68, Medicine Hat, CAMy life is wonderful and full, but I would love to find a special person to share it with. I am now teaching adults part-time, after more than 20 years of teaching elementary students. I've lived in Manitoba, BC, Ontario and Oregon, but have called southern Alberta home for many years. In 1995 I converted to Catholicism after much thought and prayer; it felt like coming home. My faith is central to my life. I enjoy close friendships with a number of wonderful people. I am also close to my siblings and their children. We live some distance away from one another, but talk and get together as often as we can. In my free time, I enjoy attending plays/movies/live music events, writing, reading, photography, gardening, yoga and hiking. I like to stay active! I love to travel; Italy is a favorite destination, but I'm open to traveling just about anywhere. I love to experience different cultures.
62, Edmonton, CAGod has blessed my life in many ways and I am content. Yet, I can't help but think about sharing the next chapter with a partner. Yes, the career has been exciting so far and I'm not finished yet. There's still much to do. I also love--make that need--to work out most days a week by riding the bike, stretching and lifting weights, swimming is great, too, spa time is bliss time. It seems that sore hip needed more than stretching exercises every day. It needed replacement surgery in January 2012 which did not hold me up from the annual hiking trip to Canmore last July. Saturday at the Italian Centre is fun; reading is oxygen and I love a good movie; a great rocking concert and music soothes my soul; time with friends and family is something to cherish. Bring on a good poker game to tease my competitive spirit. I have also spent much time networking, attending civic events. That's been OK but a car holiday in the country brings inner peace--just like church, and I go every week; love singing along with the hymns pretending I can hold a tune. I also like domestic life, children (do not have any but I do love them). I have dated through online sites and other, yet, more and more, I want to meet a man with an active Catholic faith. And who shares a romantic chemistry with me. Hope I'm not being too optimistic at this age. Books at my bedside: Steve Job, The Alchemist. Tons of magazines.

69, Sherwood Park, CAI want to change the world but I am not God so it has not been very sucessful so far. I pray for peace and for a better world but that hasn't been too successful either. I think my phone service isn't getting through to heaven. I donate to Doctors Without Borders for they are changing the world with their courage and compassion. I just retired in June so I am hoping to find a way to make a difference in this world. I don't want to be busy doing worthless type activities. As I realize that my time on this earth is rapidly decreasing, I want to be involved in ways that truly make a difference. I have been involved in teaching math and science to adult students as well as advising, encouraging and supporting them in their academic endeavours for the last twenty years. I feel I made a difference to many of my students. I wish I could have helped more of them but unfortunately adult students often have complex lives that interfere with their success. Sometimes their lives are just so hard! I enjoy reading, gardening, music, and sketching.
61, Edmonton, CAI am passionate about enjoying retirement. I have raised three independent children who have wonderful families of their own. I am close to them and my seven grandchildren. I enjoy movies, theatre, dining out, travelling, watching tv. I've especially enjoyed the American presidential debates. I can hardly wait to see how that turns out and how it will affect our Canadian economy.
61, Calgary, CAI have been widowed for four years and am now ready to see if there is a like minded gentleman who would like to share my life. I am fit and active and enjoy a healthy social life. And I have had a rewarding and successful career. I'm very passionate about the issues of the day and love a lively discussion. My ideal partner would be a kind and caring gentleman who looks forward to living a full life and who loves dogs. The idea of meeting a new man is very unfamiliar territory for me ... I spent a wonderful 40 years with my late husband and I have to be honest when I say it's taken me some time to realize that I don't want to be alone. I have a great life, but as many of you will understand, it's a couples world out there. I want a relationship based on honesty and trust. I cannot abide dishonesty in any way. You would be my best friend and I would be yours.

63, Fort Saskatchewan, CAI am passionate about my family, enjoying the blessings I have been given. I look forward to waking up each new day to see what our Lord has given to me for the day, praying that I can accept whatever He challenges me with. People that have influenced my life include my parents, teachers, friends and my family. I am so thankful for all that they have given me, from values, to the ability to make me laugh. I very much appreciate my upbringing, being taught to be the person God has intended me to be, to be an example to everyone that God places in my journey. I really am thankful for being in the era of "old school ", and I have tried to raise my children with some of my values, by my example. In my leisure time I love to spend some time with my children, their spouses and my beautiful grandchildren. I also have a passion for reading, baking and sewing. I enjoy my new-found joy of scrapbooking. I also enjoy movies, in the comfort of my home, with popcorn. I have the gift of "gab" so love talking with people. People-watching is exciting to me. I love all of God's beauty.... His people, mountains, rainbows, butterflies, sunsets, streams and waterfalls; white, fluffy clouds in the sky, mothers with their new babies, wheat fields standing, and wheat fields lying in swaths.
