I am an outgoing intelligent lady with a good sense of humour, and have always believed in having a positive approach to life! I understand also the importance of being at peace in oneself, and know that my Catholic faith has helped to provides me with this sense of peace. I have a wonderful family and enjoy many wonderful times with my Mother in the West of Ireland, and also visiting my brothers and sisters and their families. This is something that I am getting more time to do now since I moved back from England to Ireland a few years ago . I am also fairly active and enjoy walking in the countryside. I have strong family values and would like to meet people with similar values, and I am hoping that this web site provides opportunities to meet such..

I have a young outlook, having children keeps me away from acting my age, I think, - I have learned several skills during my life, I first trained as a hairdresser, went on to train as a secretary, then a nurse. I also took courses in floristry and cake decorating, so now I am a freelance florist, mainly working with weddings, giving personal and unique service to the bridal party. I also make cakes of all types, from mad character or novelty birthday cakes to classic wedding cakes. My mother was a dressmaker, so I also picked up that skill and used to run my own soft furnishing business, making and fitting all kinds of curtains, blinds, cushions, anything you like!! Now I mainly make clothes, the debs season is usually busy, and summer for bridal. I really do have a great sense of humour and can see the funny side of most things, love to laugh with people, and also love to see the beauty of the world, being lucky to live near the sea and mountains, their beauty can take my breath away. I think the small gestures in life are more meaningful than the grand...... chips on the beach, not always fine dining........ a loving text in the afternoon, not always bouquets, ......... a bar of chocolate left as a surprise, not a 5lb box..... l I love homelife, cooking, decorating, etc., but also love to travel, dine out, all the usual things that everyone loves...... I have an interest in poetry and old books, and all things Irish, from literature to music. My daughters are professional Irish dancers, and in my youth I did ceili and set dancing. I see no point at all in dishonesty and secret keeping, but see every point in being fiercely romantic, caring, and loving to distraction.......... to have someone who shares these views would be a true soulmate....

I am a kind, considerate, down to earth and relatively easy going person. Family is very important to me and I spend lots of time with my siblings and nephews. I am adventurous and like trying new things. I like socialising but am equally happy at home. I enjoy outdoor activities and do alot of hill walking. I like being close to nature even though I currently live in the city. I also do lots of yoga and pilates. I like to keep fit and in good shape. I love to travel and see new places. I have had several relationships, just never met the right person to share my life with. I would like to meet my soulmate. Maybe it will happen on this site. I try to make the most of life and live as good a life as I can from day to day.

I'm smiling and optimistic. I like meeting people. In summertime I usually go to the mountines - I love walking and visiting new places. In my free time I read books, sometimes theological (but written with simple language for simple people like me). I'm also a volunteer, I do some medical help. I'm interrested in bioethics and read some news in this subject.

"Let us lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith." Hello! I am not great at describing myself but my philosophy towards life could be summed up in the above verse from Scripture. I believe that life is a great adventure; a race to run, and that there is joy and hope to be found even in the moments of adversity through this wonderful faith of ours. I see marriage as two very imperfect people helping each other get to heaven, and I'm hoping to find my imperfect person here. Some things about me: - I love making lists - I am very introverted in group settings but will happily talk about anything and everything with an individual I'm interested in - I love learning; history, politics, languages, physics - everything. I have a reading list stretching into probably the next 10 years for history alone - I don't believe there is ever a reason to be bored - I love the countryside and am very blessed to live in the beautiful west of Ireland - I also love spending a few days in the city when I get the chance and try to cram in as many concerts, museums, etc, as I can - My favourite season is autumn but honestly, there are things to love about all four - I have a good job and like to think I'm good at it, but I will never be a "career person" - I love baking, cooking, sewing, gardening...anything to do with home making

Hello! This is my first ever profile - forgive me if I make any beginners mistakes ;-) What can I say about myself....I am blessed to have had a very interesting life so far. I have lovely friends, I've travelled the world, lived & worked in several different countries, have close friends all over Europe, and have many and varied interests. I also have a deep spirituality and a strong value system. My educational background is in medical and healthcare, and I have a deep interest in health, wellness, and nutrition, both personally and in helping others. However I am currently actively pursuing musical studies at the conservatory of music & drama, where I study oboe and musicianship. This is my main interest at the moment and is the pursuit I am most passionate about in life. I love to listen to music, attend concerts, study music, and of course perform it. There is no greater joy! I play oboe in two symphony orchestras and continue to play violin in another. I also sing in a choir. Although I have two science degrees, I love the arts also. I'm not a left-brained scientist! I love art and literature and history in particular, and have studied French, Spanish and recently Norwegian also, though I claim no level of fluency whatsoever! :-) I love reading, especially cultural and historical fiction. I love to be in nature and outdoors, hiking, cycling, swimming or even sailing on the high seas, but I am no daredevil so no extreme sports for me (!). All my friends are Christian and deeply spiritual, which I did not deliberately seek, but seems to be the way things have turned out. I don't think it's really a coincidence. I met many of my best friends at the catholic chaplaincy in University and we are still friends 20 years later. I seems to be important in my life that I associate with others of faith, so I think I need to find this in a partner also, someone who shares my faith and value system. For leisure I enjoy concerts of all kinds of music (almost!), sharing lunch or coffee with friends, reading, walking, seeing exhibitions, watching independent films, attending festivals etc. I am a very relaxed and easy-going person to spend time with, I am kind and generous, caring and empathetic and almost always happy and content. I really look forward to meeting a strong and interesting man, who is kind, respectful and caring and hopefully shares some of the same interests as me. However, the most important thing for me is a spiritual connection and shared values.
