60, Des Moines, IAFirst of all, I am CATHOLIC. The Catholic faith and traditions are very important to me. I belong to a fantastic parish and we are like a family. I recently switched jobs from being a teacher of 2 year olds to working at a hotel. Too many years of teaching 2's had made me lose part of my mind (only kidding). I love children and will miss that job ALOT. I can get my fix of children with my best friend-she and her husband have 8. I also teach CCD to and just this year graduated to teaching the 1st Communion kids from being with the 4 & 5 year olds.I was nervous about making the switch to the big kids, but it was truly a blessing. God always knows what he is doing when we get challenged and say yes. And as I mentioned I belong to a fantastic parish with lots of big familes. Friends, family and children are very important to me. I have 2 older brothers, a niece, a nephew and a great nephew and as of July 7th, 2012 a great niece who is very cute. They all live a distance from me so I don't get to see them often, that may change as my niece has just relocated to Iowa. I love my family very much. I am very grateful to have made wonderful friends where I live who are like family.. I was lucky enough to see Pope John Paul 2 at World Youth Day in Denver which was a unique experience and has it's own share of miracles to go with it. I am so glad I took the opportunity to go to Denver. I have reached the point in my life where I can honestly say I am very happy just to be me especially since I took on the challenge to lose weight and have lost 50 pounds as of July 7, 2012!!

53, Newton, IAI'm a drama free person who looks on the bright side of life. Teaching middle school for 27 years is proof! I like to keep busy with work, volunteering and helping others. I'm a great mother of two grown children, a great teacher who puts a lot of time and energy to help my students build a brighter future and pretty good cook (yet I hate cooking for one!) I love surprises and adventures. I would like to try SCUBA diving, skydiving, and travel more. This would be so much more fun with someone to share the experience. Looking to meet someone who is quick to smile, enjoys new adventures and young at heart. Looking for my best friend and partner in crime.
74, Council Bluffs, IABeing retired in the recent past, I am enjoying getting used to having free time. I enjoy reading (mysteries, fiction), movies, crafting, traveling. I love to laugh and have fun, but I can be serious too and enjoy good conversation, getting to know people. My mom is still living at almost 97 and is still healthy except for macular degeneration. She still lives in and takes care of her home, but I do spend quality time with her often. I hope to find a volunteer project also, something in the line of providing meals at a shelter or assisting at Gabriel's Corner, a local pregnancy crisis center started by one of our deacons and his wife.

I currently teach preschool kids and love their energy and excitement for the day! I myself have been described in the last few weeks as energetic and yet calm. I love my job and usually have plenty of stories to tell! My own kids are my rock and centering point. I would not be the woman I am without them and I love to expose them to new places, people, and things! I am divorced and to be honest, trusting someone will be very hard for me! I would love a guy that wants to go very slow, trust build with me. My kids come first, but I am slowly warming to the idea of a guy in my life.
