My name is Dorothy. I'm a quiet reserved person. I was brought up on a dairy farm, 2nd youngest of 11 children. There are now 9 of us still alive. I married John, my late husband & had 5 children. Three males & 2 females. They have all grown up and have their own lifestyle with spouses & children. John & I shared 27 years together before he passed away. I live in a town in Central Victoria within an hours drive to Melbourne. Usually, take the train to Melbourne to visit family & friends. I like to go out to movies, theatre and/or dinner with interesting people who have good conversational skills. I enjoy potting out in my garden....great therapy. Volunter at one of the local op shops. Have travelled about Australia & overseas. Visit my daughters in UK every 2-3 years. Try to find a positive aspect in all that life deals to me

Hi I am unsure how to start this so here goes.I believe in the power of God to help us through life. The most influential person in my life was my Mum, The things I look forward to most are seeing my children and grandchildren who live over east and spending time with my others at home.I love cooking and making my home agreat place to relax after stressful days at work. To relax and clear my thoughts I walk sometimes with my dog Bonnie if she agrees to come with me . My work involves caring for people at a very special time in their lives,so I have had to learn to care for myself aswell

I'm a practising Catholic who is also fond of exploring cultures. I have very good sense of humour, down-to-earth, passionate, honest and thoughtful, caring, friendly, people person and a listener. I have cheerful disposition and try to start the day with great enthusiasm and a good head on my shoulders. I love that being a trustworthy person I can also learned to trust people by heart. I also learned not to take myself and other people for granted. I may not be perfect but I try as much as possible to be on good terms with people from all walks of life and be content of what God gives me. Being a nature lover I'm very passionate about the environment and all creatures. I love R&B music, love watching musicals, concerts and love to travel. I love cooking, gardening, puttering around the house and walking along the beach. I love holding hands and being romantic. I always believe that romance add spice to a relationship. My favourite quotation is "Never judge a book by its cover." My parents had the greatest influence in my life. They always encouraged me to pursue and use my potentials to achieve my dreams in life. Religiously, my grandfather influenced me in going to church when I was a little girl. On Sundays he and I went to Mass together. During Lent, my grandfather and I stayed longer in church praying the Way of the Cross, rosary and listening to the Seven Last Words. Then on Easter Sunday we have to go to church at dawn for the "Salubong". (This is a Filipino tradition during Easter Sunday. The Risen Christ and Mother Mary would meet at a certain point). Sorry I cannot explain this very well. My parents also taught me that a person who knows how to respect another person can always expect to be respected.

My hobbies are gardening, reading, walking and doing craft actitivies and love socializing with family and friends. My parents have influenced me through my life, but unfortunately they are not with me now and I have instilled the same values into my children that they did with me and they have turned out lovely young adults. I am looking forward to meeting a nice man who shares the same values. I would love to do some travelling as well as there are many place to see out there. Preferrably I am looking for a man who lives in the Rockhampton Queensland, Emu Park or Yeppoon Capricorn Coast Queensland area or Gladstone Queensland areas as I don't want long distance travel.
