46, Morgantown, WVLet's start with the obvious .... as you can see from my photos, I use a wheelchair.....but when you meet me, you'll see that it doesn't slow me down one bit. In fact I'm known in the CM forums as "Zoom" because of how fast I can move. I've been Catholic all my life, and I serve my parish as a lector and a member of the choir. I've been doing square and contra dancing with a local group here in Morgantown since 2006, and in 2014 I took up swing dancing. I also am a big sports fan, especially of baseball and hockey, and a movie buff. I also have traveled independently all over the country and even into Canada and Mexico. Like I said....I have challenges, but by the grace of God I have overcome them, and hope to continue overcoming them.
38, Charles Town, WVI am a friendly, honest and caring person, who is always there when I'm needed. I have two Bachelors of Arts in Marketing and Management. Career wise I never settle for less, I'm always looking for ways to move up the ladder . I enjoy to travel to various parts of the world. Other things I enjoy to do are outdoor activities, sports, go to the movies, candlelight dinners, walk on the beach, going to the gym, ice skating and staying at home watching any sitcom. Religion, family and friends are really important to me. I go to mass every Sunday and on Wenesday's I attend Liturgy. I have discoved that religion is not only one hour on Sunday mornings but its every minute of my life.
28, Philippi, WVI am a rather quiet, purpose-driven individual. I'm usually not one for small talk, tending to prefer deeper conversations. That being said, I'm on here to get to know people, so if you want to chat, feel free to message me. For five years I discerned and pursued a religious vocation, joining one community as a postulant and later visiting several others. I now know that is not my vocation, and I am looking forward to being married and having kids.
23, Martinsburg, WVConvert since 2013. I'm a violinist and am about to go back to school for my master's degree in performance at Montclair State University John J. Cali School of Music. Lover of the Tridentine Mass.
34, Martinsburg, WVHi to all that are viewing my profile!!! My name is AJ and I'm gonna try to illuminate you to the kind of person I am! If there's one word that characterizes me, it's that I'm very passionate. I'm passionate in everything that I do. Nothing is done half-hazard and I give everything I have into what I'm doing. I love my faith! It has always been a influential part of my life and it will always continue to be! I love my family! I try to make as much time for them as I can, since I have just relocated 2hrs away for my job. I love all my friends! It's not hard for me to make new ones, but I value everyone's opinions and respect them even more for them! And lastly I love sports! Sports has taught me a lot about life with the struggles and successes. It has also taught me how to deal with them in the correct manner. I've played so many different sports that I truly enjoy them all, but I'm an avid golfer and love watching football! Over the past 2yrs, I have lost over 90 pounds and I'm still working on it! I have learned a lot about myself on making sacrifices and being open to change. Sometimes that can be good for you!
29, Morgantown, WVI've grown much deeper in my Catholic faith over the past year, and I look for opportunities to strengthen my relationship with Jesus on a daily basis. I am a sinner first and foremost, and I thank God for his mercy and his grace that's allowed me to come this far on my spiritual journey. My family has had the greatest influence on my life, and I would not be who I am today without the love, guidance, and support that my parents and two sisters have provided me through the years. I am passionate about learning (learning anything really - although I am a math/science geek at my core), serving others (especially through the student organizations I am involved with), and trying new beers (if I had the time, money, and resources to visit every microbrewery in America...I would seriously attempt it). I signed up for CatholicMatch because it looked like a neat way to meet new people who share our awesome Catholic faith. Also, I'm a WVU student so I have to throw a LET'S GO MOUNTAINEERS into this little blurb!!
