I am in awe of people who define themselves by their work. I am gainfully employed, but it is just a means to an end. I am not my work. I am from a large close knit family. I prefer answering questions about myself rather than volunteering information.

Hi! I'd like to start from the fact that I moved to Iowa three years ago looking mainly to a better future because it's getting crazy in my country. I'm from Syria and I was raised Catholic which makes Iowa a very good place to be in because people are very friendly, of high values, with great appreciation to family, and the majority is still connected to church. It's quite a challenging adjusting experience, especially with weather :) I just earned a masters degree in accounting but most probably other exams are coming along the way. I love nature, hiking, and picnics. If get the chance to meet my partner here, I'd love for us to be involved in helping poor families and in growing our faith by being close to people in need.

Hi! I am a Traditional Catholic, and I very much love and try to live my faith. I have been working as a SCL (social community living) for the mentally disabled for the past 7 years. It can be very challenging but I do enjoy it. In my spare time I like to go out for a nice walk and enjoy nature or at times you may find me inside reading.

I am a kind, generous person who likes to be active. I was raised in the country on the farm and even though I live in town now, I am still country at heart. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and gardening, but my passion is quilting and my grandchildren.

I am a woman that loves her catholic faith and strives to live it everyday. I am passionate about life and enjoying all the blessings God has to offer, one of my greatest blessings in my life I have received is my daughter. She has been the joy and light in my life. She reminds me everyday how beautiful life can be. I have been influenced by trying to make good choices in life and what God wants for me. My parents have been a strong influence in my life teaching me how important it is to have God and my catholic faith as my main focus in my life! I like to learn from the saints. My favorite saint is st. Therese of lisieux. One of my favorite quotes by st. Therese is " Prayer for me is an outburst from the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy. " I have traveled to new york, florida, mexico and a few other various places. I would love to travel to colorado, ireland, italy, and one day the holy land. In my spare time i love just being with my family and doing things with my daughter.

I can't say I'm passionate about one thing only, but if i had to name one it would be learning more about Catholicism. I love how one question leans to another and another and another and soon you find yourself talking about something completely different or in a deep deep conversation and its completely fascinating, rich and fulfilling. I also highly enjoy outdoor activities, it's what i look forward to in my leisure time. Camping, hiking, biking, walking, canoeing, fishing, I'm not much of a swimmer but i enjoy floating. One of my dreams is to go to the Grand Canyon to camp and hike; i would also love to make to the mountains to hike, camp and anything else. The most influential people in my life have been people outside my family. While i love and would do anything for my family, my friends and extended family have been more influential than my immediate family. If it wasn't for my family, however, I wouldn't be here, so i remain forever grateful for them.

I am passionate about life, my faith, helping others, for fulfilling my calling and using my gift God has given me to be of service to him. I look forward to helping others which is what I do day in and day out. I am truly doing what I feel God has called me to do and that brings me great peace. The experiences that I've been most influenced in my life have been the ones where I have been able to grow. I grew up in a military background all my life and have traveled the world both as part of my upbringing and then serving in the military. When you live in the military culture, you become very aware of your surroundings and learn to live life in the present moment you also learn to let go of things easily and to not get attached to things of this world. I have reached the point in my life now where I'm ready to settle down, serve God through my work and hopefully with my future partner. I am currently completing year three of a four year PhD program at the University of Iowa. I'm also a full-time marriage and family therapist. The reason I mention this is because when it comes to leisure time it has been quite the challenge for me to find a time to do much. However every free moment that I have I do spend it doing something that I love. I try to get out and walk the trails when the weather permits, meet up with friends and catch up, go to church functions or outings, find new places to visit and travel to. One of my biggest passions is astronomy. I do belong to the amateur astronomy club, I have my own dobsonian telescope and enamored with the stars and the amazing creation that God has given us in our universe. I love to learn, and I love to learn from others. To be honest, I never thought I would end up on an online dating website however due to my busy schedule and quite honestly not there being a lot to do as far as social interaction with fellow Catholics I feel this is the best step for me. I am praying that God has led me here for a reason even if it's just to make new Catholic friends.

Look forward to talking to new people learning about you and what you look forward to. Influential people in my life have been my parents and the marriage they displayed for me. In my leisure time I enjoy varied activities and would enjoy exploring shared activities with a new friend.

Orginially, I went to college to study Opera, but during my freshman year, the Holy Spirit laid it on my heart to start a pro-life group on campus. Two days after publicly announcing the group's first meeting, I got sugar put in the gastank of my car. Two days after that, the valve stems on my tires were cut. For the next four years, I faced administrative discrmination. Now, I work full-time for a pro-life non-profit as Vice President of Education as well as a public speaker. If you'd overhear me talking to someone, it'd most likely be about El Salvador, human dignity, pro-life issues, or my desire to be a mother. If you'd run into me, it'd probably be at a Caribou Coffee. If my friends were to describe me, they'd say I am incredibly outgoing, passionate, and candid. Two of my favorite quotes: "It is the duty of every man to uphold the dignity of every woman." - Saint Pope John Paul II & "In an age that has thrown off tradition, the only rebellion possible is orthodoxy." - Peter Kreeft
