Wishing sincere blessings to all :) I'm an older Mom of a son who I had late in life. He is the most important reason FOR my life - he has Asperger's Syndrome. And, truth be told, my son SAVED my life. We have lived in Delaware since June, after having lived in Baltimore for ten years - then we made a stop that we thought was going to be for the long haul - in Florida. Not to be - we truly disliked the experience and re-located back to the mid-Atlantic for my son's further education.
Ma here hosts a radio show that is gaining in popularity weekly - I feel so fortunate! I'm an early retiree and both young in spirit and and old soul (you CAN be both!). I am here as long as my beautiful boy needs me - in this area (he can walk to college). So, I cannot drop everything and travel to Paris. But I don't want the rest of my life to be gardening, either (which is the stereotype of retirees). I so enjoy intelligent, open, warm, funny and creative people who have serene view of fellow brothers and sisters.
From my answers in the profile, you can easily figure out that I have been away from the Church for a long time. I'm testing the waters in returning....and I would love to find a like-minded or fully entrenched Catholic man who isn't obsessed with the superficial side of Catholicism as much as he is focused on the joy that Jesus can bring. I've spent a LOT of time in other Churches - those that have embraced same sex couples and women on the pulpit. If I COULD, I'd love to be one of the first married female priests. Doesn't matter if I'm 80 when it happens!
Current inspirations are - no brainer here - Pope Francis. He is why I am typing NOW. I absolutely love our President, Joe Biden (who I hope runs for the Presidency), Princess Diana, St. Francis, and ANYONE who displays courage when it isn't cool to advocate love for those who are "unlovable." Love, respect, civility, harmony, and the ability to be generous - to a fault. That's my ideal world until the next ideal world in Heaven.
It's wonderful to have dinner with someone that has a "connection" to you. My hometown is Philly and I'm so proud of that fact - Philadelphia culture is always a plus to discuss! I'm a Temple University girl with a Theater background - so I love movies primarily. And walks to discover the cooler neighborhoods in the city. Pick your city :-D
Chemistry is crucial. That said, let's see where the road goes....I truly wish you well!
