Hi, I haven't been active on this site for a bit. I'm not a paying customer, and why I can't respond with something other than a little icon temporarily! I had been focused on my 2 children when they were younger & my job. I now have 3 funny, sweet grandchildren, it's time to begin focusing on my life again! Life is good, things often change but feel like a positive attitude keeps things in check. i've been blessed with good health & work at keeping it that way. Feels great to joke & laugh through life with friends, but even more fun in a relationship. I enjoy listening & sharing a few stories & would enjoy meeting for a cup of coffee or glass of wine sometime.

I enjoy life, my family, and friends. I love to take long walks and always stop to smell the roses. I like to exercise, travel, sightseeing, hiking, and cruises. Sitting on the beach watching the sunrise or sunset is the best!! I spend as much time as I can outside, I love being by the water or biking, and I enjoy various sports. I like to go out and have a good time but also love a night in with dinner and a movie. I've worked for the same company for over 40 years and financially I'm very comfortable. I'm going to be retiring soon and would like to be with someone to start this next chapter in my life.

The traits that would best describe me are devoted, honest, creative and fun-loving. I enjoy cooking, gardening, long walks, travel, concerts and wine-tasting. My faith is an important part of my life and I firmly believe that "absolutely nothing happens in God's world by mistake".

I look forward to enjoying a new relationship to see where that goes, with good conversation, baseball, dining out, cooking/bbq, dancing, boating, movies or enjoying the outdoors, even if it chatting on the deck/patio. I love to learn about a variety of things, and enjoy reading and inspirational material. For leisure, I to have fun, also like to explore new places, take one-tank trips to interesting towns-like a mini-vacation to the points of interest and dress like a tourist when I can't travel.

Hello! I am looking for someone who enjoys baseball, Italian food, theater and companionship. I work during the school year and have time off to do fun things like watch baseball games, go to museums, festivals, and travel. I am looking for someone who loves conversation over coffee, wine or what ever. I am a registered nurse and my nursing profession defines who I am. I am working on getting more active to get myself out more.

After 40 years being married and now single again, I'm learning new skills to meet and date men. I'm passionate about my art and travelling. My faith and family are very important to me. My father was the most influential in my life , seeing he raised me and brothers after my mom died . I am one of 8 children and we are very close knit family. When travelling I like to take in the scenery, architecture art and historical information. Learning about others and how they lived in the past and the present . I have been a Disney freak for many years. One might say Mickey and I have been dating. I find that the parks and fantasy to be invigorating.. I even created a couple of murals in my house to remind me of DWD. Leisure time can be reading a spiritual book, praying , sketching, watching a great movie , travelling or working in my garden.

I've been influenced by my parents and family and friends....mainly family. We are close knit in most holiday celebrations and we welcome yours. I've been a part time caregiver to relatives as needed by choice.....and with God's help. My son his wife and two granddaughters are very dear to me. I've traveled past 30 years and welcome it as my faith continues to grow.... I enjoy life, people, staying fit/eating healthy, all music, traveling, and sharing this with my partner. I believe in treating my equal with TLC. I enjoy cuddling in front of the fireplace, at a sunset moment, when walking, or just because. I wish all the best in their search.

It is sometimes hard to make a connection, and to start it may be hard to know what to say. I am asking a question that might open a conversation. Can you recommend a book I should read and let me know why. I have recently enjoyed Quiet - the Power of Introverts in a World that Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. I am at heart an introvert who has learned how to adapt in an extroverted world. The book describes me well and it helped me to understand relationships with extroverts and where the challenge is. I enjoy music, especially the blues, travel, being with my family when i can since they live on the east coast. I enjoy good conversations that discuss real issues. I can go to big parties, but not often and will be quiet till i feel comfortable, and posting on a dating site puts me way out of my comfort zone. I am logical and realistic and know I most likely pass by many single people every day and posting here may provide the opportunity to connect to someone. I work full time as an accounting manager and have been in accounting my whole career. I have one married daughter living in London who shared with me the first week of January I will be a grandmother in July (road trip to London!) and a son in NYC. I was married for 6 1/2 years and am currently widowed for 2 1/2 years, but to be transparent I was married in my early twenties and was divorced after 21 years of marriage. I am capable of managing things (I can take care of issues with my house or car no problem) but miss having someone special to connect to. My faith is central and I often participate in retreats and studies to grow my faith. I love to laugh and anyone who I spend time with needs a good sense of humor and a positive attitude.

I would like to meet someone that can share my faith. After that...I would like to find someone who is loving, caring & honest. I have been divorced for 10 years. I was in a relationship for about 5 years with someone not of my faith. I think it is easier to share all the great things life has to offer, with someone that has similar beliefs. Other than being Catholic, I enjoy just about everything that normal people enjoy. I like to travel, take a cruise or drive up to Wisconsin. Go to a fancy restaurant, or Portillo's is good. I am a jeans & t-shirt kind of girl. I can clean up nicely when required. I also love animals. I have always had a dog. My dog (golden retriever) had to be put down about 2 years ago. I would probably look to rescue a dog, sometime in the future. The most influential things that happened in my life were the death of my brother & later years my father. The most hurtful thing was my divorce. Infidelity can be an awful thing in marriage. But we pick ourselves up & see what's next in our lives! In closing, I would like to meet someone with similar beliefs to enjoy life's journey.

I'm passionate about being with my family - children and grandchildren. I enjoy traveling, reading, watching documentaries on Netflix, and playing Pickleball (a newly acquired skill). I love dogs, especially my little Yorkie. I am a retired Special Education teacher. Keeping in touch with friends is very important and fulfilling for me.
  • Cathy, 61 from Arlington Heights, IL

I am very passionate about my faith, and living my life in a way consistent with my faith. I am professional person, and do my best to give my best effort to my employer. That being said I do realize the need to not get too carried away with my work, and make time for practicing my faith, extended family and friends, especially my 9 year old grandson. When I am not at work, I keep busy with my involvement in church ministry and Toastmasters (an organization that fosters leadership and public speaking skills). I love listening to Relevant Radio, Father Simon is my favorite. For exercise, I like to take walks, or exercise to one for my favorite YouTube videos. I enjoy traveling. I have traveled to many places as part of my work, and for leisure have been blessed to go to Rome twice, Lourdes, Fatima and Divine Mercy. There are many other places I would love to explore, the Holy Land being one of them. I am looking for someone I can journey with on lifes path with, and being able to support each other in the goal of being with Our Lord in Heaven, by sharing common interests. I enjoy living in the Chicago area, as most of my family is in the Chicagoland area.
