  • Carmelita, 67 from BRUSSELS, BE
    67, BRUSSELS, BE
I am a Canadian Filipino living in Brussels, where I worked for twelve years with an international organization as the focal point for information/communication services and IT/telecommunications systems. I have a deep love for God and a joy for life. I am interested in quite a number of things: music, theatre, art, architecture, nature, religion, psychology, philosophy, technology, history, photography and alternative healing methods. I love to laugh, listen to music, sing and dance. (I fell in love with an antique mini-grand piano, bought it and took piano and voice lessons--just for fun.) I enjoy going to concerts and the theatre, reading, traveling, taking long drives, cooking, entertaining people, and growing houseplants. I play tennis and like taking walks/hikes. I go home to Toronto and to New York once or twice a year to be with family. I also visit my daughter in London and my sister in Geneva quite often.
  • Charlaine, 44 from Leuven, BE
    44, Leuven, BE
I was born in Taipei, Taiwan and had a strict Confucian upbringing. It left me with a strong sense of morality and ethics, and zeal for art and culture. Yet my soul had been so craving for something that it always felt empty and miserable. I didn't really know what it was until I read John's gospel, came across a book about Mother Teresa, and had an overwhelming experience of the Holy Spirit through her. Her profound love for the poorest of the poor and complete humility, self-abandonment, obedience, and trust in God shamed me to the core of my soul and filled me with new comprehension of love. However, I knew if I knelt down to kiss her foot, she would definitely help me up and show me the way to Jesus. On Christmas Eve in 2002, I got baptized into the Catholic Church, and that was the most blissful moment in my life. Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, the star that led me to worship baby Jesus, is the patron saint of my baptism, and St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein) is the patron saint of my confirmation. I am the contemplative type and have found myself especially attracted to Carmelite spirituality. I strive to improve myself according to God's will but constantly fail, yet I am still often moved to tears by Jesus' loving grace. He loves me more than I can ever imagine. Even at the time when I feel too ashamed to face Jesus, I am still determined to be repenting Peter rather than despairing Judas - I would throw myself into Virgin Marys arms and beg for her intercession. Aside from Mother Teresa, I especially admire St Francis of Assisi for his cosmic love for the whole universe, Fr. Pio for his simpleness, humility, and reverence, and Edith Stein for her delicate intellectual charity and similar conversion story with mine. I am a care taker, nature lover, and enjoy music very much. An animal lover since very little, and enjoy talking and preaching to them no matter what people might think of me. Instead of powerful or luxury things, simpleness and humbleness always catch my eyes. I believe every war against evil should be inside our souls first, and if there is no love, there is no real justice. I don't like any kinds of ethnic or cultural centrism, and have found that the difference between most of the antagonistic powers in the international society might not be bigger than that between Pontius Pilate and Herod Antipas.
  • Genevieve, 55 from Antwerp, BE
    55, Antwerp, BE
Very feminine, very affectionate, peace-loving, lover of nature (as such, i love the sea--beaches, snorkling, swimming, boats, fishing, the mountains with its bodies of water and most of outdoor activities) ; music (dancing, singing, watching concerts); plants (I love indoor plants a lot, outdoor ones too..the flowers!) ; animals; children & babies (next of kin or not--i just have a big heart for them :-) I am patient, loyal & true. My friends like me because, they say, I am very easy to get along with. --"There is a reason for anything/everything that exists (circumstances and the 3 forms of matter or things tangible and intangible)."-- I wish to find someone to love and respect for the rest of my life. Someone I would truly feel I belong to. Someone who likes at least some of the things that I like. He should be older than me, taller than me, kind, monogamous, with a good principle in life, intelligent and comfortable in life. Somebody who could love me truly and honestly as I am. --- I believe there are so many things to discover in someone. Obviously, the space here is not enough to say so much about oneself. This works both ways... So do we deserve a good talk? If you think so, let's move on to the next step, maybe we would realize, (after the lifelong search), that we were the ones meant for each other.
