60, Des Moines, IAFirst of all, I am CATHOLIC. The Catholic faith and traditions are very important to me. I belong to a fantastic parish and we are like a family. I recently switched jobs from being a teacher of 2 year olds to working at a hotel. Too many years of teaching 2's had made me lose part of my mind (only kidding). I love children and will miss that job ALOT. I can get my fix of children with my best friend-she and her husband have 8. I also teach CCD to and just this year graduated to teaching the 1st Communion kids from being with the 4 & 5 year olds.I was nervous about making the switch to the big kids, but it was truly a blessing. God always knows what he is doing when we get challenged and say yes. And as I mentioned I belong to a fantastic parish with lots of big familes. Friends, family and children are very important to me. I have 2 older brothers, a niece, a nephew and a great nephew and as of July 7th, 2012 a great niece who is very cute. They all live a distance from me so I don't get to see them often, that may change as my niece has just relocated to Iowa. I love my family very much. I am very grateful to have made wonderful friends where I live who are like family.. I was lucky enough to see Pope John Paul 2 at World Youth Day in Denver which was a unique experience and has it's own share of miracles to go with it. I am so glad I took the opportunity to go to Denver. I have reached the point in my life where I can honestly say I am very happy just to be me especially since I took on the challenge to lose weight and have lost 50 pounds as of July 7, 2012!!

43, Des Moines, IA"I just like to smile, smiling is my favorite thing" ~Buddy the Elf. I am a positive, strong, and independent women who is very rooted in my Catholic faith. Laughter, honesty, trust, hard work, and sharing common interests are essential in a relationship / friendship. My faith and remaining true to myself are key in all aspects of my life. Because I truly believe in following God's plan for my life, I joyously live the moment and am enjoying the adventure of my journey. I believe that both parties in a relationship should complement each other in strengths and weaknesses and should help each other grow along the journey. I failed Mind Reading 101 so I call it as I see it and there is no reading between the lines to figure out what I think or mean. Little things make me smile, while I am laid back I am very passionate and generous toward the people and activities I love in my life. I enjoy photography, outdoor activities, cooking, going to the shooting range, spending time with family and friends especially my daughter. I enjoy football, hockey, and am open to new adventures. 78, Traer, IAI enjoy walking, bicycling, playing cards, listening to good music, going to plays and spending time with family and friends. My Catholic faith is important to me and has been a big influence in my life. I have a granddaughter who is playing college basketball and enjoy watching her compete, as well as all of the Iowa college teams, especially the Hawkeyes. My husband and I had 54+ years together before he passed from cancer over 5 years ago. He loved to tease me and I loved to make him laugh, even if it was at me. They were good years for the most part. We raised 4 boys and 1 girl and they have given me 14 grandchildren and 2 great grand children. I love to spend time with them, but they have their own lives as I have mine. I enjoy an occasional adult beverage, either beer or a glass of wine and an evening at home or out with friends. Most of all, I love to travel and believe in all of life the journey is as important as the destination. As of 10/2016, my granddaughter has graduated college so my winters are going to be filled with more travel and adventures. I am looking forward to zip-lining sometime soon. Also would like to kayak and/or canoe more.

Good luck!
53, Waterloo, IAI appreciate the simple things in life and enjoy the moment and would like a man in my life that could do the same. I enjoy leisure cycling, sunsets, beaches, and boating. I would like to dance again, but I need the right partner. Are you him? I'm told I'm patient, compassionate, kind and taking life by the tail. I'm proud of my only child who has graduated from college and lives in another state. She is awesome and we are on the phone with one another regularly. I live and work in Iowa. I love my job. Life is good! The only thing actually missing is a loving, caring man. I do want to have an interaction that builds into a lasting and fulfilling relationship leading to a sacramental marriage. 26, Des Moines, IAI'm a Franciscan University grad where I studied philosophy and theology. I also have a master's degree in Scripture which means I sometimes get distracted by Hebrew labels in the Kosher aisle. I grew up in California, an hour from the mountains and an hour from the beach. I love the outdoors, beach camping, hiking. A couple years ago I got to bag "The Big One", Mt. Whitney! Terrible and wonderful at the same time. I work at a suburban parish and run their womb-to-tomb faith formation with the assistance of a staff of four. My Catholic faith is the single-most important thing in my life. It helps me to live with excitement, courage, and a desire for greatness and that is so refreshing.
28, Coralville, IAHi, I'm Holly and I love to read. I like to read different things, mostly fiction, and I pretty much always have a book with me. I also love to bake, make jewelry, garden, dance, watch movies and just hang out with family and friends. A little more about me is that I am rather shy, but once I get to know people I'm able to open up more. I'd also say I'm someone who can take pleasure in some of the simple things of life. Sometimes just going for a walk on a nice day, spending time with friends, gardening, spending an evening reading, or seeing the stars on a clear night is all I need to lift my mood.
