I enjoy helping people become healthy and believe that they can improve the quality of their daily living through exercise and belief. I am a Tai Chi and Qigong instructor, personal trainer in a healthcare setting. Watching people achieving their health goals is very rewarding. I have learned that "age" is just a number. It is how you feel and behave that makes the difference. I am an energetic person and enjoy the energies of life.

Hi I'm 61 yrs old. I became a widow last 1994. He was a very good husband to me and a great father to our son. He will always a have a special part in my heart. But now I found this website, I'm thinking maybe I am ready and can meet a good gentleman just like my first husband. I've been involve in a catholic ministry called Handmaids of The Lord. His ministry consists of single women: divorced, widowed or never been married. I would like to meet someone with the same faith as mine. Someone who is matured, has good moral values and a good family man. I enjoy outings, family and friends, music, some dancing and singing, movies, theaters. Oh yes, talking and interacting. I could be shy at first but once comfortable, friends who know me well will say I love to talk. (Making a short story long). So I'm hoping there is someone out there for me as a friend or partner for life in God's grace.
  • Kathryn, 75 from El Sobrante, CA
    75, El Sobrante, CA
I am a widow for the past six years. My deceased husband was not a Catholic but he was a most wonderful man and very spiritual. I was happily married for 46 years and have three great children all of whom are married and three grandchildren with one granddaughter on the way. Since my husband passed away, I decided to go back to school and am completing a master's degree at John F. Kennedy University in Psychology with a specialization in Bereavement. I hope to be able to work with parents who have lost children in the military service. My mother died when I was only 10 years old and my father raised me and my two brothers with the help of extended family. My father was a very influential person in my life and I felt as though he was very trusting of me and that I had to maintain very high standards because he expected it of me. He also died young at age 67 and that was a great loss to me. Also of great note in my life was my husband Hasan who was born and raised in Afghanistan. I married him when I was 21 years old and we met at UC Berkeley. He studied architecture and then went into the restaurant business. He was very talented and was successful in his business. He took some business gambles which did not pay off and we had to work together to rebuild our economic life. He was one of the most influential people in my life and still I feel his protection and support for me and our family. He was one of the most wonderful people I ever knew and his strength in the face of severe illness was unbelievable and miraculous. I am most passionate about keeping unity with my childen and my family. I have always been very family minded and since my husband. I am also passionate about keeping my social contacts with my old friends and making new friends in the community among the widows and widowers. I am also passionate about my future work with the veteran families and am anxious to finish my thesis. I enjoy walking and playing the classical piano. I have had lessons for about 8 years and even though I don't have a teacher now, I do practice regularly. I enjoy swimming and daily exercise. I also enjoy gourmet cooking, theatre, the San Francisco Symphony, the Cal Bears football and basketball games. And of course travelling of which I have done a lot and camping in an RV. I enjoy visiting family and friends on the East Coast also as my daughter and grandkids are there and my brother and some very close friends.

I am a native Californian who grew up, was educated, and worked in East Bay. I would say that my life has been exciting and privileged, and I am both proud and humble of my personal and professional accomplishments. In addition to actively participating in church, and professional and social organizations, I enjoy entertaining friends, music, dancing, Bocci, gardening, and entering my prized creations at the county fair. I also enjoy travel and have visited many countries in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. I am looking forward to continuing my active life and enjoying new experiences with an equally energetic companion.

  • Maria Regina, 61 from Newark, CA
    61, Newark, CA
I am a cradle Catholic renewed in the Charismatic Movement, and currently serving the Lord through the Handmaids of the Lord ministry. With 4 grown children, I would like to develop new friendships and am open to a long term relationship. Although God is the center of my existence, I believe He created man and woman for procreation and companionship. Being past the stage of bearing children, I think there is still so much in life to be experienced and explored. I would love to share this with a special someone.

I love to travel to different places, learning cultures of other countries, meeting people and tasting new cuisines. My family and kids are important to me and I enjoy spending quality time with them. In my spare time, I like to hike or take a walk in a nice park, go out and have a nice meal and movie with friends or have my friends over for a nice meal.
