I like to read, write, and think. I want to become a truly loving person and learn to trust God completely. I was forever changed by living in Japan for six years and I'm still contemplating the mystery of the humility and gratitude of the Japanese.

FYI - this whole profile is a work in progress, so you never know what new thing I am going to write.. oh boy! Also I kind of don't want to answer some of the profile questions... honestly, aren't we suppose to do a little work to know more information. I can't put all my eggs in the basket! You're either giggling to yourself (win) or haven't even gotten to the end of this paragraph (failed at 1st impression). A bit skeptical of online dating, but let's try it anyway. I always try to share the love God has for me with others. Most of my friends would say I am kind, lovable, compassionate, genuine, simple, empathetic and joyful. I love myself as whole and I know I have so much to offer not only to my friends, family or a stranger, but also to my future partner. I try to make myself better spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally. Of course, I have flaws. I don't like to be poked, I hate silverware scratching a plate/bowl, I have a loud laugh (if you don't think it's loud.... you're not funny) Hahha... I make myself laugh too. I have an extremely high tolerance level and I rarely get angry, but it does happen and most people are surprised. I tend to be shy at first, so you should probably make the first move. Once, I am comfortable around you or others I wear my heart on my sleeve. I am an extroverted introvert. I am passionate about social justice issues and helping my fellow being. I work for a nonprofit and enjoy my job and the mission of our work. Curious? Message me to find out more.

Rare Liberal Catholic seeking like-minded individual. Or someone with moderate tendencies. I'm actually more of a moderate than a hardcore liberal. As long as you're tolerant and have an open mind, political leanings might not be that big of a deal, to be honest. I think any rational person will look at what's going on right now in our country and hate it. As long as you're on that side of the fence, I don't really care if you're a Democrat or a Republican. If I could describe myself in three words, I think it would be responsible, practical, and independent. If I get a fourth, I'd add honest too. I've been told by others that I'm also brave and caring. Not very flashy, I realize. But I can certainly have fun, as well. I'm a borderline introvert/extrovert. I like to have time to myself to unwind at the end of the day/week, but I like to get together with people too. Go to the zoo or for walks around the city. Have a game night. Go to the movies. I love to travel! I've been all over the world, and there are so many more places I want to see and experience. I also enjoy martial arts. I practice Taekwondo at least three times a week, and often more than that. As for other interests, I tend to pick up random hobbies as they interest me. Currently, that random hobby is hiking/backpacking. I did a bit when I was in high school, but recently I've been wanting to get back into it. I think it would be nice to get out of the city and find some peace and quiet. Career-wise, I'm a former Peace Corps volunteer turned Healthcare analyst. I've been back in the states for a year and a half now. I think it's really important to do something that gives back to your community and country. I'm really happy to have a job I love that let's me use my skills to help people live healthier lives.

I try to live life to the fullest and strive to become a better person each day. Living life in a deep and spiritual way is very important to me, as is the happiness of others. I work in the field of International Development and have lived abroad extensively (in Europe and Africa). I am very passionate about the work that I do for the poor and vulnerable. Family and friends are exremely important to me. I enjoy having great conversations, spending time outdoors, ballroom dancing, art, cultural events and museums, good books and movies, and above all, travel. I am always up for learning and trying out new things.

I'm an ENFJ, outgoing, and fun. Born and raised in Texas, I make friends with strangers quickly. I like to laugh, am constantly cracking jokes, and I'm always up for new adventures. I also like spending quality one-on-one time with those I care about. Horror movies freak me out, and TV shows like "This Is Us" and "Parenthood" reduce me to a puddle of tears. I enjoy exploring DC's museums and outdoor scenes but also equally enjoy staying in reading a good novel or binge-watching Netflix. I'm definitely a foodie: I love trying new/unusual foods from all different parts of the world. and I also have fun experimenting with new recipes and hosting dinner parties or planning movie nights (like making dumplings while watching old Bruce Lee films). Coming from a family of immigration lawyers, I've been blessed to travel around the world and learn about so many different and wonderful cultures. I've spent summers abroad in Europe and China (for school, work, and family), and have also had the great fortune of traveling a lot as an adult. See below for my complete travel log! I love volunteering and organizing events for my young adult group to serve the homeless, the local pregnancy center, food banks, senior citizen homes, and community homes for adults living with mental disabilities (L'Arche). I've also been studying Byzantine iconography for the past couple of years.

I am a San Francisco native, raised in a loving Catholic family with my mom and dad, and three other sisters. I attended the University of Dallas for college and majored in art history. I spent a couple of years in Bolivia serving as a Salesian Lay Missionary and came back to Washington DC to get a masters degree in Theology and bioethics. I am now a director of religious education in Northwest DC. I like traveling, doing fun outdoor activities, and helping others. I love creating art and helping with design projects. I enjoy making people laugh and spend a lot of time with my wonderful friends and family! :D ***I check Catholic Match only 1x a week, in order to focus on and trust Our Lord - so if you send me a message, I won't respond immediately - just FYI! :)

I am originally from the DC area and aside from four years in Massachusetts, I've lived here my whole life. I live in Logan Circle, but you can frequently find me hanging out in Shaw/Bloomingdale. I also really enjoy any time I can get away from the city and visit quieter areas. I love to go hiking and allow my senses to be filled with the gentle sounds of the forest. When I'm not hiking or going for long walks, I enjoy flipping through The New Yorker for the cartoons and poetry. At 32, I still purposely step on crunchy leaves. I guess I could be considered an outgoing introvert as I'm an introvert who has short bursts of extrovert energy. Honest, loyal, silly and goofy could also be used to describe me-- especially goofy after a touch too much of red wine and being surrounded by my close friends. I also enjoy movies and game nights with friends.
