Well hi! My name is Joan. Its a pleasure to meet you here. I guess this is where I start talking about myself. I consider myself to be kind, loving, compassionate, romantic, easy going, and adventurous.
My favorite time of year, is centered around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. I love being around family, entertaining, decorating, baking and cooking all that yummy food. Not much can beat it!
I love being around family and friends. I find the Christmas Mass to be a favorite of mine as well.
I am first a widow of a wonderful man who I was married to for 14 yrs. we had a very loving marriage. I remarried outside the church (so I should be able to marry again IN the church without difficulty), and we divorced after 11 years of struggling to make it work. Long story. Lesson learned.
I have always been an animal lover. I feel they are a true gift from God, given to us to provide us unconditional love and pure joy. My two pet peeves are people that abuse animals or children .
I enjoy going to flea markets and looking at old stuff. On any day I am not working, you might find me in my garage working on an old piece of furniture.
I have one amazing son, but no grandchildren yet. I am blessed to have both of my parents in my life. They are in their 80's and I love them both dearly. I look after them, so cannot relocate for now, but open to in the future.
I look forward to doing some traveling with my future sweetheart. There are some places on my bucket list that I would love to visit, but would enjoy it more holding hands with my special man.
I love going to the lakes, parks, mountains, and the beach. I enjoy gardening, BBQs and picnics. I enjoy sitting in porch swings and listening to the birds while sharing long talks about our dreams and the future. I like to relax and watch a movie; curl up in front of a fire; and sit outside at night and listen to the insects perform their symphony under the stars. I have a romantic heart, and believe in finding ways to share life with you. I believe a relationship should be 100% from each partner. I think it's wonderful to see a couple working together to build a life in faith and love. Marriage is what you put into it, and it can be a very beautiful thing. Something I wrote, has become my personal motto.."A tender touch leaves behind a fingerprint that will never fade".
