I'm a proud Mom of two wonderful young men and an active, outdoors loving professional woman. I enjoy all aspects of my life including my family, my friends, and the career that recently brought me to Colorado. When I lost my husband several years ago I placed my priority on raising my two sons and making a solid home life for them. Now that they're on their own I'm ready to seek new friends, and perhaps meet that special man to share my enjoyment of the outdoors, good movies, and visiting new places. My interests include learning about different cultures; traveling to places I've never been before and meeting people who are different from me; reading about western history; visiting historical sites and museums; and outdoor activities including camping, hiking, snow skiing, snow shoeing, etc. I enjoy settling down in the evening with a glass of wine or an interesting beer, and a good book, a fun TV program, or a good movie. I have a very rewarding career that has offered me many interesting opportunities and experiences. I still enjoy it very much but am ready to gather even more enjoyment from other aspects of life, including spending more time with friends and building a meaningful relationship with the right man.

A Colorado native, I love being outside hiking, skiing and riding horses, but also enjoy a good glass of wine and a classy evening in the city. I'm an accountant by degree and entrepreneur by experience, and love to take chances and try new things.

I am passionate about my career of 14 years as an Animal Control Officer. I am able to devote my professional and personal life to helping animals in need. I love being outdoors and taking my dog for hikes. Luckily I live where hiking trails are easily accessible and plentiful. I place great value on my friends and family who mean the world to me.

I am always willing to try new things and go on crazy adventures. I need someone who has the endurance to keep chasing/challenging me (vice versa as well). Scenes I am drawn to: outdoors activities (skiing, hiking, (mtn) biking, fishing, camping, running, tag, etc.), cooking, city night life, street dances (dancing in general), traveling opportunities, unfamiliar places, unique restaurants, pubs, beaches, bakeries, movies, and parks.

Hi! I am passionate about my family my friends and my faith. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking in nature, dancing, beach vacations, a good novel, a corny movie. cooking a (healthy yet delicious) gourmet meal, dining at a cozy restaurant or a hole in the wall with good food and learning and trying out new things. I have many good friends that I've made in the last 35 years living in Colorado. My two grown sons are among my best friends. I avoid sweating the small stuff and try to find the humor in the most challenging of situations. Laughing out loud daily is a strong practice of mine. It's good for the body and soul! Stopping to smell the roses is also very important to me. It's about appreciating the simple things in life... watching a beautiful sunset, a good meal (people say I'm a gourmet cook and I really do enjoy cooking), a walk on the beach or a hike in the mountains, holding hands and cuddling, being together with the ones I love. My life is very full except for the partner to walk alongside me and enjoy these things. In my mind there's nothing quite like having . a best friend and romantic partner to share in each other's joys and an occasional sorrow. I'm as comfortable in my high heels as my hiking boots or dance shoes. People say I am kind, trustworthy and generous and a good friend to be counted on. What you see is what you get. I am not a game player but have been known to be a playful tease. My friends describe me as self-reliant, happy and together. Hoping to find my last best friend and soulmate.... As I do believe they exist. Loving new adventures, my bucket list includes the seven wonders of the world. Want to fly with me?

Single since 2008, a spunky, well-traveled, 53 year old professor with a 4th grade, Parochial-schooled daughter. Her daddy and I remain good friends. My favorite activities: I like college hoops, some football, and widget sports. I like hiking, fishing, anything outdoors, any sort of travel: USA, Europe, hiking, or a swanky restaurant. Good books, antiquing, visiting with friends. I like to paint, and resolve to do so more often. Did I mention college hoops? I believe with the faith of a child. I want a knight on a white horse whose mother taught him to open doors, ask a lady on a real date (and expect to pay for everything on said date), and appreciate the feminine qualities of nourishing, nurturing, homemaking, service, and lifting up her husband in his role as the head of the household. His father and wise and well-chosen male mentors must have taught him to respect others, have a firm handshake, that a promise is a man's word is a contract, and that life is not fair in man's opinion but it is in God's. I believe Oreos count as a vegetable. Many women say, "I don't need a man - I can do it myself." I say they are wrong, and a woman who wants to be in charge of a couple's relationship is out of step with reality. Maybe because of the women's lib movement in the 60's or because greed has warped our brains, but our society has justified belittling men and their rightful roles in this world. What a shame - as the pendulum of equality has swung too far. I don't need to be taken care of; I want to be. I wish with all my heart to be cared for by a wonderful man who believes it is his duty, as the head of the household, to be the primary provider and leader -- not because I am inadequate, but because he is adequate and I trust his judgment. In return I will take good care of him.

Hello! My name is Emily. I have a bit of a book obsession, constant wanderlust, and a Golden Retriever who often channels the Cowardly Lion. I'm originally from California, but have lived in Colorado most of my life and love it here. There's just something about the mountains and plains that just makes the soul sing. I have a Bachelor's degree in music and a Master's degree in library science, both of which are currently being put to use. I work at an academic library and cantor at my parish a couple times a month. My dream is to write a book and have it published (working on it), as well as live on some land one day where I can have some chickens, a couple goats, and explore (and hopefully cure) my ability to kill plants at 20 paces (I'm telling you, they hate me. You can practically hear the screams when I stop to browse the ones for sale at Trader Joes.) My family is an important part of my life, especially my three, younger siblings. We often spend time together, although not nearly as much as we'd like. One of the downsides of adulthood. I'm fortunate in that most of my immediate family lives around here, but try to go back to California at least once a year to visit my grandparents, aunts and uncles. And...I am drawing a blank about what else to say, so I think I'll leave it at that for now. If there's anything else you'd like to know, just tell me. Please feel free to say "hi!"
