I've been told I'm the only midwife ever at my hospital to do patient care in a pair of heels. I guess I don't fit the stereotype! I love my work and I'm passionate about it, even if it means catching that squirmy little one at 3 in the morning, the bewitching hour for babies. Patients ask for me because they know I am the one who will stay up all night and work with them, breathing through contraction after contraction until it's over. Luckily, when I leave work, I truly leave it behind and might be found dancing salsa or doing yoga, things my body needs to be free and healthy. I've even challenged myself to the flag football field-- ok, great runner, not the best passer. I like to try new recipes with some healthy food like Kale, but also honor an occasional craving for Five Guys'! The only time I miss Mass on Sunday at St. Augustine in DC is when I'm in Ohio visiting family, who are very dear to me. I too would like to create my own close family one day. I read anything from the Economist to Oprah magazine! I have a love/hate relationship with danger and adventure -- I've rappelled down waterfalls in Venezuela, but had some bloody knuckles afterwards! I've also lived in Africa and the biggest thrill there was not the travel, but more getting to really know friends there and spend time with them and their families on the weekends. The man I'm looking for would be able to go out for a picnic, but make a joke if it rained and all the food got ruined. He would know he could count on me to be there for him to help him in his work, even the mundane things. He would be interested in growing side by side in faith and would be willing to spend time developing a healthy relationship. We would be a great team. He wants to grow as a person and would consider having children together. He would be open to taking a dance class with me or going to try yoga (not as easy as it looks!) He is confident that he is good inside himself and he is ready for the real deal.

I'm passionate about my family, God, my dog Chloe, and my friends. I love traveling, music, dancing, singing, movies, theater, Disney, psychology, photography, food and cooking, reading, adventures, and exploring! I tend to overuse exclamation marks (because I get so excited!) and truly love to serve and care for others. I have a very sensitive old soul and so much compassion for those around me, including complete strangers sometimes (weird, right?!). I'm one of those people that loves to explore and have some new adventure, but also am totally comfortable with just relaxing and chilling at home with my dog/friends/family. My goals are to learn more about gardening (love plants but still figuring out quite how to keep them alive and healthy haha!), cars, photography, brush up on more of my Spanish, computers, and learn piano. I just recently got out of a 9-month relationship, so I'm still adjusting to things being different and healing. We just weren't right for each other or God's plan for each other, and it just took us awhile to figure it out. I just moved to the DC area April and am excited for the new adventure! Still not sure what I think about this whole online dating thing but I'm trying to be open-minded and follow God's guidance.

I like to leave anonymous surprises, offer a kind word, and smile at strangers. I don't like to line up to talk to the life of the party, I'd rather have personal conversations. In a quiet group I can step in and take charge, but I won't compete for that role. I grew up reading, and sometimes my words put people off. I love the expressive power of my native tongue. I have spent a lot of my life struggling to convey my ideas in foreign languages. Sometimes I enjoy the challenge, sometimes it tires me out. I was raised to set a table properly and mind my manners, but I can also eat curry with my fingers, slurp ramen, and accept that ribs and crab are just going to be a mess. I like to keep my life neatly sorted and organized; I have this delicious peaceful feeling stepping into the Container Store. Even so, I have also learned that I would miss out on too much fun if I did not have a generously sized box in my life labelled "chaos." I try to speak truth with love, but I can't always read how different people receive information best, so I try to hold back with strangers. That is safer and more polite, but until you let me know how I can speak honestly with you, we will stay strangers. I tend to jump into the middle of a conversation and start with business without making time for the three cups of tea. That may be why we are on third-date talk in an introductory profile.

I'm an ENFJ, outgoing, and fun. Born and raised in Texas, I make friends with strangers quickly. I like to laugh, am constantly cracking jokes, and I'm always up for new adventures. I also like spending quality one-on-one time with those I care about. Horror movies freak me out, and TV shows like "This Is Us" and "Parenthood" reduce me to a puddle of tears. I enjoy exploring DC's museums and outdoor scenes but also equally enjoy staying in reading a good novel or binge-watching Netflix. I'm definitely a foodie: I love trying new/unusual foods from all different parts of the world. and I also have fun experimenting with new recipes and hosting dinner parties or planning movie nights (like making dumplings while watching old Bruce Lee films). Coming from a family of immigration lawyers, I've been blessed to travel around the world and learn about so many different and wonderful cultures. I've spent summers abroad in Europe and China (for school, work, and family), and have also had the great fortune of traveling a lot as an adult. See below for my complete travel log! I love volunteering and organizing events for my young adult group to serve the homeless, the local pregnancy center, food banks, senior citizen homes, and community homes for adults living with mental disabilities (L'Arche). I've also been studying Byzantine iconography for the past couple of years.

I am a San Francisco native, raised in a loving Catholic family with my mom and dad, and three other sisters. I attended the University of Dallas for college and majored in art history. I spent a couple of years in Bolivia serving as a Salesian Lay Missionary and came back to Washington DC to get a masters degree in Theology and bioethics. I am now a director of religious education in Northwest DC. I like traveling, doing fun outdoor activities, and helping others. I love creating art and helping with design projects. I enjoy making people laugh and spend a lot of time with my wonderful friends and family! :D ***I check Catholic Match only 1x a week, in order to focus on and trust Our Lord - so if you send me a message, I won't respond immediately - just FYI! :)

Hello. I'm a kind, independent, and fun-loving woman seeking to meet a man of quality. I have many interests - including live jazz, baseball games, dogs, creative writing - and I am actively involved in my community. I believe it's important to do our bit to make the world a better place while we're here. I love long, lingering conversations over coffee or cocktails, making each other laugh, and spending meaningful time with someone special. If any of this sounds appealing, please stop by and say hello. **Please don't communicate with an Emoticon. I won't respond. I prefer a conversation to cartoons.
