43, Surrey, CAI am finding it difficult to write about myself esp doing so in public :D. Would prefer to communicate privately but I will try my best to put out what encapsulates best my motivation to live. I am passionate and compassionate when I am doing my work at a nursing home in Vancouver and consider it a privilege to be able to learn from the wisdom of older people. I can imagine how St. John the Apostle must have taken good care of the Blessed Mother when she was older. Typically, in my sparetime, I love to indulge in reading business, inspirational (biography), motivational, self-help, health and spiritual books (I usually go for Catholic authors) and would occasionally go for lighter ones like comics (asterix) , or mystery genre. I can be outgoing and reserved depending on the situation. I like to explore doing new stuff (like dreaming of going scuba, water rafting etc :) . Would love to travel to a lot of places someday. Fortunately, I had a father who was always joking and somehow I had inherited that aspect of his personality. I love a good conversation, to banter or simply be playful in order to de-stress from the many concerns in life. However, I can also be pensive and prefer at the end of the day before bed to have time for myself and think things through. Striving to be more sensitive to the daily "bulletins" from heaven :). I have not always been a good daughter of the Church (almost left it), not always lived according to Christian principles and often times take it for granted but I really strive to be hopefully more faithful now (more falls than ups ) :). I guess if it is possible for the Church to disown me, I would still cling to it with my life for I know now more than ever the immense Gift of the Catholic Faith. I have the privileged of receiving my first holy communion from Pope John Paul II in 1981 and in retrospect, I feel that singular event in my young life (at 8) had poured out countless graces for my life. I just feel guilty that at times I just get to recognize it only a little later. I have the ardent desire to bring a lot of people to know Christ in my own little way (through prayers and my life hopefully) whether they are fallen away Catholics, other Christians or non-Christians.
29, Vancouver, CAI love my faith. It's everything to me. Can we all just take a minute and talk about how awesome God is? I'm outgoing, passionate, curious and I love to laugh. I enjoy travelling and adventure but also like relaxing at home with a good book (I haven't met a bookstore or library I didn't get along with). I'm kind of obsessed with game/trivia nights (I can be pretty competitive in charades) and am always ready for an impromptu dance party or car karaoke. Spare time is a little hard to come by these days but when I can manage it I'm usually outdoors, playing sports (terribly), dancing, discovering secret/interesting hideaways or in a cafe drinking coffee. I'm really close to my family and friends. God has blessed me with some amazing people to experience this life with. I'm a Registered Nurse and really love what I do. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree full time on top of that so I suppose I'm sort of learning to juggle?
36, Vancouver, CAHi. Let me tell you a bit about me. I am someone who loves the outdoors. I few things I like doing are going for walks, hikes, camping, swimming and golfing. I love to read. I am close with my family. I go to church regularly. My friends would describe me as being a kind, sweet, fun loving person. One day I would really like to be a wife and mother. If you want to know more message me. :)
32, Richmond, CAHello Everyone :) A little bit about myself. I'm a devoted Catholic, I fully agree with all the teachings of the Church and hope to meet someone who shares the same faith and values as I have. My faith is very important to me and I believe that Christ is the foundation of any relationship. I am open to life and very much in love with our holy Mother Church. May Our Blessed Mother guide each one of us to find the right vocation that will lead us to Heaven, our eternal home. God bless!
69, Surrey, CAI look forward to each new day; a chance to review, re-evaluate and take on different perspectives and be challenged by the unexpected...and yet keep grounded by the daily routines of life. I have gratitude for my parents and my teachers. My parents taught me to be independent from an early age and my teachers taught me how to stretch my potential... and both gave me values that are my compass to this day. When its leisure time I like to relax, enjoy time to myself as well as meet up with friends and 're-connect' in person. My friendships are important to me and I try to stay in touch even long-distance.
27, Victoria, CAI am a classical singer. This takes up copious amounts of my spare time. And I love every minute of it. I am a bookworm. Let me say that again. I am a bookworm. There are entire worlds within the covers of a book and I go explore when I can. I spend as much time with my friends as possible. I enjoy being outside, not specifically playing a sport 'cause they generally require hand-eye coordination and I have none. Believe me, I have tried enough different things to know it's not the specific activity.
