64, Birmingham, ALI'm a jersey girl who has been in Alabama for the last 33 years. I'm a teacher and I like my job. I like to go out to eat...I love movies...I also love Seinfelt and Larry David. I like the beach in the summer and love musicals. I love a good conversation and love to discuss anything. I have 3 grown children and none live at home. I have a basset hound who is great except for the occasional barking...lol...I hope you like what you have read and to hear from you soon.
52, Madison, ALI am a cradle Catholic raised in small town/rural Alabama where Catholics are rare. I have always practiced my faith. I lost my engineer husband of 21 years to cancer in 2010. I have lived throughout the southeastern U.S. including Houston, Baton Rouge, Nashville and Birmingham. I traveled extensively in my 20's and 30's for pleasure and work (I was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines) and loved it. I have been home now for fourteen years raising and homeschooling my kids. Because of infertility, my children were all adopted (domestically as babies). They are now 18, 14, and 9. In 2013 I brought a Chinese orphan girl (now 17) over on a student visa. It has been an amazing experience. Life is never dull! I cherish my faith, my family (I am from a large one) and good friendships. I seek God's Will in my life and pray daily for His guidance. I am happy, friendly and outgoing. I forgive easily. I try to live a healthy lifestyle. The pictures on here of me are from 2011 and 2012. Please mentally add some wrinkles. Haha! God Bless and thanks for reading.
67, Anniston, ALI became Catholic 25 years ago and have never regretted my decision. I enjoy watching football, reading, being with friends, discussing things with intelligent people, traveling. I especially enjoy getting together with friends for watching football and playing games. One thing I love doing is going to thrift stores to see if I can find any bargain treasures. Recently I found a piece of Murano glass for $1.99 at Goodwill! I also like browsing antique stores looking for the perfect gift for someone. I don't spend a lot of money but I look for something that evokes a memory. I moved back to my hometown recently after over 40 years away. My longest place of residence was Nashville, Tennessee. I love being back physically with my family and old friends. I had a good marriage to an intelligent man so I miss the closeness and the interaction of being with someone. Don't read that as I am looking for another husband but rather a friend and then see what develops. My idea of the perfect retirement is summers in Maine and winters in Florida. If you are interested, send me a note and we'll start a conversation!
56, Birmingham, ALI am passionate about the Catholic Church. My best friend calls me JoJo, short for Joan of Arc. I earned certification in catechetics from Aquinas College and in my spare time street-evangelize with an international organization. It never ceases to amaze me how spiritually hungry people are, and how willing they are to Iisten, and to be listened to. I organize Catholic community events like faith-based film screenings, and teach Adult Formation classes on the Rosary, Catholic prophecy, miracles, etc. I also helped form a local chapter of Fraternus, an apostolate that helps mentor young boys into virtuous Catholic men. I have lived in Birmingham for nearly 6 years and I love it, especially being so close to EWTN and the beach! I have a Masters in Education and am a teacher by profession and nature. I love writing and was recently published in the largest women's magazine in the country. I prefer reading non-fiction, mostly Catholic related, but also enjoy writers like Bill Bryson and Ann Patchett. My favorite blog is OnePeterFive. I enjoy hiking, chocolate, puppies and good conversation. I am one of 7 children. My parents were married for 60 years. I believe, as St. Augustine said, that the most perfect and harmonious communion is between those who find their joy in God, and in one another in God. YOU are a devout Catholic, with a warm smile; intelligent, who knows his way around Home Depot ( I am hopeless!) Beyond that, I think the Scout Law covers the rest: trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient (to God), cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent! : )

Enjoy new and old favorite restaurants...love to travel near or far...love all kinds of music from Zeppelin to Classical. Love to sing with my choir, Gloria Dei performing for local charities. Enjoy movies and love to read in my leisure time. These are all fun things to do but not things I have to do all the time to be happy. I would be just as happy at home with the one I love...to me, this is ideal...choices in life with my loved one! Believe it or not I am passionate about my job, my coworkers and what we do every day as a team to help keep people safe. All depts work as one to make it happen. My little Italian Mama was and still is my mentor, my spiritual advisor, my idol, the example I live by...she loved good Italian food, had a huge love for life, her fellowman but most of all, her sweet Jesus...her best friend til the end of her life on this earth. Now, she has the ultimate up close and personal relationship with her Jesus. Her and my favorite bible phrase..."This is the day the Lord hath made let us rejoice and be glad!" I strive to be grateful every day!
