I am an animal lover and my 2 Golden Retrievers, one of which I just rescued, are my faithful companions. For years, I trained and showed my dogs in AKC obedience competition, but recently gave that up due to the state of the economy. So my interaction with my dog now consists of long walks and lots of playtime. But I also enjoy sports, music, plays, movies, and I can be content just staying home, working on a project or watching a little TV. More importantly, I am a conservative catholic convert, married outside the church many moons ago for 1-1/2 years. I attend a traditional church when I can, but also attend the neighborhood church when time is short. I am basically happy with my life, but missing that certain someone. I gave up looking years ago, but with the magic of the internet, I thought I would give it one last try. Although I come from a very small family, we are very close. I do not have any children, but enjoy my 13 yr old nephew tremendously. I have a wide variety of friends who say that I am easy going, friendly, very thoughtful, caring, dependable, kind, compassionate, honest, loyal, and have a great sense of humor.

~*~Taking a break for a while--it's been great meeting friends here, and best of luck to you all in your search!~*~ I sing with my steering wheel, dance with the vacuum, and talk to my bird, but much prefer to do that with people! Right now, I am working with kids of all ages and their adults and striving to make a difference for them, while growing and improving myself until God clues me in to what He wants me to "do with my life". If this IS what He intends, then so be it...I really am passionate about my job and those I serve. Something "more" would be wonderful, but it really is all up to Him. I just try to do as St. Theresa says and "Work as though everything depends on you, pray as though everything depends on God". She didn't mention playing, but that is fun, too--anything and everything from board games and trivia nights to flying, traveling, traipsing about a forest preserve, going to lectures and conventions...I love a good adventure, and I also love hanging out with friends or even--gasp!--sitting alone with a cup that is steamy and a book that...isn't. I love to fill my time and experience as many new things as possible.

*I travel often, usually on a plane every week or so to visit family and friends :) "A woman's heart should be so hidden in God that he has to seek Him to find her." Max Lucado I feel blessed to have a life full of family & friends. I love what I do- I work hard and play hard. Laughter, happiness & joy are constants in my life. I've been on various pilgrimages (the Holylands, Avila, Spain and France) My faith journey has been quite the ride- learning, exploring and loving each step. I strive to live my life in a way that pleases God. I trust that God will guide me to the person He has planned for me :) I LOVE to travel and regularly visit Cali (both LA and the Bay) as well as Tampa, FL. I've been to 3 continents in last 3 yrs and am always looking to put another stamp in my passport. I would love to travel with someone special and explore the world together. Family is very important to me. I have a large extended family and we see each other fairly often. We've got a lot of love for each other. I need someone who is family oriented and can withstand the craziness of my relatives. We have a ton of fun and laugh a lot :)

I am or was becoming an archaeologist, specializing in Israel, Jordan, Syria, and did ten excavations in those lands, so the history, politics and cultures of that region, and the origins of our religion, will always draw me. Living there, including working in museums in Jerusalem, touching the stones the artifacts, some of which were not touched since the original owners had done so, all profoundly affected me and left me awestruck at the dense feeling of history in the very air. I also spent a year teaching archaeology, Hebrew and Old Testament in China for a year. But I was knocked from normal life and my career in the last six months of PhD work, by medical trouble, first a 13 year physical nerve disorder, and then, for these last five years, struggle with an autoimmune disorder that went horrendously undiagnosed until recently, and which I am still fighting to overcome or at least stabilize. These medical things have truly set me apart, isolated me from normal life and I am just now trying to determine how to become part of the world again, a little at a time. During the years of disability, initially not really able to move around much without pain (that now largely healed), I began to notice, then study, then care for little outside birds on my window sills. In time I became a bit of an expert on God's little angels around us, and birds remain very important in my life. I adopted some of the severely damaged birds that neighborhood people brought me over the years, that could not survive outside again. I'm devoted to them, and giving them as much care as possible so that they can live out their lives happily. I'm most definitely an animal lover and see each little being fighting so hard for its life; that too has taught me a lot about life, death, God and bravery in the face of pain and difficulty. I like to read, everything from science fiction to historical to horror to classics; love movies also of wide range; and even spend some time with computer games. If my career goals have been destroyed, I now retain the goal of somehow getting a home in a green place; I grew up in an old sea captain's house in a small town in coastal Maine, running around in the woods, the proverbial 'tom boy' with tadpoles in a jar.... and now would at least like to eventually move out of this city, again to someplace safer, greener, and peaceful. After these years of isolation due to lingering medical condition, I hope to find true and loyal friendships, at least.

Easy Going. Happy. Adventurous. Coffee Addict. Book Nerd. Loving. City Girl. Traditional Catholic. Dog Lover. Traveler. Thoughtful. Creative. Fun loving. Lover of all things true, beautiful and good. My name is Anna. I work as a Lakefront Operations Supervisor just outside of Chicago. I go to a very traditional Catholic Church. I go to Latin mass twice a week....and I don't fall asleep! I have very strong, traditional values. Here's the thing though, I believe that you can be that way and still be kind of normal. I like to dress up in clothes that are in style. (If my legs or my shoulders bother you, tough luck.) I love my short shorts. I'm like listening to the radio. I love Pitbull and Taylor Swift. (Don't judge me. I have much better taste too) I like to watch my trashy shows sometimes. And I like a couple of glasses of wine on occasion. (Sparkling) I'm not going to pretend to be a perfectly holy woman but I'm also going to strive every day to be the best Catholic! The goal is to be a saint right? And while the thought of my ever being a saint makes me laugh, I'm still going to devote every day. Although, it's really hard not to stay out of trouble. Now, if you made it past that last paragraph and haven't run away yet.....I love all the little things in life, as cheesy as that sounds. I love those rainy days when you sit there with a cup of coffee and a good book, all cuddled up listening to the rain hit the window. All those kinds of things. I love exploring new neighborhoods in the city and discovering hidden gems. I'm a total city girl. However, I also love exploring state parks and camping! I just love it all. My forever favorite is definitely the beach. I would be lost without it.

Hi! I'm Maddy. I am a student at Ball State University in Muncie, IN. I am a Marketing major with minors in Spanish and Graphic Arts Technology. My faith is the center of my life! I love attending daily mass, spending time in daily adoration, and praying the rosary everyday. When I am not at church, I spend my time in class, working out, with my sisters in Christ, catching up on Netflix. I love to read spiritual books such as The Story of a Soul (St. Terese is my patron!), The Flame of Love, Champions of the Rosary, and others. I appreciate humor and movies such as The Heat and Kicking and Screaming. I am not looking for anything too serious at this stage in my life, but am open to meeting new people!

Life and love seems to be the highest value. Meeting right people in right time and place - is luck. ability to recognize them - is more then luck. I hope I will get there at some point and I will not be blind. Meeting a soulmate must be a grate thing (never happened to me when it comes to opposite sex ). Meeting a person from another pole is more of a challenge. Ever or may work great as long as there is chemistry in between. Honesty and ability to trust are fundamental. John Paul the second was a great propagator of those values. He was great traveler too. It is sad, that the word shrinks for those who love to travel, but I hope to continue to discover the word. I would love to get back on the trail in Peru again, I would love to be in Venice in Doge's Palace during the carnival or to be a part of culinary trip. Active life stile is definitely my preference. To be in cold climate - not much of my thing unless skiing. I enjoy theater, opera, healthy food,I love to dance. I wish I could spend more time with my wonderful son.
