you want to chat or just say hello feel free to send me a message.

  • Aaron, 32 from Wheeling, WV
    32, Wheeling, WV
*Update: Met a wonderful young woman on here who I am happily dating exclusively. Thanks for stopping by.* Hey there. Thanks for stopping by. I'm Aaron. The terms "dork" and "nerd" get thrown my way on a regular basis and I wear them as a badge of honor. I have deliberately tried to not take life too seriously while also attempting to be mildly responsible. It's working fairly well. I've never been good at describing myself, but in a nutshell, I'm a laid back, funny'ish guy who is close with his family, does his best to enjoy the little/simple things in life, and spends both too much and too little time with his dog, Weezer. I could eat sushi every day, occasionally get a real hankering for chocolate milk, and have a modest collection of owl memorabilia (most of which has been given to me, entirely unsolicited). I love being outdoors and would gladly be a professional hiker if such a thing was reasonable.
  • Paul, 30 from Ranson, WV
    30, Ranson, WV
I have always been steeped in the Catholic faith. Sometimes my relationship with God is as much wrestling with him as anything else. And He wrestles right back! The faith has always been the center of my life and God willing always will be. I enjoy literature and philosophy and politics. (Perhaps "enjoy" is a bit much for today's politics ...) I love music. (Sorry, Lady Gaga ain't music; more like a disgrace to music. My musical opinions are pretty mild, as you can see. At least we've gotten that out of the way, right?) I'm a choir nerd. For me it's mostly Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, and Brahms on Saturday and Eastern Chant or Renaissance polyphony on Sunday. Bluegrass, folk, and some country/Beatles/Billy Joel around the campfire is pretty great. I love being outside. Hiking, biking, canoeing, walking, running (sometimes), camping. Mountains, lakes, trees, sunshine and water. I think Chesterton/Lewis/Tolkien (the guiding lights of my life, along with the Fathers and Doctors and saints of more ecclesial canonicity) had it right. There is more magic in the emergence of a single green leaf from a tree than in all of Harry Potter combined. There is worlds' more truth in a fairy tale than in a soporific or "realistic" portrayal of the humdrum, bug-a-lug, gray life. Life is about people. Especially friends. To pursue the good together, to have frank conversations about the real struggles we all face as human beings, whatever our story, is where life happens. Meeting new people where they're at isn't my primary strength, but it's the only way to really encounter another person, so I appreciate being challenged by others and especially learning from friends. A life shared is a good life. I'm looking to share the pilgrimage of life with someone who wants to raise a family to the praise of the Master of the Universe and Lover of our souls--who wants to fill that proverbial glass to overflowing.
