27, Kaktovik, AKI'm a preschool teacher on a small island in northern Alaska. Due to my location I am a long distance Catholic, the nearest church is more than 100 miles away! I try to maintain a strong faith knowing that someday I'll be able to resume regular Masses, until then I try to view it as chance to grow in my personal faith much as the religious hermits of old... I really enjoy writing and painting but also love the amazing outdoors! I tend to lean towards more disorganized but have been paring down on the amount of 'stuff' that I own. I am a cat person but have had pet dogs as well. My favorite author is C.S. Lewis. I prefer family films to most other movies but will go for the occasional action/ adventure film. Background: When I first started college I was going for a degree in theology. That period of my life was my darkest spiritually speaking. All of a sudden faith wasn't in my heart, it was in my head. I even stopped attending Sunday mass. After changing majors I worried about what I had done until a FOCUS conference where my heart was touched in a very profound and painful manner during Adoration. After Confession I felt a lightness I had not had since childhood. I am a more soft-spoken individual at first, but once I know someone I'll open up, I feel that listening is one of my strong suits. I love traveling, I've done long road trips since childhood and think nothing of an eight hour car trip! There is so much of the world to see and so many wonderful peoples and cultures to meet that I can never stay put for long! This past summer I spent seven weeks in Europe going from Portugal to Poland in order to attend World Youth Day. I travelled solo for the first five weeks and had an absolutely amazing time visiting Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Vatican City, Austria, Slovakia, and Poland. I had a rough idea of places to see but also made up a lot of it as I went. There were misadventures to be sure - but now I miss the spontaneity of never being exactly sure what was going to happen next.
25, Sitka, AKHeyyyy! My name is Caitlin. Currently, I live in Alaska but hail from the Bluegrass state. I love a good Netflix binge but also enjoy hiking and camping. I'm nerdy, love a good meme and pun jokes are best jokes. Humor is a huge part of life and love and I enjoy laughing and making others laugh :D I love to travel, because I am a cliche, but really though travel has been an important part of my life and career. I'm shy but like meeting new people---so any questions just ask :)
20, Juneau, AKI am a young lady who loves God, and I find that I love to praise God through song; and Art, as well as through the conventional methods like prayer and mass. I'm a huge fan of musical theater and choral music, and I love DIY projects! You can usually catch me reading a book, drawing, or painting. I've been working as a choreographer for a community theater, but currently am working as a nanny, which is great because I love kids! My greatest wish in life is to be a loving wife and mother, and to have a large family, because as I said before, I love children very much! I know that I'm young, but I've always been told that I have an old soul. I live in a relatively small town, with a relatively small church community, so meeting new people and getting to talk about my faith isn't something that I get to do a lot, which may be one of the reasons I'm on this sight! if you want to talk, or ask any questions, feel free to send me a message!
32, Fairbanks, AKHello! Here's a bit about me. If you'd like to know more, or to tell me about yourself, please feel free to send a message. Men really need prayers nowadays, so you have mine!
19, Fairbanks, AKI am Fiona and I love Alaska. I paint on my free time and I've been cooking since I was 11. I will never move away from Alaska. I love my family and it is important that the man I choose gets along with them. I am an organized person and I love the outdoors. I go hunting with my brothers, Dad and some of my sisters alot. I love my faith.
