60, Crystal Lake, ILI was born and raised in a traditional Catholic home. I attended both Catholic elementary and high school. I have a very strong faith and attend Mass weekly and worship in the adoration chapel at least once a week. I am a college professor of communications and love what I do. I have taught higher education for the past 25 years. My goal in life is to make a difference. I believe that touching one person's life can make a difference. I like to believe that I do as a teacher. I love the outdoors and nature. I like to stay active and physically fit. I enjoy walking in the mornings and sometimes seeing the sun come up or taking a stroll and watching the sun set; bicycling along the lake shore or a bicycle path I would consider myself more of an extrovert than introvert, although I do like time alone to think and reflect. I am outgoing, friendly, honest, and genuinely love life. I am a hopeless romantic who still believes that true love exists and that one can find a soulmate. Family is very important to me. I enjoy intelligent conversations, spending time with friends, meeting new people, concerts, movies, and a good book. I am very organized and tend to plan things, but I am learning to be more spontaneous. One of my dreams is to travel and see new places. I would like to take a trip to Rome and see the Vatican and Assisi. I also want to take a ride in a gondola. Australia and Greece also introque me.
62, Rockford, ILRetired but working Part-time w/ second career. I guess, this is to stay active and productive. On weekends, I am proud to spend time w/ family or friends or participate in church activities. Life is too short, I have seen love ones taken away unexpectedly so my goal is to make the remaining years of my life meaningful and let people in my life know how I care. If by God's will that I find a new partner, that will be perfect. I'll try to give love a second chance. I leave it to God to pick the right person for me. For the meantime, I will enjoy things that I want to do: visit places that I have not been: Spain, France, Thailand, but do some camping trips around Grand Canyon. Around here, enjoy kayaking, bird-watching, before winter comes. Do some yoga, dancing lessons. These are just a few of my bucket list. My personal motivation is to be active and age gracefully.
62, Crystal Lake, ILGenuine, fun loving, and spiritual. I love the outdoors for hiking, biking, boating, motorcycing, gardening, playing in the snow, or just hanging out! Getting together with family and or friends is very imortant to me, but I also love the intimate conversations I have with those that are close to me. I have much to be thankful for, and much to look forward to! I try to live life to the fullest and give to those around me. I would like to share my world with someone, be a special part of his world, and create a new life for our future together.
79, Rockford, ILI am finally regaining passion for life after being widowed in 2009. I have raised two great young adults. I am educated, have a great sense of humor, like water sports, actually bought a 16 ft outboard last year, own a car, home and dog, and have many life experiences to share and enjoy.
76, Dekalb, ILMy 2 children & 3 grandsons are the most important to me at this point. My husband was but unfortunality he died nine years ago. I am a retired RN that lives and owns a farm that has been in my family for over 100 years. Next to my family I'm a football "nut". I have not missed a NIU home football game for probably the last 30 years! Have also been to several away games. At this point I would be interested in someone who enjoys football, going out to dinner, movies etc. I have adjusted to my present live situation but would enjoy company, not necessarily a permanent relationship. My Catholic Faith is very inportant to me.
65, Gilberts, ILHello! I am a very laid back, energetic, and fun senior! I have two amazing grown sons and two ADORABLE (what else??) grandsons, 3 and 1. After raising my sons as my number one priority after my divorce, I have been looking for my "prince charming", but have not yet found the one who gives me the "zing"!
63, Rockford, ILLooking to meet someone who has a strong commitment to their faith and enjoys life. I want to travel more -- far and near. My main areas of interest are faith, health, history, current events, and nature. I like reading, going to the gym, swimming, being with friends, movies, museums, and the theater. I am a social person, but need quiet introspective time, too, in my daily life. Other interests include dancing, cooking, gardening, and home projects. I'm big on organization, neatness, and cleanliness in every area of my life.
60, Sandwich, ILI am passionate mostly about my faith, family and friends, and look forward to spending time with each. The most influential people in my life have been my mother, my aunt, and my grandfather. In my leisure time I like to work in the yard or around the house, read, watch a good movie, go out to dinner, spend time in nature.
71, Belvidere, ILHi, Thanks for stopping and reading this. I am looking for a friend first, someone to laugh with, talk with and maybe spend the rest of my life with. I enjoy my family and friends, my animals(dog and cat) music, cooking, movies, museums, sports, and always open to new experiences. I hope you have a great day.
71, Elgin, ILI am an active senior who enjoys dancing, fishing, traveling, playing cards, working in the garden and socializing with others. I have three children and three grandchildren in the U.S., and two stepdaughters, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren living in Denmark. I am a devout Roman Catholic. I have been widowed since 2012. I've been fortunate to have been blessed with good health and an interesting life, which included 16 years in Denmark and lots of international travel. Since my return to the U.S., I have focused much of my attention on taking care of my daughter and my sister, fixing up my house, and making new friends, most of them through my church. Now that my daughter has married and my sister has passed away, I can pay more attention to my other children and grandchildren, as well as my own needs. One of the things that is missing is an intimate relationship with a person who would become my best friend, love me with his whole heart, and want to grow old with me. That's a pretty tall order, and it could very well take some time. In the meantime, I do my best to lead a HEALTHY life (I try to exercise regularly and watch what I eat), a HAPPY life (I am an optimistic person who tries to find joy all around me), and a HOLY life that involves helping others, loving God and my neighbor, and trying to become the best version of myself. And guess what! God willing, I'll be a grandmother again in a couple of years. How great is that! This time I won't half to fly across the Atlantic to babysit! I consider myself to be kind, honest and affectionate. .
67, St. Charles, ILLife is a wonderful gift! For me it's great because I'm healthy enough to walk several times a week, walk my Westie, Ellie, visit with friends who are unable to get out, ride my bike, and spend time with friends. I'm fortunate to live in an area where there are so many cultural opportunities such as plays, musicals, movies, and great shopping!! Life is great now because I have survived great loss and I'm able to smile again. I look forward to meeting someone who will enjoy the things that I do and introduce me to new things as well! I am from a family of 8 children and I am very close to my siblings and my mother. They have had a great influence on me. I constantly find myself referring to things that my parent have taught me. My father was the very best in my eyes! He was a WWII vet who served in the south Pacific. He was an honest man of few words and a calm demeanor. He developed dementia in his mid 80's and passed away a few years ago. Thank God that he recognized all of us until he died. I feel his influence daily!
71, Batavia, ILBoating and cruising are some of my favorite things to do. I attend the opera every season, and movies and plays are enjoyable also. My profession was in library work and computers. Technology mixed with books are one of my interests. Visiting my grandchildren and their parents are amongst my fun times. My grandson lives with me while he is in college. I am a starter. I started an interdenominational prayer group while teaching in the public schools as well as a group after retirement. I also organized and began a book club that meets bimonthly. I was an organizer and leader of a support group at my parish for victims of domestic violence. Gardening and dining with friends are also interests of mine. I have traveled to Africa, England, countries in Western Europe, excluding France, the Panama Canal and Mexico as well as many touristy sights in the USA. I'm planning a trip to Scotland in early summer and a Fall trip to New York. Physical activities were a passion of mine but now Im more of a spectator of sports, especially baseball.
