67, Salinas, CALife is for loving and adventure! I'm basically dedicated and loyal to family, friends, faith and profession. My favorite activities are hiking, gardening, travel, reading, movies, dancing, touring historical sites, camping, board and card games, and just hanging out with friends and family cooking favorite foods. I enjoy both rolling up my sleeves to take on projects as well as fun and formal times out on the town. My faith is very important. For me, it is the source of the spirit of life, it's a joy and freedom. Serving on committees and volunteering in my church and community are just a natural extention of myself and also provides me with a well rounded life. My profession is in education...it has taken me near and far over the years. I like to prepare healthy foods, this along with regular walking and Jazzercise for exercise have kept me in good shape in both body and mind. I'm basically a spontanious, generous, financially secure, educated person who enjoys both the simple things of life: evenings at home, laughter, friends; and some special events as well. I enjoy people, so go ahead and message me!
70, San Luis Obispo, CA"May God grant you always... A sunbeam to warm you A moonbeam to charm you A sheltering Angel so nothing can harm you. Laughter to cheer you. Faithful friends near you. And whenever you pray, Heaven to hear you." My name is Wanda Rose. A naturalist by heart, I am captivated by the beauty and wonders of nature. My friends describe me as being... young at heart...affectionate... fun-loving...energetic...cheerful...compassionate... passionate...creative... adventurous...genuine... spiritual... Music, art, writing, health, the outdoors, and homemaking are my interests. Quiet time is important to me for prayer..being social is also essential for me. I have a compassionate heart, and prefer a good communication style that is considerate of others' feelings. Being honest does not have to be hurtful! My home is usually clean and orderly. I vote pro-life. If my match is a sports-fan then I would love to snuggle up close and share his interest. I am family-oriented, and I hope that this would be mutual. I tend to be adventurous ...I have skydived but have mellowed out quite abit and today I enjoy watching birds and butterflies fly. It's a thrill when they land right beside me and stay there for awhile.
64, Aptos, CAI am an Italian-American woman who loves her children very much. My career as a pharmacist led me to meet and help many people along the way.I enjoyed the interaction with the public and still like to chat with people I meet every day. My passions in life include my desire to travel, reading mystery/thriller novels, watch romantic Masterpiece series on PBS,antiques and wine tasting. I would be a great partner because I would be at his side sharing his life as well as allow him his "quiet time." I would enjoy trying new things with my partner, sharing his passions in life. To me a great relationship would be the exchanging of ideas and the love of being together in good times and bad.
62, Santa Cruz, CAI am most passionate about having a happy family life! I look forward to many more years of enjoying my children and now their children. These experiences keep me feeling young and content with my life. I come from a strong Catholic family background and have raised my family pretty much the same as I was, that is the parochial school system and contact with the Dominican Order. I live near the ocean so spreading time on the beach is so relaxing and enjoyable. Summer beach concerts are always a lot fun!
62, Capitola, CAMy faith and my friendship with God are important to me. I wish to meet someone to share my faith and my life. I love nature and all that is beautiful. I enjoy reading, walking, exercise, theatre, movies, being with friends and family, and traveling. I have a good sense of humor and love to laugh. I have a masters in counseling psychology and work as a therapist on a mobile crisis unit and in private practice.
61, Arroyo Grande, CAI am honest, caring, empathetic, and have a good sense of humor. I love the ocean, mountains and anything outside! Absolutely adore animals, and love to take my Golden Retriever, Sophie on walks, and just stare at how gorgeous she is. Volunteering for animal groups, whether it be for animal rights or protecting and rehabilitating sea lions, dogs, cats, pelicans, animals at the zoo, etc. has always been a big part of my life, as is standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves, such as the elderly. I try to make a difference in this world, as small as my contribution might be, helping others. I enjoy others who want to take care of others as well, and not be selfish in their own world, thinking of just their own happiness. It gives me pleasure to help an injured animal, or an elderly person who has no one in their world caring about them. I was a college professor as one of my professions and I truly enjoyed working with students of all ages and derived great satisfaction and joy from their learning and eventually reaching their goals. I am very passionate about whatever I commit to and work hard to be the best I can be. It's very important to me that others know that I care about their well being, success and happiness.