31, Fairbanks, AKMy name is Claire, I'm originally from Michigan, but after a lot of travel and moving around, I decided to make my way up to Fairbanks, AK and get to know the North West United States a little bit more. I relocated here at the beginning of the Winter season and I'm looking forward to exploring the state a bit more in the next couple years. I make friends easily and try to live simply. I believe that God has me here to be a light and bring life to those around me. Although very Catholic, I appreciate ecumenism and getting to know people from other faith traditions. JPII writings are some of my favorites, but I'm trying to broaden my horizons. I want to have a partner who is open to connecting with people from many christian backgrounds, but who is fiercely in love with the Catholic church and its teachings. No one is perfect and I don't expect it, but I hope to be with someone who strives for holiness and wants to get to Heaven. I LOVE to travel by any mode of transportation: car, boat, bus, plane, cruise ship...all good in my book. In my free time, I sing, crossfit, kayak, play strategy board games, laugh, and have good conversations. I enjoy my work and love what I do. I look forward to meeting you or at least getting to know you. :)
23, Delta Junction, AKI am an English teacher determined to instill the love of reading within my pupils and I teach middle school, so doing that is not the easiest task, but I love it nonetheless. While I love reading, I also enjoy a good (or bad) movie quite often. I'm a sucker for those really bad SyFy movies, like Sharknado and Ghost Shark and Frankenfish (that's the one that my dad showed me, getting me hooked on the genre). My family is really important to me, even though I moved thousands of miles away from them. I'm extremely close to my immediate family and the extended family on my mom's side (there's only 5 of us grandchildren, and one is my brother). And as our pets have always been part of our families, I love animals of all kinds; this past July I adopted Tawny, an Akita mix, from my local shelter, and she is the BOMB dot COM! Really, I'm an eternal optimist (probably because I'm a Cleveland sports fan...) and I try to find the best in every situation, and the best in every person I meet.
22, Anchorage, AKHi! I'm a 20-something college student living in the Last Frontier. I tend to be a bit shy at first but I'm definitely not once you get to know me. I'm a writer, not a talker so I gather my thoughts better in written form (hence this super long bio). I have an odd/nerdy sense of humour; I also enjoy using semicolons and I'm a big fan of the Oxford comma. I'm currently working towards a Bachelors in English and Anthropology (I'm nearing the end of my senior year). I've applied to a few grad schools but I haven't really figured out what I want to do/what I'm called to do with my life yet. I love martial arts and I practice Tae Kwon Do. I try to go to class at least 2 times a week. I also dabble in playing the piano. I really like Star Wars (although I wasn't a very big fan of Episode 7), the Stargate series and Harry Potter. I'm also an avid reader (see English major) and I love distopian ficiton. I'm also passionate about living green, preserving the environment, and keeping trash out of landfills; as a side note, Alaska is not a great place for that! My family is very important to me and I enjoy spending time with them (I still live with my mom in an attempt to finish my Undergrad without any debt). I'm the oldest an I definitely have a bit (my siblings would say "a lot") of a Type A personality. I commercial fished for a few years and I LOVED it. My dream is to have a career where I can work a "real" job in the winter and fish a set-net site (probably in Bristol Bay, AK) in the summer.
22, Anchorage, AKHi, I'm Samantha! I'm an awful writer, I can't keep a straight face for very long, and I love campfires. I'm always ready to dance with someone. I love to go horseback riding. I like sailing/boating, fishing, most outside activities are fun to me. I'm a bit of a tom-boy like that. You can find me playing a musical instrument, or spending time with my friends and family at gatherings. I also love animals. And I am always up for a laugh! I am literally the worst writer, and I promise I'm really way cooler in person.
24, Anchorage, AKCardiac Nurse [?] have always had a love for health and medicine Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska with my many siblings Spend most of my leisure time on adventures with my little chihuahua
29, Skedsmokorset, NOI'm a family-oriented, jolly, respectful, dog-lover, girl. Appearance is not a factor for me but the inside traits. Because "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
34, Anchorage, AKI am part of Saint Andrews parish in Eagle River. I was born and raised Catholic but wasn't confirmed until 2014. When I'm not cooking professionally in Anchorage in the summer I try to do a different excursion every month and hike every peak I can. But sometimes I just sit because I'm tired :) And winter I spend a lot of time cross country skiing volunteering with horses and entertaining my animals. I travel for reasons of culture and architecture and of course food. I was born and raised in Southern California but have remained in Alaska for the last six years. I'm looking for a spouse not somebody just to date otherwise I wouldn't of joined something like this. Our community is really small. Thought it would be worth a shot.
