I'm a divorced father of six and grandfather of five. I've been married twice and have been on my own for quite a few years. I was a Roman Catholic seminarian in my high school years and have always treasured the staunch Jesuit education I received. Now, at 64 (soon), i find myself back in the seminary (Holy Apostles in CT) pursing another (my 4th) Masters in Theology. I teach Basic and Intermediate Greek at Holy Apostles and tutor several high school students in various subjects. My full time position with the VA ended with my stroke. Prior to that I spent 2 years at Johns Hopkins developing a Health Info Curriculum for national dissemination. I believe in lifelong learning and have spent much of my life doing just that. I need to be very honest here- and I'm VERY sorry if I scare you off...I suffered a major stroke 13 years ago and a stroke and heart attack four years ago, and have little feeling on my left. I walk well with a cane. I sound like I'm describing a pet here - don't I? Well I do play well with others and am reasonably well behaved. Oh - and I'm up-to-date with my shots! Seriously, I'm forever on the mend and hoping to find a woman who can forsake dancing (at least with me) and extreme sports. I'm more in the way of gentle walking and gardening. By the way, I love gardening - had (20+ raised beds and a small greenhouse till the styroke), baking bread, canning, and sharing life and love with you... My dog (and best friend) Rasheed died of cancer on June 15 7 years ago, leaving a real void in my life. I rented a cottage on 1 1/2 acres in Middletown, MD. and now live in a beautiful apartment in Wheeling WV near my daughters., As I said, I'm an avid gardener, a voracious reader, and a faithful partner for an intelligent, loving, and faithful woman. Despite my health issues - like the Energizer bunny, just keep on going...I am committed to truth, sincerity, and personal authenticity and am seeking a friend and, hopefully, life mate who feels the same. I would love to have a friend to talk to and share life with...

What's there to say? I'm uniquely morally conservative for a male, but in other issues I'm moderate and slightly liberal, favoring gender , racial, religious (I still value someone as a person even if we disagree), equality. Due to the moral conservatism, some would say none like me still exist. So much that I strongly identify with the life experiences of those women (often never married) and much younger than I. Bullying limited my confidence, though, as a crusading journalist you'd likely not realize this. Still, I have blended Catholic/Protestant beliefs, including influences from a Jesuit and an Presbyterian. I'm upbeat and generally confident - I have a moderate outlook on life and love to seize the day and see what it brings. friends would probably tell you that I'm a seeker, constantly curious, always open to new experiences. I like to be inspired. romance is all about sharing those amazing moments together, where it feels like the world's stopped turning. I I can be a bit shy sometimes (but you would not think so if you saw whom I'm interviewing ) so I'd probably like to meet up for a quiet chat over coffee rather than a really full-on pull-all-the-stops-out date.If you can come up with a one liner to make James Bond blush, you could be just about perfect. If love was a place it would be the buzz of the big city, a place to be independent but never alone.I want someone (without children) who will surprise and inspire me and make me laugh so much that my tummy hurts. Other plus points? I guess I'm really good at listening. I think it's really important to be there for people. I always take the time out to listen to my friends' problems. I hope it makes them feel a bit better anyway!I'm definitely a city guy at heart. My perfect life would definitely be living in the middle of a really buzzing metropolis. I have a real soft spot for animals - both pets and in the wild. Going for a long walk with the dog is my idea of a perfect afternoon. You are definitely my type if you insist on joining me wearing a pair of comfortable heels... and you don't take them off or complain the entire time, in fact, you want to go further. Other things I love doing whenever I get the opportunity include going to the theater and getting caught up in an amazing show. From gritty dramas to lavish musical productions, I'll try pretty much anything.I really enjoy going to the movies too! Nothing quite like chilling out in front of the big screen for an hour or two.

