40, Bend, ORDo you love adventure? Well, I moved to Central Oregon 7 years ago from Central Wisconsin. Traveling is a passion of mine and moving 2100 miles has definately been an adventure. There are so many places to explore that I have never experienced before. I have a degree in Management-Entrepreneurship and received my MBA with honors. To finish my elective credits, I spent 17 days in China working on a consulting project. I have a long term goal of starting my own business and one day would also like to own a Catholic store (but probably not handle day to day store hours). I truly enjoy my Catholic faith and love to help others discover the beauty of the Church. Being a member of the RCIA team has helped me to do that. I want to have a family that is centered on God and that follows the teachings of the church. I truly love life! There are so many things that I would like to do or try; I imagine I could easily use 2 lifetimes to accomplish them! (What are you doing with yours?) ;) Since moving to Oregon, I've started running 1/2 marathons and have tried my hand at downhill skiing and paddle boarding (I enjoyed it but haven't pursued recently). I am passionate about life and my beliefs. The adage, "You have to stand for something or you'll fall for anything" is very telling for me. It is important that the person I am with has his own opinion, even if that opinion is simply the opposite of whatever I think-just be sure you can back that up! :) I love to laugh and am (almost) always smiling.
55, Portland, ORI'm an Army brat that comes from a family of native Oregonians. They're all Italians, Oregon ones at that. Portland not New Jersey, yeah that's kind of weird. I'm what used to be called a 'cradle Catholic'. Born and raised in the church from baptism to confirmation. OK, I'm not all that great at attending mass but I could never identify as anything but Catholic. I'm semi-retired from federal and military service. It's very nice. I'm in the midst of planning what I want to do when I grow up. So far a lot of backpacking, reading, writing & hanging with my grandson. I have a law degree but I don't practice. This doesn't stop people from asking me questions about every legal matter. For fun I throw out a really bad answer: "You know there are people doing 20 years in the federal penitentiary for ripping those mattress tags off". While in the army I deployed to Desert Storm and Iraq. It really was some of the best and worst times of my life. Now I'm an avid reader who's biggest concern is a paper cut. My interest extends to classic literature, history & comic books with my grandson. I do book clubs, practice my Russian & Italian by going to Meet-Ups and spend far more time at Powell's, Pok-Pok, Blue Star & Salt-&-Straw than is really healthy.
41, Portland, ORI'm fun, educated and focused. I'm thankful for the freedom that blesses me everyday and am on this site because I'm devoutly Catholic. Games, sports, travel, family, prayer, cooking and real estate fill my days. I enjoy sharing my faith and continually am in search of God and changing the world for the better. I'm always up for meaningful conversation, but realize meeting early helps to give a real bond. I'd like to think I'm a listening ear.
51, Salem, ORHello World! I am thankful to God for everything that I have. I am passionate of life itself and would like to find someone special that can begin as friendship to share my faith and have fun in life. I've never used a site to try and find someone special. So, this is very different for me. Since I chose to try this, I had to make sure that my Catholic faith is a MUST! I am really just under 5'5". I'm open to new things, but I enjoy the outdoors the most. I love to go camping, the coast is my favorite, and also do some exploring in my 4x4. I also like going to the coast to simply sit on the beach and enjoy the scenery and the breaking of the waves. Just sitting on the beach clears my mind by just enjoying some of God's beauty! I have a good sense of humor and like to kid around sometimes. I LOVE dogs. I don't currently own one, since I lost my Rottie 3 years ago. I also enjoyed the times that I spent with my daughter and watched her grow up in front of my eyes. I love my kids very much! My son and daughter are both now on their own. BTW, I love the movie "The Little Mermaid". Don't judge. HAHA! I watched it enough times while my kids were little and it stuck since then. I love and am very proud of my mom and all she has endured. She has taught me a lot of things in life, even when I may not always listen.
