70, Collinsville, ILI am a content, happy person. There are always many challenges in life but it is how you handle them that makes life interesting. I love to have a good time and laugh. When I am not around, the group that I do the most with says a get together is just not the same. I love my family and grandchildren and do not get to see them often enough. I would love to have a good interaction with the family of any man I would meet and hope he would do the same. I am very honest, have a great sense of humor but can be serious also. I got my Master's several years ago and figure you are never too old to learn. I try to live according to the Motto that "Life is Short" and to make the most of each day. I have a deep sense of faith that has gotten me through some of life's trials. I have a good sense of adventure and love to do things spontaneously as well as planned activities.
66, Ohlman, ILI have an interest in pro-life work and am known in central Illinois for having many published letters to the editor on the subject of abortion.I also have written about various political subjects facing the public.I am the mother of 8 children and four of them graduated from college and the other four children all attended some years of college. The children were my life as I was a single parent for years.I live in a rural area and enjoy the fresh food the farmers bring to the farmers markets here. I pray daily and feel it is important to find someone who also loves Jesus deeply.
63, Springfield, ILI am passionate about people treating each other fairly. I am passionate about justice which is why, I suppose, I am a lawyer. I am passionate about life itself, and people. I look forward most to being with the people I love, who love me back - unconditionally. My Italian grandfather was the most influential person in my life. He was strong, spiritual, intelligent. He had a stroke when I was 5 and lived, paralyzed on the left side of his body, until he died when I was 18. On his deathbed, he told me I could be and do anything I put my heart and mind to. We had a special connection. He knew politics and government and history intuitively - and departed that gift to me. He was an early house-grandpa, being disabled and not able to work in the days prior to ADA (an ex-police officer and janitor and miner). I watched the Kennedy assassination with him. THe Jack Ruby shooting. He believed Nixon was a crook a decade before Watergate. He took me to mass on weekdays when I had choir duty and would standat the streetcorner waiting for me to get home from school when something important happened, like when Pope John died. He loved family. He loved his grandchildren. I was only one of six but to this day, I believe I was his favorite. My grandmother was protestant, so they weren't able to be married in the church. He was a good catholic nonetheless. And their experience, unfair as it was, defines my approach to the church: it is my church, and warms my spirit, but it is not always right. There are other ways of knowing God and seeing him everyday in people.
