68, Bettendorf, IAMy life centers around my teaching job, music ministry church job, and shopping! I spend one day of the weekend with my elderly parents. I love to shop and have nice clothes. I love to travel and do so in the summer. The graduate courses that I most enjoy are taught in interesting places. I have no pet, but have considered getting a non-shedding dog for companionship; however, my lifestyle does not seem to warrant a pet at this time--they would spend much of the day alone. I have taught nearly 39 years in the same school system, and continue to enjoy what I do. I enjoy taking classes and attending conferences, many of which concern learning and the brain. My two children are grown, married, and successfully employed. I am anxious for the day when one of them calls to say that I will be a "grandma"! YEA! So far, I have only two grand-dogs! My daughter and son-in-law are living near Denver, Co., and my son and daughter-in-law live near Des Moines. My spare time is spent either at the computer, reading, shopping, looking through new music for school and church, and meeting a friend for breakfast or lunch! I enjoy exercising at Curves, but much of our time is spent talking! There are few times when I am at a loss for words! Finding humor, fun, and laughter in nearly everything and everyday is so important! I do not care to be around people who are negative and talk about their aches and pains; however, it would be nice to find someone who was caring enough to wonder how I am, and know that I would be there for them as well.

I am a jazz/torche/blues singer who loves & sings all types of music. I'm an intelligent, deep thinker with a wacky sarcastic comedic side. I'm a sponge; interested in the arts and all aspects of life. I like conspiracy theory, psychology, spy movies and I'm kind of a news hound. I am a very sensual woman who is a lady. I look 10 years younger than my age and some of my best friends are 10 years younger than me. I am told I'm pretty. I try to be as honest as I can in my life. My faith has brought me through some of the worst times in my life, so would want someone who also has a deep faith.
61, Marshalltown, IAI'm a country girl at heart and enjoy most anything of a domestic nature, cooking, entertaining, gardening, decorating and enjoying the outdoors and a cozy home. I'm fun-loving, witty, caring, sensitive and an incurable romantic. I love spending time with family and friends, love to dance and socialize as well as spending quiet times at home. I'm a mother of two grown, married children and have 8 beautiful grandchildren. I like to travel when I have the opportunity and look forward to having more time for that in retirement, as well as volunteering and a few more home projects. But although I look forward, I live life in the present and find enjoyment in, and am grateful for, all blessings, no matter how big or small. I've always considered my faith one of the biggest blessings.
66, West Des Moines, IAThe faith God has given me is the most important thing in this life. As a single person all my life, my parents (deceased) and family are very important to me. My parents taught me the love of God. Before converting to Catholicism in 2010, God's work over a five-year period of time, I was a third-generation Methodist. I embrace all teachings of the Catholic Church and am looking for a companion who does also. The real presence in the Eucharist was embedded in my spirit, with God's grace, for as long as I can remember. In other words, I've always been a Catholic; I just didn't know it until God began calling me to the Catholic Church. I enjoy the quiet things in life . . . going on a walk while listening to Catholic radio, watching a good movie, listening to Christian music or playing it on the piano, a meal out with a close friend, talking with people at church, and traveling abroad. I have been serving as a Eucharistic Minister at a local Catholic hospital for several years and am a member of Serra Club. I retired after 30 some years in the counseling profession and worked several years as a corporate trainer. God has given me a fondness for animals. Looking the friendship of a caring, well-educated, and devout Catholic man with a great sense of humor.