66, Lake Oswego, ORStill enjoying working, although taking more time off to travel, spend time with the grandkids and make new friends. I am a military widow and very active with military organizations, my church, my family and friends. Have recently downsized to a condo, and although I miss the gardening, it is wonderful to be free to travel. I was widowed quite young with five very young rambunctious children, which I raised by myself and we were very active in our Catholic schools. My youngest son owns a CrossFit gym and I very much enjoy working out with all the young people that can run and lift circles around me. Blessings to you all.
43, Portland, ORI love to think and feel deeply. I am a natural Meyers-Briggs INFP personality type... a very Intuitive, iNtroverted, Feeling, Perceiving individual. I have volunteered nearly 600 hours over the course of 3 years on a suicide hotline, and worked at a drug and alcohol treatment facility, in the hope of making a difference in the lives of others. I dream of becoming a counselor someday (among other ideas), and I deeply love classical music... opera, symphonies, and things of great beauty and expression of the human spirit.
34, Portland, ORI am passionate about travel and about stories, both fictional and true. I lived for a year in England and I have visited Paris, Rome, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Belgium, Germany, Mexico and Canada. I have a bachelor's in Sociology and a master's in Crisis and Disaster Management. I'm currently trying to learn Spanish and French, though I've got little better than a tourist's understanding of Spanish and I've only just begun French. I'm looking for someone who is willing to go adventuring to new parts of the world and who has overlapping interests. I believe that a person can be known not only by the company they keep, but also by the stories that they find meaningful. I love stories that describe other cultures and ways of living, whether real or (science-)fictional. I've thoroughly enjoyed Stargate SG-1 (but really, really not the spin-offs), Doctor Who, Once Upon A Time, Big Bang Theory, Star Trek, Castle, and Firefly, among others. Oh, and I talk a lot. I love a good, comfortable silence and I can read quietly for days at a stretch, but I rarely have trouble breaking an awkward quiet that needs to end.
49, Beaverton, ORHello to that special one hiding out there, I'm long divorced, with joint custody of my two "almost" perfect kids, a girl 12 and Son 10. As any parent would expect they keep me running the whole weekend when they're with me. Typically biking, swimming, maybe some tennis, but we're all much better at ping pong :-) On the weekends that their with their Mother, I usually enjoy doing some home improvements, or yard landscaping when weather permits, which hasn't been very often yet this soggy year.
28, Portland, ORWell, here we go. I am a full time student who is graduating this year. Despite this great responsibility I always find time to pray and attend mass and remember those that have helped me to get where I am today. In my free time I workout at the gym and go for runs. Over the past summer I ran my first a half marathon (13.3 miles)! Family and friends are very important to me. They are the closest thing to me besides God. I enjoy playing and practicing golf, as well as basketball. I also enjoy mountain biking, and spending time outdoors. I am really good at planning outdoor adventures including hiking, camping, fishing, etc. I would describe myself as curious, passionate about life, thoughtful, and a true friend.
43, Portland, ORI aI am passionate about the art of loving when I am reciprocal, I like to share different activities as a couple.m passionate about art, music, dancing, activities outside the home.............
24, Grants Pass, ORMy name is Amber, I'm pretty introverted, but I open up one on one. I love the traditional Latin Mass. I'd like to think I have a sense of humor, but mostly I'm the only one laughing at my jokes, so the odds aren't really in my favor. I do enjoy a good laugh though. In my free time I enjoy traveling, reading, biking, watching plays, sewing and crafting. I'm always up for trying new things. I'm not looking for anything too serious, just maybe making some friends then seeing where it goes from there. If you want to know more, feel free to ask. I'm still pretty new to this and it feels a little odd trying to describe who I am in a bio.
48, Tualatin, ORI'm simple, caring, loyal and I love to cook. I've been divorced for almost 2 years now after 25 years of marriage. Life offers lots of challenges to make us stronger and a better person...thanks to a strong foundation of faith, teachings and beliefs...
