I'm a very caring and compassionate person. My faith plays an important part in my life. I enjoy reading on a daily basis. I listen to 50's-60's music and also enjoy country. I try to live a healthy lifestyle. In the summer I like going to festivals and listening to the music and dancing. I enjoy rummage sales and flea markets. I enjoy going out and having fun but also enjoy being home watching a movie in front of a fire. I lost my husband to cancer 6 years ago after a 41 year marriage. If as you read this and you find that you are getting interested, keep reading, we may some common likes and dislikes and maybe we should discover more about each other. If you dont keep on reading, I wont be upset with you. Its not like I will ever know anyway. A few things about myself. Some of the things that I enjoy doing, (but not necessarily alone) is going to plays, lot of good community theater out there or just going for walks accompanied by some witty, intelligent conversation. I enjoy county fairs and festivals (Especially the State Fair} I occasionally play golf (Not real good). Do some hiking, and thinking about buying a bike. I usually try to get to the health club 2-3 times a week (Try is the key word there). Im usually in the middle of a good book. Dancing? (See golf).

I basically created a profile to see if it would garner any interest. I'm not necessarily looking for a serious relationship, but searching for a gentleman who I can be friends with and be a loyal companion. My parents have been married for 64 years and I do respect their loving relationship and the fact they gave me a good learning foundation. I would say they have been the most influential in my life. I am passionate about life and everything life has to offer. I love children (I have 2 adult sons). I love nature and animals.

Since retiring in 2014, after working and living mostly in Asia for the previous 20 years, I have been establishing myself in my new community, spending time with my family, and working at feeling purposeful. The first two things were easy...the third is more challenging. I am so blessed to have my two daughters and three grandchildren close-by in Michigan. Wish they were much closer but fortunately, I like to drive. My siblings and extended family do keep me involved but I feel that I am now in a place where I'd like to share life with a close companion. My spare time is spent bicycle riding, taking long walks, and exploring Wisconsin. I volunteer teaching Sunday school classes, reading to school-aged children at my churches school, and being a nanny. For the past two winters, I returned to Hong Kong for 3 months as a full-time volunteer at an orphanage. I've been fortunate to travel around the world and have had experiences I never imagined were possible. I've always been a "stop and smell the roses" kind of gal and hope to continue traveling in the United States and meeting new people.
