57, Cedar Rapids, IAThanks for stopping by. I'm from a traditional Catholic family with a very large extended family. My mom and dad were married for almost 55 years before my father died. I've had aunts and uncles on both sides of my family, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversaries. My maternal grandparents were married 59 years before my grandfather died. Their marriages are great examples of how a marriage should be. I hope to one day follow their examples once married. I am open to whatever God has in store for me with regards to family. If you have children from a previous marriage, that would be great. I'm wiling to help raise your children as a maternal influence. I'm also open to adopting children once I am married. I have always felt that a child needs a mother and a father. I'm here to make friends as well as meet someone to share the rest of my life with. I'm honest, caring, considerate, soft-hearted, hard-working and affectionate. I love to laugh with others and at myself. My friends would say I have a great personality. (Hey! They are my friends for a reason!! ;) Right? ) I enjoy a wide variety of interests including walking, movies, reading, antiques, spending time with family and friends. I enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. I've been involved with several areas of my parish from being a RCIA sponsor to being responsible for teens while on a service trip to help the homeless and less fortunate in Minneapolis. It was a life changing experience. I 've also been a member of the parish council. I enjoy volunteering at one of the free medical clinics in town along with an organization which provides support to cancer patients. I believe in the corporal works of Mercy. I try to participate in volunteer opportunities as they present themselves and my schedule allows.
33, Des Moines, IA"I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples. " ~Mother Teresa I am an individual who is sincere, kind, and gentle. I uphold true femininity and virtue in a world that scoffs at such things and I live my life trying to follow God's will. I enjoy exploring different cultures, cuisines, and religions, because if we understand each other better, our world will become more united.
36, West Des Moines, IAI am most passionate about living life to its fullest since you don't know what tomorrow may bring. This has been made clear by past personnel events and current events in the news. I am always planning my next trip to visit a National Park. There is just something about getting out in nature and seeing the beauty that God created. When I am not working or traveling you can find me reading or watching sports. I know a little about most sports so I understand what is going on but I follow only a few teams.

I love to bake. Always making something to take to work. My door is always open to welcome whoever wants to stop in. I would love to go an all-inclusive resort or on a cruise. A couple of things on my bucket list. I used to ride a motorcycle but didn't get out much. Didn't really hang out with anyone else who rode. So I either went alone or didn't go at all. 47, Spillville, IAI am a 47 year old widow. I have three beautiful daughters, but I will soon be an empty nester. I am looking for someone to share in the simple pleasures of daily life. Someone to share in the joys of good days and support each other during the bad days. I enjoy spending quality time with my teenage/grown up daughters. We have always had a very close relationship. Losing my husband brought us much closer, but something is still missing for me. I have my husband's blessing to move on and find someone to spend this chapter of my life with. He knew that I have a lot of love to give yet and am not any good at being alone. I'm better as a team with a man I can love and adore. Likewise, I will require that you adore me as well. :-) I make an effort to spend time with my parents, you never know when you won't have them anymore. I am Godparent to three nieces, my neighbor's daughter, and the son of very good friends. Apparently they think I am something pretty special to have chosen me for this honor. I love a good roadtrip. Just for a day or a weekend away.