I am a special education teacher. I belong to St. James Parish in Charles Town WV. I have been widowed for 9 years. My 2 kids are grown, but live at home. One is in college, one a special needs adult. I've lived in Jefferson County for 7 years now, but haven't met anyone. ...I guess I should update this, as I dashed it off rather quickly. I am much more interesting in person, but I will try to write a better narrative. Many things have kept me busy during the past few years-- raising two teens alone, working full-time while attending grad school part-time, caring for my parents close by. The kids are now grown up. I recently completed my Masters degree. My mother passed away last month. Many challenges and changes. These things have kept me busy. I am firmly committed to living a good Catholic life. I talk the talk and walk the walk. I belong to a Catholic family and we have all remained true to Our Lord and His Holy Church. I have many interests. I was a music major in college and have kept that as a strong avocation. I enjoy cooking, cleaning, gardening and organizing... but I'd much rather be out of the house, visiting parks and museums and exploring new places. I like daytrips, especially in Virginia, Maryland and DC. Although I live in West Va now, I have lived most of my life in Virginia and Vermont. I read a lot, especially about history (I try not to be an egg head!). I am a good conversationalist. What else??? I don't really like writing "I" stories about myself, so I guess you would have to find out for yourself. I'm not planning to take a "temperament test" or "scrapbook" because my friends have to get to know me.

O Raphael, lead us towards those we are waiting for, those who are waiting for us! Raphael, Angel of Happy Meetings, lead us by the hand towards those we are looking for! May all our movements, all their movements, be guided by your Light and transfigured by your Joy. Angel Guide of Tobias, lay the request we now address to you at the feet of Him on whose unveiled Face you are privileged to gaze. Lonely and tired, crushed by the separations and sorrows of earth, we feel the need of calling to you and of pleading for the protection of your wings, so that we may not be as strangers in the Province of Joy, all ignorant of the concerns of our country. Remember the weak, you who are strong - you whose home lies beyond the region of thunder, in a land that is always peaceful, always serene, and bright with the resplendent glory of God. Amen.

Hi! My name is Patty, and I am in love with my Catholic faith. I was married for 32 years, and my ex-husband made several bad choices 4 years ago. I never expected to be divorced but here I am trying to figure out the next phase of my life. I applied for an annulment last October and am very hopeful about the outcome. This tragic event in my life has caused me to be even stronger in my faith. I have been blessed with an extraordinary son, Dennis, who is doing his first-year residency at Marshall University and plans to go to UVA in Charlottesville, Virginia to complete his program in neurology. I have 3 awesome siblings who all live here in Huntington, and I am the baby. I am Italian Catholic, and I have 80 first cousins. (Can anyone match that?[?] [?] ) I have been a catholic school educator for 36 years, and I am still in love with the work that I know God has called me to do! My middle schoolers are the best! For the last 2 years, I have also been an assistant principal as well as a full time middle school math teacher. That has been very interesting and rewarding as well. I have been involved in a bible study for about 15 years with an incredible group of Catholic women. We have completed programs authored by intelligent amazing men such as Jeff Cavins, Scott Hahn, Brant Pitre, and Matthew Kelly. We have also traveled to many places in Ohio to see these men speak. I have also gone to some awesome conferences at The University of Steubenville. I love EWTN and The Journey Home with Marcus Grodi. I would truly love to find a good Catholic, moral gentleman who I can serve the Lord with, travel, love, and enrich one another's lives. I had a friend who once said that he believed the purpose of marriage is for a man and a woman to help each other reach heaven. I truly believe that, and I am willing to go the extra mile to find that special man. I am in the position in life to relocate, and would actually welcome that opportunity. I feel certain that my annulment will be approved. I pray for that everyday. I would never have chosen to be divorced. That was forced upon me. I am very loyal, fun loving, outgoing, and enjoy experiencing new things. May God bless you on your life's journey!

I am a rather quiet, purpose-driven individual. I'm usually not one for small talk, tending to prefer deeper conversations. That being said, I'm on here to get to know people, so if you want to chat, feel free to message me. For five years I discerned and pursued a religious vocation, joining one community as a postulant and later visiting several others. I now know that is not my vocation, and I am looking forward to being married and having kids.

With my leisure time I enjoy practicing my prayer life as a third order Carmelite and studying St Theresa's books for upcoming classes. I also enjoy reading books on St. John of the cross and other Carmelite saints. I enjoy catching up on some of my other retired friends lives by having lunch with them. I see my physicians on an as needed basis and belong to the Metro Maryland Ostomy Association as an ostomate myself.

Hello, I love to enjoy day trips in the middle of the week along with spending time with good friends. Traveling to New England area. The fresh air and seeing the beauty of God's gift of nature. Nothing like a smile coming over your face from just seeing the view. Prayer and gratitude is important. Matter of fact my little prayer area was messed with when someone stole my statue of Mary and an angel. Sadness came over. God always listens.
