I'm easy-going, very active, and enjoy learning and trying new things. I'm fairly intellectual and love reading - fiction, non-fiction, biographies, the news, etc. - and discussions about current events. I'm introverted and somewhat reserved, but I open up around people I am comfortable with. I tend to have a small-ish group of close friends, many of whom I've lived, worked, and/or traveled with. I have a sarcastic sense of humor, which often catches people off guard at first (they don't expect it from the nice, quiet girl!). I love working out - rarely a day goes by in which I'm not running, swimming, biking, or hitting the gym. I've run everything from 5ks to marathons and prefer longer distances - 10-milers and half-marathons are my favorite race distances. I've recently started doing triathlons and really enjoy them (see first three activities in my workout list!). I'm very outdoorsy and always up for a new adventure, whether its running a new trail, kayaking on a river, spending a day at the beach, or a few nights backpacking and sleeping in a tent. I find nature invigorating and calming (is that a paradox?), and always feel refreshed and more alive after spending time in the great outdoors. I love traveling, seeing new places and experiencing different cultures. I've learned a lot about the ways things work in other places, different views of life and the world, and my own sub-conscious assumptions through living and travelling abroad. I work in international development and enjoy the field. I hope that I'm contributing to improving lives and making the world a better place, though certainly question much about the way development is done. My interest in world affairs is one of the things that brought me to DC, and a big part of why I enjoy living here. I try to take advantage of the diverse cultural events, festivals, restaurants, and museums that the city has to offer.

I love to explore and I think of life as an adventure. I love to laugh, and I have a tendency to laugh at my own corny jokes harder than I should. I like to read. I'm always looking for book suggestions! I love Notre Dame, and pretty much everything associated with ND, especially college football! (Although that love was tested this past season...) I love making it back to watch the Irish (hopefully) dominate whoever theyre playing. I enjoy Midwestern kindness, but do not envy those winters. I love helping people. I used to be a teacher, and am still looking for a good way to give back to the community.

I just finished RCIA and am happy not to have been married prior to this but I hope that I have finally found my church home. I am really enjoying classes very much and hope to meet a lot of great people in the church. I have been trained as a lawyer and have prestigious degrees but it doesn't seem like the typical path is what God has in store for me now - so I'm hoping to find out soon :) - whether that is finding the right person and having a family or something completely different, vocation-wise. Other than that, I really enjoy things like traveling to see my favorite things, whether church-related, food and exercise-related, or something artistic or cultural. NYC or even London is an aspirational home, but DC is fine too. I would really like to visit the Holy Land, Italy generally and Greece but have not before as I was concerned about my safety.

I'm a former Peace Corps volunteer turned Healthcare analyst. I've been back in the states for nearly a year now and I'm still trying to adjust to cold weather. 2 years in West Africa will do that to you. Personality wise, I'm an ISTJ. Pretty analytical. Introverted. Realistic. I'm also very service-oriented. My family has a long history of civil and military service, and I think it's important to continue that trend. I'm really happy to have a job I love that let's me use my skills to help people live healthier lives, albeit indirectly. As for my passions, I absolutely love martial arts. I practice Taekwondo at least three times a week, and often more than that. I also like to cook and find myself addicted to the Food Network. I tend to pick up random hobbies as things interest me. In my leisure time, when I'm not in my studio, I like to read and watch netflix. I love to go to the movies. I don't know what it is about it, but I love it.

Hello! My name is Mary and I'm 27 and living in the beautiful city of Washington, D.C.! I recently bought my first home and completed my M.Ed! I'm most passionate about being a first grade teacher in D.C. I teach in one of the most impoverished areas of the city and I feel like every day I'm on some type of mission. I have 3 brothers and 2 parents whom I love very much and support me in every step of my life. Many people have influenced me along the way and I continue to learn and live by all those I meet in life. In my free time I enjoy spinning or wandering in D.C. trying new restaurants, cafes, and bars.

I truly enjoy my life and I'm looking for a man who also has a pleasant disposition and a positive outlook on life. I'd describe myself as having traditional values with a progressive outlook, and an easy-going nature. I'm a Midwesterner, and relocated to DC almost three years ago. My hobbies and interests vary, but I'm open to trying new experiences. Living in DC gives me wonderful opportunities to do many of the things I love, such as going to museums and galleries, concerts (preferably smaller, intimate venues), embassy tours, restaurants and lounges, sporting events (although I'll always be a fan of the Chiefs and the Royals!), shopping and spending time with distant family members with whom I've become acquainted since I relocated. It would be great to find someone to share these things with, and who would share his life with me. Equally important is someone who has the time to cultivate a relationship. Everybody's busy nowadays, me included, but I've always believed that we make time for the things we really want to do.

I am a recent convert to the Catholic Church, coming from a Pentecostal background. I was raised with a deep love of the Lord, of Scripture and of serving the poor as my parents were missionaries in Africa, where I grew up. I returned to the US and ended up going to medical school and residency as I had a heart to serve others. Gradually, I found myself drawn to the Church and was received in as an Eastern Catholic. I do not currently live in DC (I live in Kansas, at the moment, for work), but am hoping to move to DC in the next year to study bioethics and theology while I work-part time, unless God has other plans for me. I have a deep passion for life, particularly with travel and exploring old churches and new places around the world, with more to come hopefully! I love theology and discussing the intersection of faith and culture but also enjoy just simply being outdoors and with friends. I'm somewhat ambitious but not driven; I enjoy relaxing and just having fun. I'll try pretty much anything new once and I like unexpected adventures especially those that I don't plan. I love all sorts of music, from Gregorian chant to classical to country and radio jams. Finally, I seem to have an amazing ability to kill houseplants, even succulents, without really even trying. Any tips on how to gain a green thumb would be appreciated! :-)

"Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me." The Office I'm lucky to have an awesome job, loving family and friends, and enough ambition and adventure to motivate me to pursue everything I want to do. I'm excited to meet someone who feels the same way about life but who also challenges me to be the best person I can be. I love making people laugh, reading, writing and keeping up with my favorite shows. I love to travel and try to spend most of my summers exploring a new place.

I recently moved from San Francisco to Washington because I wanted a job that had more to do with politics. For the past six months, I've been in a rotational program at NBC News getting an up-close look at TV production during an election. I have a small group of close friends who mean the world to me. Laughter keeps me sane, and my laugh is, well, hearty. I love anything and anyone who can draw it out of me. My mom says I would attend the opening of a shoebox, by which she means I like to get out and do new things. Hiking and playing tennis are my favorite activities. And, although I have not traveled as much in the past few years, it is really important to me that you have a passion for it too. My favorite trips so far have been to Italy and to Austria.
