64, Vancouver, CAMy epiphany moment was in May shortly after my 64th birthday when I gained sudden awareness of my true identity and call to show my spark of greatness to the world leading to the discovery of my life's work! It's no coincidence that the Jubilee Year of Mercy was chosen by God to reveal His awesome mercy towards me. And I've started the special book He's inspired me to write...for His greater glory :)) However, my sights are set on the critics' award for He deserves the highest of honours. Can I do it? I read a quote on a member's profile, "A real woman can do it all by herself...but a real man won't let her!" I know that I'm a woman of some man's dream. Yours perhaps? Frankly, things are far from perfect in my life. Though I come across as independent, self-sufficient and assertive, I wasn't always this way. Finding myself approaching middle-age alone, Life forced me to develop these qualities as a survival mechanism. Deep inside, I'm vulnerable. And maybe still scared of abandonment. However, it's served me well for I developed the most important intimate relationship in the world and now HE is my everything! Through His amazing grace, I've got rid of my unwanted baggage - almost... And become my best self - almost... That's where you could help me. Your support, encouragement and belief in me would do me wonders! For I want very much for you to be "charmed and enchanted" by me :)) For I'm still a young at heart romantic, warm, cuddly and playful. But I do need my times of solitude to ponder and commune with the Love of my life. As for character, I'm told I'm vivacious, articulate, enthusiastic and honest. You can always count on me to keep my word and I'll never compromise my loyalty. But my main strengths are: Determination, which helped me overcome setbacks of life whenever courage failed me. As after fracturing my right leg 3 years ago, I am now able to dance and run again despite metal bars and a dozen screws in my leg! And Hope, a virtue I fell in love with in the Sixties, has sustained me with the song, "When you walk with hope in your heart, you never walk alone!" How grateful I am for growing up in that sweet by-gone era and now living in a marvellous high-tech world. I have an intuition that among the many facets of my self, there is still a caterpillar stage and only with my special man shall I be able to surrender to fully bloom as the woman that was always God's dream and design for me...
64, Coquitlam, CAMy passion is children. They are unique little souls without guile. Gardening is next. I tend the growing plants and leave the rest to God. Salsa dancing is so much fun -- even the mistakes. I'm not obsessive about these, but take delight in them. Cursillo is an experience that brings me closer in faith to Jesus. It pushes me like a wave throughout my life by enriching my spirituality. The many people I meet through the Cursillo movement make me aware of how God is present in our lives. My leisure time can be active - salsa dancing, tai chi, training the dog & long walks to tire the dog out. Quiet time is reading, gardening. I enjoy an evening with friends to share a good meal, a bit of wine and to catch up with each other. My extended family lives at a distance so we catch up mainly by phone calls and visit when we can. Our birthdays are becoming family reunions as we realize we need to get together from across Canada more regularly.

64, Surrey, CAI have found this site to be excellent in discerning my direction over the past 15 years - really has enriched my life during difficult times - friendships have always been important to me - so rewarding to find such a loving group to include myself - I believe in 'Christian' church communities - how about you? - My hope is to develop my prayer life more through readings and listening to the views of our 'Christian' Theologians of today!!! - reflecting on the Christian Churches history is necessary to find direction and understanding - as my family never supported me in a faith journey I appreciate deeply those who did in my life journey - my family always put the dollar first, and 'what can you do for me!' - as difficult as this has been for me I will continue my faith journey as many do finding strength in prayer - God Bless you in your search for a 'life' partner.

67, Cobble Hill, CAHi, I'm semi-retired now wishing to meet a man who practices our faith, who is fun to be with, kind, honest, contented with his life for the most part, who lives a fairly healthy life-style and who likes a bit of adventure. I love boating (though I don't have a boat) and having lived on the west coast for most of my life, love it here.

70, Victoria, CAI am passionate about the beauty and joy of being alive and healthy . There are so many things I enjoy , from a colored leaf , to a good book , to a stroll through the park , to learning new things , to quietly watching the sunrise or sunset , to sharing a laugh or a tear with a good friend .
63, Victoria, CAWhen I started working on my social work degree in my forties, it felt like such a good fit and though the work has been challenging I have had a passion for it . I must admit I've become a bit more cynical about systems (apparently social work years are like dog years, 1 = 7). Family is very important to me, we make time for each other, share each others joys and challenges, support one another while respecting independence. Mass has become more important to me over the years. Praying, asking God questions and trying to listen to his plans for me, - all important aspects of my daily life. I think my husband was very influential in my life. He encouraged me to pursue a career when I didn't believe I had the parts to do it. My four children, who stretched me to the limit, showed me how to think beyond myself, taught me patience, endurance and stretched my heart giving me capacity for greater love. Leisure time? I've had some of the best times in my life snorkelling in warm waters, I enjoy traveling, walking my dogs in beautiful surroundings, I love working with my hands in my spare time, sewing, quilting, paper crafts, working on improving my home, gardening, I'm an avid reader. I enjoy activities with friends and family, walks, movies, dining in or trying a different restaurant now and again. I look forward to planning vacations, for myself, family, foster parents, co-workers - that is fun. I'm a bit of an expert on Disney Parks and Cruises and must confess I have a soft spot in my heart for The Mouse.
71, West Kelowna, CAI am definetely a " nature" person: going hiking or for a walk in the forest, listening to the sounds or observing birds and their behavior or stopping to smell a wild flower or just simply admiring the awesome beauty of it all and being so thankfull for each minute. I am a firm believer that in order to stay young and healthy one must be active: I enjoy cycling, hiking, swimming and in the winter, snowshoeing in the mountains and outdoor skating is wonderful. Did I mention that I LOVE dancing ( any kind) as well. Attending mass during the week is something I constantly try to improve and my Sunday mass is very important to me, both the nourishment that one receives for their soul and as well the graces that HE gives me so that I can better discern HIS will in my life. My daughter and her family are very important to me, just wish I could be with them more often! Friends describe me as : bubbly, considerate and honest. My baby sister was always a very important part of my life, both in her support and her advice and listening ear whenever I needed. I look forward to sharing my life, goals with someone who shares my catholic beliefs, is considerate, honest sensitive to the needs of others, good communication skills , positive and loves life.