  • Inga, 33 from BRUSSELS, BE
    33, BRUSSELS, BE
Hello! My name is Inga. I am 32 years old. Orginally I am from Lithuania but living in Belgium. I love nature, singing in the choir and dancing. I am looking forward to meet somebody who is honest, open and cheerful and for whom faith in God is the basis of his life.
  • Ariane, 29 from BRUSSELS, BE
    29, BRUSSELS, BE
I'm a traditional Catholic who attends the Latin mass. I would describe myself as intellectual, passionate, conservative, sometimes quirky :-) I'm firmly attached to my Catholic principles, which guide as a Compas needle points to the true North. In my leisure time I enjoy reading (mostly non-fiction; philosophy, history, biographies, travel), listening to music (I can't play, sadly, but I'd love to take up the violin again, or else the piano), visiting museums and attending concerts, and spending time with friends, especially engrossed in a thought-provoking discussion about literature or current affairs or "Life". I love nature and really enjoy taking long walks in the forest or a park (although it's more fun with a walking companion, I think ;-) It's important to me to have an active and healthy lifestyle. And I don't watch TV :-) I'm not one for small talk.
  • Charlotte, 38 from Brussels, BE
    38, Brussels, BE
Passionate about the outdoors, nature, laughter, simple spontaneity, exploring, adventure, sports, music, art, culture, playing outside Occupied by not so simple science and engineering I'd be very glad to meet some good catholic people, make new friends, and enjoy a catholic life with others...
  • Sylvia, 56 from Brugge, BE
    56, Brugge, BE
It seems that a profile text needs to be serious. I mean: no joking, no tongue in cheek. So let's stick to the facts: I'm a young mother, although of a certain age. That information matters a lot. As an author, I'm mad about my job. Writing serves so much more purposes than just paying the bills. Living on my own for about six years, I start to long for compagnionship. I would like to meet people who have a keen interest in history, especially church history, art, literature and ofcourse in our precious catholic faith.
  • Reyn, 36 from Gent, BE
    36, Gent, BE
English is my thirth language. I understand it good, but can't express myself like I would wish... I don't feel so comfortable to describe myself here (I think I'm not the only ;-)). Of course I will answer your questions! I heard from different friends that it's good to pray for your future husband. Not-catholic friends tell me, I have to be modern and try with internet. Now I do both... Maybe God will hear my prayer and bring us together. ;-) I'm a very buzzy person. I like first of all my job! When I have time, I like sewing, drawing, reading, gardening, hiking, babysitting on my four nieces, cooking... I never get bored!
  • Imelda, 57 from Zaventem, BE
    57, Zaventem, BE
My name is Imelda, originally came from the Philippines. I am a widower with one daughter and a grandma to a 6 years old boy. I love travelling and playing bowling but not like a professional bowler. Cooking is my passion.
  • Cecilia, 30 from Brussels, BE
    30, Brussels, BE
I am a very curious person, I like many things like traveling, kids, animals, arts, music, studies, and I am interested in basically everything that I don't know yet ( anything good for my own growth). I am positive, outgoing , but even very reserved, sensible and hopefully funny.i' ve been trough some hard times in my life and it made me understand many things, and this is why I am not afraid of suffering. When there is a problem I try to solve it or learn from it, I don't like those who constantly complain about everything. I am very patience and mostly loyal, everyone thinks of me as a home where they know they can always go no matter what happens in life and it is something I really like. I was raised into a chatolic home but faith wasn't important for my parents. By the way since I was little I recognized God presence and through the years I've experienced many things, some even extraordinary that rooted me more into my faith and made my decision firm. I love the Eucharist and the cross, our mother and st Joseph . God is the most important part of my life and I'd like to talk or meet with someone who shares the same for a change ( since where I live and in the world most of those who I know don't)

  • Louise, 23 from Brussels, BE
    23, Brussels, BE
Hey! Well, so this will be just a temporary text, until I find my marks on this site, so I'll update this in a bit. I'm studying comics, which is really great and a lot more serious than it might seem at first glance! My faith is really important to me and does play a big role in my life. Luckily I have found great catholic friends in my new city, but what I'm really looking for is one someone to share my life and faith with.
