65, Charleston, WVI am a conservative Catholic, republican, pro-life, native West Virginian. I attend the tridentine Latin Mass but also go to the new Mass if it is in a conservative parish. A Catholic by birth, I was educated in local public schools and I have a bachelor's degree in political science and geology from James Madison University. I have received an A. A. degree in paralegal studies and have completed some graduate studies. Currently, I am seeking a masters degree in legal studies. My father, now deceased, was Methodist and my mother was a life-long Catholic. I have one sister, age 57, who is also Catholic and two nieces, one of whom is married. For the past 22 years, I have operated and worked in various capacities at, a pool equipment and design company. Hobbies include maps, reading, bowling, basketball, watching college sports, tennis, ping-pong, hiking, travel (anywhere), geology, Civil War history, and old movies of many kinds. My religion means a lot to me and I devote a lot of time to it and to learning more about it. One of these days I hope to embark on a great adventure or two but would like to have someone to share it with. Would like to someday start a family (with a wife, of course).
48, Huntington, WVI'm a recent convert (Easter 2002) from the Southern Baptists. I was influenced to join the Church from many sources, including friends and my readings of the Church Fathers and St. Thomas Aquinas. I fully accept the authority of the Pope and the teachings of the Magisterium, Sacred Tradition, and Scripture. I am an avid reader, especially of history, science, theology, and humor; G.K. Chesterton is a favorite of mine. I like museums of science and history, but I'm not not so much into visual arts. I love classical and Russian Orthodox music; Dvorak's "Stabat Mater" and Rachmaninov's "Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom" are probably my two favorite pieces of music. I prefer Hank Williams Sr. to Hank Williams Jr., and the Sons of the Pioneers to anything coming out of Nashville right now. I enjoy canoing and nature trails, and I find caves fascinating, although I would never be willing to crawl into a place I wasn't sure I could get out of (or where I might be trapped by rising water if it rained). Socially and politically, I'm a conservative, old-fashioned, you might say.

41, Elizabeth, WVI am a single dog Mom to one very spoiled and hyper mixed breed pup, working as an adjunct professor at two different colleges and filling in the blanks with some freelance writing. I am also a deeply involved member of our local Catholic parish and am active in the choir and as a lector there, as well as helping out with the food pantry for Catholic Charities here in our county and being part of our local knitting group and Women's Club. I'm also going to be starting a running program soon, which is quite exciting. When I'm home, there is often knitting or crochet in my hands and the TV on- mostly for the background noise. I definitely tend to be quiet at first, but don't let that fool you- I love to chat and hang out with people I know and I have a pretty good sense of humor, though I tend to have very British taste in comedy. I particularly enjoy a good movie (typically a drama and ideally a classic one), hiking now and again, and spending a nice quiet evening on the deck with a glass of vino and some good company. I am... to put it mildly... a bit of a mish-mash of tastes when it comes to TV. I tend to fall hard for "cult favorite" shows- I love new Dr. Who, Moonlight, Firefly and the like- and am a die hard Walking Dead fan at the moment. My favorite band is The Eagles, with Bob Seager a close second, and I like many of the modern country bands as well. I also am a committed homemaker and a serious country girl- currently I'm learning how to garden, can what I've grown, make my own bread and butter, spin yarn, and I would love to learn to make cheese eventually. If you are a man looking for a gal who will make you hand made socks or a homemade meal and will be happy to sip a sweet tea with you as we catch up at the end of the day... I might be your gal!