45, Delta, CAI am a happy, positive person who tries to grow from the hard knocks that we all face in life. I am fiercely loyal, family focused, compassionate, generally even keeled (though with a definite wild streak and stories to tell), my humor runs towards the goofball, I tend to be insightful and open minded, and am not ego driven...I have no problem saying I am wrong or apologizing if need be :) I would love to do more travel, and I love adventures....but more the kind where you hop in the car for an impromptu road trip, fly to Kauai to raft the canals or try paddleboarding than jumping out of planes. My days of snowboarding and rock climbing are behind me, I'm afraid. If you are into that stuff that's great, I'll gladly cheer you on! I'm more about finding those hidden gems than going to the latest greatest spot, though those can be fun too. I love corny things like mini golf and bowling and tipping canoes. Camping is a summertime must, even here where that oftentimes means camping in the rain. I used to love fishing, even though I never caught anything. Now I am a fish owner and I am afraid I *might* catch something, so I've retired the fishing pole for the time being. Gah, I am just now realizing that I still eat sushi. It's a good thing I didn't say I have integrity ;) As a child and family therapist I make a decent living and at the end of a good day I can say that I have helped some people, so that's worth a lot. Plus my kids love to come visit me at work because I have toys :) I am a regular church goer, my kids (son, 8 and daughter, 6) go to Catholic school. My religion is important to me and I would love to find someone who shares this, or is open to it. As a Catholic I am pretty rule bound, unless I am scaling fences or breaking into the Showgirls theatre in Vegas...but y'know I don't let my kids put their fingertips all over glass cases or anything reckless like that ;) I am looking for someone to adore, a partner to stand beside. I feel like my life is already so great, but finding that person to share it with will make it even more amazing. A man who is loyal, has integrity and shows compassion is what I am looking for. Someone who is looking as much for a spiritual connection as a physical one.
56, Vancouver, CAI enjoy music. I'm hooked on Spotify! I've discovered genres I didn't know existed and even more surprising to me, have developed an appreciation for country music. I've also lived overseas, spent a few years in a small village in the interior, raised a fine young man and traveled a fair bit. I've gone trekking in the Andes, enjoyed the opera in Venice and ate my way through the tapas bars in San Sebastian. What a blast! All of it. And yet in spite of all that living, I somehow managed to get lost in the trails on Cypress last summer and I wrestle with the Xmas lights every year. I still have much to learn. I care about being healthy, enjoy being outside, have a newfound curiosity about architecture, a weakness for shoes and am trying to master the art of baking a lemon meringue pie. I think shared interests are great and different interests keep it interesting. I'm lucky to have family and friends to love, enjoy and inspire me but there is space in my life for someone else. Someone with a zest for life. Someone who makes me laugh and makes me think. Someone thoughtful. Someone kind.
26, Victoria, CAFaith, Family, Fellowship - these are the top three things that I value in my life. I am a fairly joyful person who, although introverted, loves spending time with others in various activities. Faith: my faith has really shaped who I am and I don't know where I would be without it. Over the years I have been challenged in my faith in such a way that has made me sure of the truth of the Catholic Church. I know I am not perfect and that I sometimes struggle in my prayer life, but I know that God will never abandon me. Family: my family has truly been my rock (aside from Christ of course). Whenever I am struggling I know that they will be there to support me. Nothing like a dose of family fun to make me feel better ;) I hope that I may bring the joy and support that my family has brought me into the family that I create some day. Fellowship: this ties in closely with faith and family. My Catholic community has always felt like an extension of my family and having friends who will support me in my faith and keep me accountable, while also providing a solid, honest and open social life is very important to me. I've never been much of a leader (I tend to be a background worker/planner), so having friends who will take charge and decide what to do is great. I work as a pastry chef at a local brewpub. Although I don't have formal training I have worked my way up from dishwasher to pastry chef in a year which I am still amazed at (more details below). Some of my interests include reading, board games, movies and the occasional video game. During the past year I have started bouldering and it has become quite the hobby.
27, Vancouver, CAYou found me! I will make this short, simple and sweet. I'm an old soul who loves: i. God. ii. my family and friends. iii. my job for the challenges and joy it brings into my life. iv. anything that allows my creative juices to work, such as card making projects to home video editing. v. planning and organizing social events from the latest plays/musicals, orchestra evenings, and dinner parties. vi. listening to stories and sharing life experiences. vii. to laugh and smile a lot! viii. to explore, see, and try new things. If you've read this far well Thank You for taking the time! Now I'll leave you with this line that's my driving source and motivation at the moment. "What are you waiting for...?"
37, Richmond, CAHi! My faith is very important to me and I would like to get to know someone who feels the same way. I enjoy travel and spending time with friends and family. I look forward to hearing from you.
