I was born into a happy family with great parents, two brothers who are also my best friends, and a fun dog. Our parents teached us to swim against the stream and early on we became advocats of our faith. Today, I consider myself a convinced catholic by head and heart. I try to live up to God`s commandments, to love him and the people around me and the world even more from day to day. Since my visit to the world`s biggest pilgrimage church in Mexico, I have a deep adoration for Our Lady of Guadalupe. I keep a loving memory of Pope John Paul II and I was very blessed to be at the right spot at the right time just when Pope Benedict visited Munich and stopped to shake hands with the people standing in front of the Dome. I am a scientist, I do hold a Phd, and I am currently working for the government. I am still single and "available" because I simply did not meet the right person I want to be with for the rest of my life. I made the mistake of putting my education on a higher ranking position on my priority list than searching for a soul mate. I also never really searched for my future husband but always believed that it would just "happen" when the time is right. For sports I like hiking, swimming, skiing, sailing, and biking. I enjoy driving my bike to work and going with roller blades. I like to travel, I enjoy the outdoors, I love animals, especially dogs. There is a bit of an adventurer in me. I am able to fix a flat bike tire, to change the wheels of my car, and to lit a fire at the campground. I enjoy fixing things, probably because I am working with the computer all day long, and then you find me in places like Home Depot. I also love music (mostly classical) and play the violin and the piano.

I would describe myself as a cheerful, caring and friendly woman. I enjoy the company of friends, but I can also revel in solitude, although not for too long... I take comfort and pleasure in little things and have a positive outlook on life, knowing that God is always with me. Over the years, I have built my faith bit by bit and I find myself turning to the Lord for even small things. I believe that family is the foundational source of God's love and compassion. I enjoy traveling and learning about new places, people and cultures. At present I work and live in a country that is different from my own.

I love children, exercise, eating healthy, movies, music, traveling and walking-I enjoy life, but above all, I love my faith and I'm very proud to identify as a practicing Roman Catholic. I consider myself extremely lucky in life. I was blessed by two loving and smart parents, raised with 5 siblings, in a faith-filled environment--which I hope to hand down to my daughter. I owe a great deal of my appreciation for my faith to my alma mater, Christendom College in Virginia. The years I spent there informed my faith so that I understand the Church's role in the world, its sometimes unpopular stand on morality and doctrinal issues. I have been a teacher for most of my professional life. While I have written some instructional books for high school level kids, the best part of my career is when I can walk into a college classroom. I love teaching literature to young adults, especially ancient and early modern classics. I haven't finished my dissertation (yet), but for what I have accomplished, I feel extremely fortunate and am looking with enthusiasm to see what my next challenge will be.

Hello! I would describe myself as a rather calm and thoughtful person that enjoys all kinds of different things. I love God above all. He is the life in me, without him I would be nothing. I also love making and listening to music, going to concerts and eating out in fine restaurants. I also like languages (I speak four languages fluently). I like reading books, playing with children, teaching them, praying in churches, travelling and meeting new people. Generally I try to be a simple, humble, beautiful, loving and patient woman, one that uses her lips for truth, her voice for kindness, her ears for compassion, her hands for charity and her heart for love. I try to encounter God in everything and everyone around me, even if they are atheist, which is quite normal around here.
  • Martha, 36 from Berlin, DE
    36, Berlin, DE
Hi there, what to say about yourself in 150 to 2500 characters? Well, I like people with a great sense of humor, positive attitude, curious mind, and a caring heart. I like the simple things in life, spending time outdoors, enjoying nature, listening to music - and a full fridge. A perfect day starts by waking up next to your loved one, enjoying a big breakfast together, reading the newspaper, strolling to town with no plan in mind, but ending up doing fantastic things, whether it is visiting the newest exhibition in the art gallery, watching a soccer game in the pub, exploring the streets and its people through the lens of a photo camera, bumping into friends and doing a spontaneous picnic ... Apart from music, traveling, and reading, writing is one of my big passions. If I am not editing books, practicing yoga, swimming in the lake or trying out new recipes and baking cheese cake for friends and my big Croatian family, I am heading the communications and marketing department of a charitable foundation which invests in social enterprises all over the world.

  • Anne, 54 from Bremerhaven, DE
    54, Bremerhaven, DE
I'm a gregarious Yorkshire Lass who teaches English, French & Spanish in the Oberstufe. I know I am blessed because I look forward to going to work every day. My students are a joy to be with and keep me young at heart. I guess I don't scare easily because I relocated abroad on my own 6 years ago, but I don't think the adventure is over yet. God brought me to Germany for a reason and I am happy to place my future entirely in His Hands. Since coming here my Faith has become my bedrock, especially since discovering the Traditional Mass, which I attend as often as possible in Hamburg. I'm a typical Englishwoman, I love my garden, especially my roses. I also enjoy cinema and music, history, art and travel.

Hi there! I moved recently to Berlin but I am originally from Spain. My German is solala but I hope it will get better! What I am most passionate about is my family and my friends.