70, Carmel Valley, CAI am a practicing Catholic, lector, eucharistic minister. I also sit zazen with a local Zen group on Fridays. I had never heard of the Camino de Santiago until I randomly checked a book about it out of the library in 2007. I immediately felt it was made expressly for me. I love to walk, to travel, to meet people from other countries, to listen to other languages, to visit churches. April 2008 my husband and I started walking from LePuy, France, on our way to Santiago. Unfortunately Charles never made it to Santiago, he died along the way about 20 miles east of Burgos, Spain. (I am now open to meeting someone new but I will always be grateful to Charles for our 34 years and 3 children together.) September 2008 I went back to Spain and finished what is called the Camino Frances. In 2011 my then 11 year old grandson and I walked across Switzerland, and in 2012 across France. 2014 I went alone to walk the Camino del Norte along the north coast of Spain. (Parts of it look exactly like the Big Sur coast.) I made it about halfway when I fell and broke my leg. Complications arose. I had 5 surgeries, 4 at Stanford. By March 2015 I was back on my feet and dreaming about going back to Spain. April 2016 I went down a giant slide with my 2 year old granddaughter and incurred a compression fracture. September 1 returned to full activity. I joined a gym and hired a personal trainer. I'm going back to finish the Camino del Norte starting in March 2017. I'll be slow, but it's not a race. Another interest of mine is writing poetry. I have had a few poems published in a local, low circulation magazine. I will be taking a poetry writing class through Stanford Continuing Studies this fall, driving to Palo Alto every Tuesday. Very exciting! Enough for now.
61, Salinas, CAI've been Catholic all of my adult life. I am the the mother of 3 sons and 1 daughter. As you might guess my children are my greatest blessing and joy. We get together for birthdays and major holidays. I like sports of every kind and will watch almost any sport. I'll watch any sport if I have someone to watch with me. Baseball and basketball are my favorites. My children are independent, honorable and want nothing more than for their Mom to be happy. My photos are fairly recent, the picture where I am sitting on a stool was taken in April a few weeks ago. Finding someone special to take a walk with or see a movie with would make my life so much more meaningful. I very much miss the affection and opportunity to hold hands and give hugs and receive hugs. If there is to be more than that, it is up to God and you.
60, Carmel, CAMy faith is most important to me and next, of course, is my family. I was married for 33 years and my husband passed away 3 1/2 years ago. I am looking for someone who shares my faith and would go to mass with me and be my soulmate. I am a graphic designer and photographer. I believe in being active. I play tennis, golf, ride bikes, hike and walk in my free time. I have 7 children. My youngest is a freshman at the University of Limerick, in Ireland. I love family time, we play games and sing and play music together. I like broadway plays...musicals and movies. I love the ocean, beaches and mountains. I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Our family owns a few business and so I do travel here and there and I visit my two daughters who live in different states. I love to have fun and laugh...life should never be taken to seriously. But, I do take my faith seriously and hope not to miss Jesus as he is passing by in those around me.
60, Arroyo Grande, CAI feel like I've got a second chance at happiness.I am ready to start the journey with the right partner by my side. I enjoy music, concerts, hikes, reading, theater, gardening, cooking together, movies, going places that I haven't been before.
65, Carmel-By-The-Sea, CAI am passionate about reading so am looking for another bookworm! Lately have come to a crossroads - or a threshold! I've been dividing the year between California and the Big Island of Hawaii for over thirty years and am getting ready to retire from work that I've loved, venture into sharing life with a Catholic man and doing more volunteer work. I enjoy (very) early morning walks on the beach, swimming, reading, Catholic films and art. Attend a Carmelite monastery in Carmel and small parish in Hawaii. I never bought a TV set (after reading research on television's impact on children's brains in 1970!) but do have a home theatre for watching select movies. Currently have no pets (Hawaii has regulations about importing) so I am fostering five orphan kittens this summer! Hoping to find a fellow Catholic who loves reading and enjoys a more contemplative, low tech or disconnected lifestyle. I'm sensitive to beauty, grace and try my utmost to strike a balance between heaven and earth.
69, Cayucos, CAI depend and trust in God on a daily basis. I love having dinner parties and making cookies for people. I am focused on my writing and my service dog Bud. I exercise on a daily basis, and am very active.. however I am disabled. I currently use a walker, but that doesn't stop me. I am looking for a gentleman to start a friendship with before romance. I like my independence, and don't need to be with someone 24/7. I am looking for true love, and am a very loving phenomenal lady! I have a great sense of humor and hope you have the same. I try to do the most I can everyday to be of service to people, and consider myself a kind, loving woman. I am currently working on writing my third book. I live a sober, healthy lifestyle and have been sober for thirty two years, and still enjoy going to AA meetings. I have been a homeowner for 35 years at my favorite place to be.