49, Fairmont, WVHow real, how truly present God is in the smallest details of my daily experience inspires me.... My passion is more a privilege - to be allowed to join with clients in their hurt places - to connect with them in the sacred ground of their (I believe) soul - and with the grace of God walk through healing, true conversion. Towering trees, rustling wind, dappled sunlight, swirling leaves, the smell of rain, the hush of new-fallen snow, the night sky littered with stars... I remain in awe of the majesty of creation. I most enjoy being stimulated - to feel more alive physically, sensorily, emotionally, spiritually. Often this includes connecting with others in a very real, genuine, and meaningful way. So excited, intrigued by the mystery of God's plan unfolding for me...how He is leading me to love, serve anew, and be loved.... TAKE. II: To be honest, I "enlisted" in this service in a late- night fog, in a frustrated reaction to my "Nona" telling me I can't buy my dream "farm" and build a house w/o a man..... Truth is, it's time for change. Realized from reading your profiles, I haven't done a very good job creating a "snapshot" of who I am, "where" I am, and why I'm really "here...." Thank you, fellas for being such good teachers. Who? Nurturer - as clinical social worker pour out love on clients, friends, neighbors, strangers.... Love children, considered foster parenting and adoption - kinda' like the idea of meeting a man w/kids. Enjoys? Though opportunity has been limited, whitewater rafting and ballet are two of my favorite things to do. Love and appreciate interior design, architecture art, music (all genres, but - sorry- country), and theater. Get a thrill from a chainsaw splitting wood and driving fast or preparing an elegant dinner for family and friends. Content watching a movie, football, or rolling clouds.... Prayer, exercise, nutrition, spending time outdoors daily are essentials for me. "Where?" Emerging from my time "in the desert" following the loss of my husband. Selling our home, searching for my dream property, seeking new career challenges, and feeling God is calling me to serve in a somehow different way - all sharpen my awareness of the need for change, challenges to fuel continued growth. And, truly, I am free to go anywhere God leads me.
32, Spencer, WVI love spending time with my family, cooking, and helping with church activities. I have 4 nephews and 2 nieces....spending time with them brings so much joy to my heart. I am a sucker for those kids and I am pretty sure the oldest ones know it! ;) Hearing any of them say "hey Aunt Elle" is the best thing ever. I enjoy reading a good book or taking in a good movie. I am a music lover.....will listen to almost anything (kind of draw the line at country). Fun facts.....I have been on MTV before (when they actually played music videos). I love to sing but still get nervous every time I sing in church. Going to the beach during the summer is my favorite way to relax. I have 8 siblings, I am number 4 of 9. I like to think that I am a gift giving master....finding said gift on sale is usually part of the equation. If you want to chat or just say hello feel free to send me a message.
27, Elkins, WVI'm most passionate about teaching, writing, and singing and look forward most to sharing my passions with another. My family has greatly influenced my life and I am looking for someone who is also family-centered. In my free time I live to read, travel, and explore new places.
48, Parkersburg, WVHello and thanks for checking out my profile. I am fun and energetic guy. Wanting to find a long term relationship but slowly build from a solid friendship. I like to stay active with running and exercising on a regular basis and I would like to find someone who enjoys the same. I am very close with my family and have three lovely children ages 26 (son), 22 and 19 (daughters). I really miss having someone to spend time with and share going to Sunday mass. I am a big sports fan and I help coach basketball at the local Catholic high school. I would also enjoy having someone to snuggle under a blanket and watch a good movie as well. I would like to travel more over the next several years. Hope to hear from you.
31, Ranson, WVI have always been steeped in the Catholic faith. Sometimes my relationship with God is as much wrestling with him as anything else. And He wrestles right back! The faith has always been the center of my life and God willing always will be. I enjoy literature and philosophy and politics. (Perhaps "enjoy" is a bit much for today's politics ...) I love music. (Sorry, Lady Gaga ain't music; more like a disgrace to music. My musical opinions are pretty mild, as you can see. At least we've gotten that out of the way, right?) I'm a choir nerd. For me it's mostly Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, and Brahms on Saturday and Eastern Chant or Renaissance polyphony on Sunday. Bluegrass, folk, and some country/Beatles/Billy Joel around the campfire is pretty great. I love being outside. Hiking, biking, canoeing, walking, running (sometimes), camping. Mountains, lakes, trees, sunshine and water. I think Chesterton/Lewis/Tolkien (the guiding lights of my life, along with the Fathers and Doctors and saints of more ecclesial canonicity) had it right. There is more magic in the emergence of a single green leaf from a tree than in all of Harry Potter combined. There is worlds' more truth in a fairy tale than in a soporific or "realistic" portrayal of the humdrum, bug-a-lug, gray life. Life is about people. Especially friends. To pursue the good together, to have frank conversations about the real struggles we all face as human beings, whatever our story, is where life happens. Meeting new people where they're at isn't my primary strength, but it's the only way to really encounter another person, so I appreciate being challenged by others and especially learning from friends. A life shared is a good life. I'm looking to share the pilgrimage of life with someone who wants to raise a family to the praise of the Master of the Universe and Lover of our souls--who wants to fill that proverbial glass to overflowing.
46, Falling Waters, WVHi! I am a 46 year old single man with a good sense of humor and often intelligent (have my moments). I have a crazy work schedule but it leaves me with a good amount of time off. During my down days, I live a pretty ordinary life but would like to explore more and create lasting memories. Looking to meet someone to share these memories with.
