I look forward to each new day; a chance to review, re-evaluate and take on different perspectives and be challenged by the unexpected...and yet keep grounded by the daily routines of life. I have gratitude for my parents and my teachers. My parents taught me to be independent from an early age and my teachers taught me how to stretch my potential... and both gave me values that are my compass to this day. When its leisure time I like to relax, enjoy time to myself as well as meet up with friends and 're-connect' in person. My friendships are important to me and I try to stay in touch even long-distance.

My passion is children. They are unique little souls without guile. Gardening is next. I tend the growing plants and leave the rest to God. Salsa dancing is so much fun -- even the mistakes. I'm not obsessive about these, but take delight in them. Cursillo is an experience that brings me closer in faith to Jesus. It pushes me like a wave throughout my life by enriching my spirituality. The many people I meet through the Cursillo movement make me aware of how God is present in our lives. My leisure time can be active - salsa dancing, tai chi, training the dog & long walks to tire the dog out. Quiet time is reading, gardening. I enjoy an evening with friends to share a good meal, a bit of wine and to catch up with each other. My extended family lives at a distance so we catch up mainly by phone calls and visit when we can. Our birthdays are becoming family reunions as we realize we need to get together from across Canada more regularly.

I have recently decided to remain single - have found this site to be excellent in discerning my direction over the past 15 years - really enriched my life during difficult times - friendships have always been important to me - so rewarding to find such a loving group to include myself - I believe in 'Christian' church communities - how about you? - My hope is to develop my prayer life more through readings and listening to the views of 'Christian' Theologians of today!!! - as my family of youth never supported me in a faith journey I appreciate those who did along my journey - my family always threw me a few dollars to get lost - always authoritarian - 'what can you do for me' - only a few true friends along the way - I will continue my faith journey as many singles do - pray for a loving relationship, - so difficult to find someone who 'cares' - waking up to this social reality of such a hostile secular world is very upsetting - God Bless you in your search for a true 'Christian' partner!!! - I have 8 years until retirement from work - on a centurions life this is not much - I'm looking forward to the next 30 + years of my life.

Introduce myself - hmm... I am passionate about ballroom dancing and take lessons to improve my skills. Dancing is fabulous exercise for both the body and the brain and it gives the dancer to express the beauty, joy, passion, melancholy of music. The ambiance of France has great appeal to me. One day I would like to be somewhat fluent in the French language. One of my dreams is to spend at least 4 months in France in some small village improving my French skills and travelling around the country venturing into the neighbouring countries too. Family and friends are very important to me. I like having dinner with friends either at my home or theirs and engaging in lively, intellectually bent conversations. I am close with both of my older siblings, neither of whom lives near. Nonetheless, we have been able to maintain a close, loving and respectful bond, just as we had in childhood. My mother and brother have been powerful influences on my spiritual life. Despite life difficulties, they had that inner peace and joy that I envied. My mother, now deceased, was a deeply spiritual, as well as an intensely liberal, forward-thinking woman.

I am passionate about my life in general; my 2 adult children, my family, friends, my faith and my profession. Having been on my own for quite a few years I am looking forward to entering the world of dating and hopefully meeting a man with common interests and purpose driven. The opportunity to meet someone who shares my faith - would be excellent and I am looking forward to that as well. My parents and one of my Grandmothers had the greatest influence on my life from a very young age. My folks - were best friends and I could not have HOPED for better parents. They were 110% dedicated to each other as well as to all 4 children. My Grandma - was the hardest working and happiest person I ever met and she taught me so very much. I began singing & playing guitar (professionally) at a young age (12) - that experience began at a folk mass when I was 11 - and took me out to entertaining in restaurants, hotels, etc. For many years. Still today - I continue to lead/play as music director at my parish for the 7:30pm Sunday Guitar Mass. I enjoy music (playing/singing), walking, gardening, travel and taking in spectator sports in my leisure time.
