58, Chandler, AZI Love being from a BIG family! I'm outgoing, cheerful, fun-loving and enjoy meeting new people. I have many interests, including working out, reading, scrap booking, baking, wine tasting, golfing, bike riding, walking for health or pleasure and watching the AWESOME Arizona sunsets. I have a faithful relationship with Jesus Christ and enjoy bible study, prayer group & Cursillo activities. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends. 67, Chandler, AZOriginally from New York, I now live in Chandler AZ. I am a retired special educator, but I still substitute teach. My Catholic faith overshadows everything I do. I participate in church ministry and enjoy several diocesan ministries. I enjoy speaking and writing, as well as reading. I love the writings of Thomas Merton, Scott Hahn and St. Faustina. I enjoy Marian devotions. Reading all kinds of literature from young adult novels (Sharon Creech), the classics, as well as mysteries and various non-fiction. My favorite book is "The Ball and the Cross" by GK Chesterton with Abby Johnson's book "UnPlanned" running a close second. I like to read! I have a few favorite TV shows and movies, I am a real sobber so even a commercial can bring on the tears! Eating good food with good company ,along with reading great books, seeing His glory in natural landscapes, long chats over good coffee in quiet places, warm touches, hugs and hand holding.are some of my favorite things. I love to talk, but silence between two people who just want to be in each other's company....unbelievable! My favorite part of the day is sunrise or sunset.. I love the sound of water falling. I am in awe of His work everywhere I go and love staring at the beauty He has created. I llike photography. My children are very important to me and my relationship with them is part of who I am . My love of animals is one of the reasons St. Francis of Assissi is my favorite saint.Divine Mercy Chaplet is my favorite prayer as well as the Memorare. I love mass and communion as well as praise and worship events.
70, Mesa, AZHi! At the wedding feast at Cana, the wine ran out. Mary asked her Son to help out the wedding party. HE, of course, could only provide the best! I am praying that, despite being in my mid- 60s, there is someone out there for me. I am trusting HIM with this mission. I truly love our Lord and would hope to find someone who lives life with God as his guide. As to my interests I love the arts,.cooking, reading, gardening. I like to have fun, travel and see new and different things. The most influential book I have read recently is by Patricia Treece. It is called God Will Provide. In a compelling manner, she shares countless stories of well known saints who have counted on God's Providence when they have had great needs.
66, Scottsdale, AZAlthough I retired earlier this year, I still enjoy working in reservations and customer service for a large hotel organization. Having just recently moved to the Phoenix area from Denver, I am enjoying exploring my new home city! I love sports to watch and I walk 3 miles almost daily or swim and who doesn't love hanging out in a hot tub? I'm still looking for a home parish to land in. Until then I have attended mass at many of the Phoenix area churches. I would live outside if I could and the weather is one reason I moved to the desert. Family is important, but not overwhelming. My kids have grown up to be awesome, productive adults and I love to spend time with them and my very first grandchild! Service to others is a priority in my life and I am looking for that "encore" project. I am open to new ideas and love to dialogue about anything....including all the taboo subjects.....like religion, politics, comedy, drama, the state of life in general......talk to me and tell me about you!
54, Goodyear, AZI teach young students in a public school, so children's development is very important to me. I value the education I received from my teachers, so I hope I am paying it forward. We will need excellent teachers in the near future as many of us will be retiring (baby boomers)
54, Chandler, AZI am passionate about helping others through the ministry of intercessory prayer. I cherish time spent with family and good friends. I enjoy going out to dinner with family/friends, movies, dancing, live music (especially Christian music), theater, arts. I took the Temperament test a while back, but find the results to be somewhat inaccurate description of me.
30, Lake Havasu City, AZI'm passionate about sharing my faith with others. I'm a open and honest person and I like to speak my mind. I can come across honest but deep down I care for others and want to see them succeed. Without God I would be lost and all over the map. He keeps me steady and focused. Career wise you would have to get to know me to know what I'm passionate about when it comes to that. I look forward to getting married and having children but also would like to continue my career and business paths which are many. So raising a family would be ideal for me because being a wife and mother are the most precious things I want to be remembered for. I'm a spiritual person and reconize myself to be a charismatic catholic. My parents have been the most influential in my life. I love them very much and we are close. I like to watch movies and play with my dogs. As for the faith questions I believe strongly like the church that contraceptives are not good for women's health and beside I have seen way too many women who are miserable being on it. No thank you. However as far as condoms go and natural family planning I am all for this method so that's why I said no to this a answer. I don't believe the church should have any say how a couple conducts their martial life. I also wanted to be clear on the premarital sex thing and say that I believe in chastity before marriage. I think its harder said then done though and there is a lot of temptation. I think everyone should be wise especially in the partner they chose to be with. So I believe it's not something I can totally be concerte on but I do believe two people should be in a loving and commited relationship before they do anything physical. So I do not believe that children born out of wedlock are a abomination or that its wrong. For were we all not born with original sin? So that should irrelevant. Lastly we talk about my stance on holy orders. I believe women need to be able to participate in all forms of the church. They say women have many roles but women can't be priest, deacon's or the pope. I will never understand this, especially when Jesus was all about equality. I consider myself a independent catholic for this reason however I have no issues with attending the roman catholic church. I find we agree more then disagree so it should not matter.
36, Phoenix, AZI am passionate about music! I look forward to attending mass and getting together with my choir - that has saved my sanity after a devastating divorce process. I am looking forward to finally learning to play the guitar so that I can incorporate that in my choir practices. I have been divorced for almost 10 years now, and have been out of the dating scene for about 9 of them. I promised myself two things - never again believe in men, and especially think of re-marriage. Time heals, and even though I have slowly changed my views... I still struggle with the first one occasionally. It takes constant reminder to myself that life is a learning journey and that my mom is right - someone else, someday will be there for me again. The people that have been most influential in my life have most definitely been my parents - each in their own special way. My mothers' faith is something that amazes me each day, and my fathers' determination to provide for his family. What I enjoy doing most in my leisure time is helping others in need, and singing.
