God has blessed my life in many ways and I am content. Yet, I can't help but think about sharing the next chapter with a partner. Yes, the career has been exciting so far and I'm not finished yet. There's still much to do. I also love--make that need--to work out most days a week by riding the bike, stretching and lifting weights, swimming is great, too, spa time is bliss time. It seems that sore hip needed more than stretching exercises every day. It needed replacement surgery in January 2012 which did not hold me up from the annual hiking trip to Canmore last July. Saturday at the Italian Centre is fun; reading is oxygen and I love a good movie; a great rocking concert and music soothes my soul; time with friends and family is something to cherish. Bring on a good poker game to tease my competitive spirit. I have also spent much time networking, attending civic events. That's been OK but a car holiday in the country brings inner peace--just like church, and I go every week; love singing along with the hymns pretending I can hold a tune. I also like domestic life, children (do not have any but I do love them). I have dated through online sites and other, yet, more and more, I want to meet a man with an active Catholic faith. And who shares a romantic chemistry with me. Hope I'm not being too optimistic at this age. Books at my bedside: Steve Job, The Alchemist. Tons of magazines.

I am a gentle, curious, adventurous and caring person. I can enjoy the peace and quiet of the country side and also the hustle and bustle of the city. I like to take long walks & enjoy nature. I am attracted to a man that is funny, kind and spontaneous. Let's connect as friends and see where it goes. If you are that person, I'll like to hear from you.

Hi, I'm semi-retired now wishing to meet a man who practices our faith, who is fun to be with, kind, honest, contented with his life for the most part, who lives a fairly healthy life-style and who likes a bit of adventure. I love boating (though I don't have a boat) and having lived on the west coast for most of my life, love it here.

I am passionate about my life in general; my 2 adult children, my family, friends, my faith and my profession. Having been on my own for quite a few years I am looking forward to entering the world of dating and hopefully meeting a man with common interests and purpose driven. The opportunity to meet someone who shares my faith - would be excellent and I am looking forward to that as well. My parents and one of my Grandmothers had the greatest influence on my life from a very young age. My folks - were best friends and I could not have HOPED for better parents. They were 110% dedicated to each other as well as to all 4 children. My Grandma - was the hardest working and happiest person I ever met and she taught me so very much. I began singing & playing guitar (professionally) at a young age (12) - that experience began at a folk mass when I was 11 - and took me out to entertaining in restaurants, hotels, etc. For many years. Still today - I continue to lead/play as music director at my parish for the 7:30pm Sunday Guitar Mass. I enjoy music (playing/singing), walking, gardening, travel and taking in spectator sports in my leisure time.

When I started working on my social work degree in my forties, it felt like such a good fit and though the work has been challenging I have had a passion for it . I must admit I've become a bit more cynical about systems (apparently social work years are like dog years, 1 = 7). Family is very important to me, we make time for each other, share each others joys and challenges, support one another while respecting independence. Mass has become more important to me over the years. Praying, asking God questions and trying to listen to his plans for me, - all important aspects of my daily life. I think my husband was very influential in my life. He encouraged me to pursue a career when I didn't believe I had the parts to do it. My four children, who stretched me to the limit, showed me how to think beyond myself, taught me patience, endurance and stretched my heart giving me capacity for greater love. Leisure time? I've had some of the best times in my life snorkelling in warm waters, I enjoy traveling, walking my dogs in beautiful surroundings, I love working with my hands in my spare time, sewing, quilting, paper crafts, working on improving my home, gardening, I'm an avid reader. I enjoy activities with friends and family, walks, movies, dining in or trying a different restaurant now and again. I look forward to planning vacations, for myself, family, foster parents, co-workers - that is fun. I'm a bit of an expert on Disney Parks and Cruises and must confess I have a soft spot in my heart for The Mouse.
