I've been widowed for 13 years after more than 23 years of marriage. I have three children. My oldest son is 31 and I have 24 year old boy/girl twins. I was blessed with a wonderful husband who was truly a great person. I love to travel, read, spend time with friends, garden. camp, watch movies. I'm definitely open to new adventures. As my kids are grown up and on their own. I am also ready for a new chapter in my life. I'm pretty laid back and easy-going. I'm financially secure and independent. I enjoy good conversation. I had a good marriage and don't come with a lot of baggage. I'm very open and sincere.

I'm passionate about life. I enjoy travel, sun, a good micro IPA or glass of wine, coffee, reading, music (most genres excluding country, rap and hip hop), movies and more. I find happiness in walking outdoors (but I walk regularly on my treadmill indoors, as well), window shopping in eclectic or unique urban settings, visiting museums, appreciating the performing arts and taking in local fare. Finding interesting things to do in Indianapolis is something I enjoy on weekends. I participate in community/fundraising walks for causes and am trying "Music of the Night" at Crown Hill Cemetery this weekend with friends. My closest friends (one is sitting over my shoulder as I type) would tell you that I'm kind and would do anything to help others, such as walking my neighbor's dog daily while she works, supporting the causes of friends, and helping my other neighbor with transportation. They also would say I have a phenomenal sense of humor, like to laugh and am not afraid try new things. I'm mostly retired, working a part-time job, so I have plenty of time to enjoy life and do things with friends. Translation: most of my time is now leisure time. I have cats, but obviously am a dog lover, too. I volunteer at the Humane Society for Hamilton County and spend several hours a week walking dogs and transporting them to a local day care center. My faith is important to me, but I'm careful to not push it on others and appreciate individual perspectives. I credit my friends and family as being significantly influential in my life, helping to expand my horizons, encouraging me to try new things, and experiencing the benefits of travel.

I have been a widow for 9 years. My husband passed away from lung cancer, and I do not care to be around smokers. I watched him suffer too long and don't care to go through that again. I have 3 grown daughters and 5 grandchildren. They are the joys of my life. I enjoy watching my grandchildren's sports and activities. I spend a lot of time with my family and my late husband's family, which is very large. I have been an elected official and have been involved in county government for 30 years. I retired 2 years ago and now only fill in occasionally when the current recorder needs me. I would love to spend my winters in a warm environment. Florida sounds good to me, as I have visited my niece several times in Jacksonville and enjoy the weather there. I have also been thinking of the Gulf Coast. I enjoy reading and genealogy. I would like to be able to travel and pursue my family history more thoroughly. I would also just like to see more of the United States.

Wow, I said I'd never do this and really don't know what to write, but will give it a try. I'm basically a very happy person with a good sense of humor, even-tempered and enjoy many things - the top two right now are golfing and dancing. I would love to meet a thoughtful, fun-loving, non-smoking guy who also has many interests and will become my best friend and buddy. This leaves a lot unsaid, but we can discuss all else after contact is made.

Hello, I am sort of new to this, so bear with me please. I am Orthodox Catholic, age 61, Divorced. I have 3 adult children, and one almost there. Right now, I am not particularly passionate about any one thing, but that could change at any moment, sort of spontaneous that way. I like learning about stuff, just different things. Somethings piques my interest and I will learn all I can about it. I love meeting and talking to people; enjoy being around young people, and those not so young. I love to drive. Its not unusual for me to just get in the car and go, no particular destination, just drive. I'm not much for TV, but I like movies, music, books, all kinds of things. I look forward to getting off work, and doing other, more fun things. Though I do love my work and the people I work for and with. Currently, I am working in my third career, what I call my "retirement job". I started out as a teacher, then social worker, now I supervise college students at a Big Ten University. I am very easy-going, not much gets me out of sorts. I am equally comfortable at home or out and about, though I'm not too crazy about loud crowds. I like to cook, which is why I eat out infrequently. I like to volunteer for my community, and was a girl scout leader long after my own girls had left scouting. And while I am not a crazy cat lady, I have been known to care for the strays people keep dumping along the side of the road. I make sure they get fed, if needed and tended to, if injured. Can you tell I am partial to cats? I don't own any, but I like them. Dogs are okay too, especially friendly ones you can get down and roughhouse with, but I don't own any of those either.

I have been divorced many years, but, by choice, dated very little. But now I feel a need to have someone to share life with. I am very sincere and honest and very particular in what ever I do. Honesty and loyalty are important to me, as I do not think a good lasting relationship can form without them. I would like to find a christian man to talk to often, to spend time with doing a variety of things and to be my someone special who really cares about me. I like simple things in life - walking by creeks, sight-seeing, visiting parks, caring for my big country yard and especially, just sitting on my back porch talking. I love music, dancing and volleyball. I would really like to meet a nice man to share life with, to help me through good times and bad, and consider me his "someone special".

I enjoy listening to music, playing cards, summer evening rides in my convertible and meeting new people. I also enjoy working in the yard--I'm not afraid to get dirty. Love to dance!! I'm the proud mother of one son and a brand new daughter-in-law. I also have an English Bull Dog that keeps me company. I'm very much looking forward to becoming a "Grammy" someday. I also enjoy watching college and pro football along with college basketball. Go Boilers!!!

Passionate about my faith (growing in it) and my family (praying them into Heaven); all else takes second place. Annulment pending. Greatest influences; My parents, quite strict but built us to be strong, to love God, to be fair to others. Neither finished high school, which was fairly common during the War. It was impossible to fool my wise father on anything.... never kid a kidder, he would say! But he taught me many valuable lessons. I especially recall his kindness early one morning after a young man fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into our parked new station wagon....this young man had no insurance so refused a trip to the hospital, my dad brought him in, cleaned his head wounds and took great care of him. When I asked him why he wasn't upset about the car, he firmly chastised me that cars can always be replaced but people cannot be replaced. That always made a huge impression on me. He wasn't a brick and mortar type of Catholic, but he lived his faith by example in the way he treated others and his indifference towards materialism. At his funeral, I was stunned by the many people, strangers many, divulging numerous stories of his aiding so many in need, always while rather impoverished himself. My mother was more of a devotional Catholic and more recently I have developed a fuller appreciation and understanding of how her prayers have benefitted me (and still do) and it humbles me in gratitude. So they are my greatest influences and I hope they are smiling down on me. Leisure time? I spend way too much time on the computer and have cut that way back, except that I really enjoy writing and hope to publish someday. I love my dog, had two until recently. I read a lot, lovelovelove music and in my imagination I am an amazing dancer but reality is more like Elaine on Seinfeld. I try to go swimming at the YMCA several times a week to get in better shape and I really enjoy that, eat pretty healthy. Pilates 2 times a week. Love wave running and jumping waves whenever I get the chance. Politics is one of my many passions, so a bit distracted these days! I love old movies which is a passion I inherited from my mother. I'm especially fond of World War 2 movies based on hearing my father's experience in the army. Or any movie that I find edifying or based on a true story I always enjoy. Enjoy remodeling and decorating. I would like to study photography, I am drawn to snapping away at sunsets and autumn scenes or nature in general.

The thing I enjoy most is spending time with my children and grandchildren. I still work and love it. I enjoy going out to dinner, movies, concerts, plays and just listening to music. I like to volunteer in the food pantry at my church and help in other ways when needed.
