  • Elizabeth, 38 from Ames, IA

I'm very devoted to my faith and to my family. Both have gotten me through good times and bad. I'm looking forward to starting a family of my own someday, if that is God's plan for my life. In my free time, I like to craft (crochet, embroider, sew, weave, etc.), read, watch tv, or go for a long walk. I do some running, but usually only in the fall when the weather is reasonable and I'm not so busy at work. I also like to learn languages and am currently studying Spanish and French - though I'm not brave enough to claim proficiency in either, yet.

Hi. Thank you for taking time to read my profile. I am a honest, emotionally mature individual that is confident, kind hearted, passionate, happy, beautiful from the inside out, that communicates well, has a great sense of humor and a good outlook on life. I have a great sense of adventure and look forward to visiting new places and meeting new people with that special man. At this stage in our lives, everyone comes with baggage. I accept my past - it has made me what I am today but I do not live in the past. I live each day as if it were a gift and look forward to what the future holds for me. What I'm looking for is a man that has those same qualities, practices in his faith and values a faith based relationship. And first and foremost that he values honesty (no matter how hard the message is), friendship, and knows that a great relationship is built and maintained by talking and in-person time and that texting is not the main foundation or means of communication. Thanks again and good luck!

  • Katie, 26 from Des Moines, IA
    26, Des Moines, IA
I'm a proud graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville where I studied philosophy and theology. I also have a master's degree in Scripture which means I sometimes get distracted by Hebrew labels in the Kosher aisle. I grew up in California, an hour from the mountains and an hour from the beach. Being outside makes me feel alive. I try to spend a few days beach camping when I'm home and a couple years ago I finally bagged "The Big One", Mt. Whitney! For my day job, I work at a nearby suburban parish and run their womb-to-tomb faith formation with the assistance of a staff of four. It is both exciting and challenging work. A couple times a month I moonlight as a freelance speaker and teacher for extra income - and the fun of it, because it really is fun. My Catholic faith is the single-most important thing in my life. It calls me to live with excitement, courage, and a desire for greatness and that is so refreshing. This vision extends to marriage and that gives me great hope. In a world where most girls are too afraid to marry the man they live with, Jesus and his Church tell us not to be afraid of commitment. To trust that two people dedicated to a life of virtue can not only live together in unity but can raise a family of saints. Yay!
