29, Anchorage, AKI'm a practical gal with a very solid sense of adventure. Obviously from photos I love being outside. I'm a conservative Catholic and have a large family that I love dearly. I work hard and I play hard and I love being around positive people with lots of enthusiasm. I tend to choose an activity or life decision and just throw myself completely into it. I'm careful with my money, and very clean and organized. If you're solidly founded in faith and disciplined with all the practical aspects of your life, you can really enjoy the things you're passionate about. If you fail, have a beer, try again tomorrow! I'm a nurse living currently in Anchorage and possibly would like to have kids in Alaska someday but who knows what the future holds!
72, Anchorage, AKI am a Native New Yorker now living in Alaska (since 1974) and loving it. Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Philippines 1965-67). Have been around the world, once. College Graduate. Attended Catholic schools through high school, taught by Amityville Dominicans. I think I have a good sense of humor, and would value the same in a match. Married once, late in life, and recently widowed. I am independent, love the outdoors--e.g., camping, fishing, rv-ing. I also love animals, and at the present time have a calico cat. Now all I need is a gingham dog. I like to garden, both vegetables and flowers. Music and books are passions of mine. I like to cook, and I do enjoy a mixed drink or wine on occasion. I am frugal but not cheap. I am more a "Mary" than a "Martha". I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. Family and close friends are very important to me. I am in relatively good health and try to live a healthy lifestyle. I am hoping to find a companion to celebrate our golden years together, but am not in a hurry to jump into a relationship.
26, Kaktovik, AKI'm a preschool teacher on a small island in northern Alaska. Due to my location I am a long distance Catholic, the nearest church is more than 100 miles away! I try to maintain a strong faith knowing that someday I'll be able to resume regular Masses, until then I try to view it as chance to grow in my personal faith much as the religious hermits of old... I really enjoy writing and painting but also love the amazing outdoors! I tend to lean towards more disorganized but have been paring down on the amount of 'stuff' that I own. I am a cat person but have had pet dogs as well. My favorite author is C.S. Lewis. I prefer family films to most other movies but will go for the occasional action/ adventure film. Background: When I first started college I was going for a degree in theology. That period of my life was my darkest spiritually speaking. All of a sudden faith wasn't in my heart, it was in my head. I even stopped attending Sunday mass. After changing majors I worried about what I had done until a FOCUS conference where my heart was touched in a very profound and painful manner during Adoration. After Confession I felt a lightness I had not had since childhood. I am a more soft-spoken individual at first, but once I know someone I'll open up, I feel that listening is one of my strong suits. I love traveling, I've done long road trips since childhood and think nothing of an eight hour car trip! There is so much of the world to see and so many wonderful peoples and cultures to meet that I can never stay put for long! This past summer I spent seven weeks in Europe going from Portugal to Poland in order to attend World Youth Day. I travelled solo for the first five weeks and had an absolutely amazing time visiting Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Vatican City, Austria, Slovakia, and Poland. I had a rough idea of places to see but also made up a lot of it as I went. There were misadventures to be sure - but now I miss the spontaneity of never being exactly sure what was going to happen next.
33, Anchorage, AKLet me be frank. I'm a pretty kick ___ girl. I'm no bible thumper and I unfortunately don't even go to mass regularly- something I hope to improve on. I'm firm in my faith-was in the church choir, taught catechism for years-but it's hard to find a Catholic guy, even if you do spend all of your time at church, who still likes to go out and have loads of fun! I'm from the midwest but living in Alaska. I love live music, wine/good beer, and traveling. I exercise four times a week which leaves little time for fun during the week outside of work and my dog.
47, Anchorage, AKI am passionate about my children. They are funny and loving and bring me a lot of joy. Since I am not native to Alaska, my community is my adopted family who takes care of me. I couldn't do it without them. I enjoy the outdoors, in camping, hiking, fishing, skiing, gardening and reading. I am a huge music fan , so there is usually music playing somewhere in my house/car/office.
25, Sitka, AKHeyyyy! My name is Caitlin. I'm a solid Ravenclaw, which probably tells you more than you want to know...Currently, I'm living the island life in Southeast Alaska, but was raised in the Bluegrass State. I'm a bibliophile and all-around nerd -- I didn't choose the nerd life, but I do enjoy discussing Doctor Who to anyone who will listen. I may (or may not) have a small Netflix addiction, but not to worry, I love the outdoors and hiking, which is good because I live in a rainforest. I enjoy the finer things in life like a well-aged bourbon, Latin, reading, and the smell of fresh cut grass. Humor is a huge part of life and love and I enjoy laughing and making others laugh :D I love to travel, because I am a cliche, but really travel has been an important part of my life and career. I'm shy but like meeting new people---so any questions just ask :)
49, Kenai, AKI love my faith, travel, entertaining, and family. Currently working in Alaska and enjoying the adventure and lifestyle. Enjoy reading the lives of the saints and discussing the beauty of the Catholic Faith.
37, Anchorage, AKI'm in my 30's and have been single for most of my adult life. I'm a homebody by nature, and I had a moment of clarity that I'd never meet new people if I didn't break out of my introverted shell. So, here I am. I'm the fiscal officer at the local university bookstore. I love my job, my coworkers, being around a university, and the ability to take classes. I'm an adult convert to the Faith, and am Byzantine by rite. I am currently making a Roman parish home for now, but my Faith is grounded in Eastern Catholicism. That said, I enjoy experiencing the vast breadth of the Catholic patrimony, from Eastern to the Ordinary Form, to the Latin Dominican Rite. It's all beautiful. My parents and older brother are local, and I see them fairly regularly. My extended family are on both coasts of the lower 48. My parents have been together for 42 years, and my prayer is to meet a man that I can build a marriage like that with, God willing. As I mentioned I'm somewhat of a homebody, so my hobbies are more of the indoor type... cooking, reading, cross stitch, action movies. That said, I'm breaking my shell, and exploring other interests.. performing arts, walking, gently getting back into shape. I like to travel, but also like to plan far in advance, so I don't do it often. I'm not big on camping/fishing/etc, more of a city girl by heart. I am focusing now on integrating my Faith into my everyday life. If my schedule permits, I will go to Mass/Divine Liturgy daily.
36, Anchorage, AKI am your average girl who is anything but average. Lush brown hair and eyes, quick warm smile, loyal, hard working, independent, fun spirit, adventurous, willing to try new things. loves good drinks, food and great company, open minded, accepting, and kind. I have lived a few different places and love to travel. Actively involved in youth ministry at my parish. My schedule can be crazy at times, which sometimes makes it hard to meet new people.
26, Kenai, AKI am 25 and looking for someone to have a friendship/relationship with. I am a little shy but once I get going I can talk your head off. I love reading, traveling and almost every kind of music. I have never been a rugged outdoors person but I do enjoy nature. My family has always been an important part of my life, and I hope the person I find has just as good of a relationship with their family. I have a strong love for my faith and I again hope to share that with someone. I work in the medical field, which means I can sometimes work long hours some days. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I play the violin, read and occasionally come up with some art project to complete. I have done some traveling abroad, which I absolutely loved. Although traveling out of the country is awesome, I also enjoy a road trip to the Homer beach just as well. Overall, I would describe myself as laid back and easy going. I have never been a huge partier but I enjoy an evening out now and again.
48, Anchorage, AKI love life and my family. I like to read, walk, movies, go out to dinner, or simply create a magnificent dinner at home. I like people to respect and treat others fairly and with dignity.
