Genuine is the word that my friends would most often use to describe me. I am also spiritual, creative, gentle, and intelligent. I like to get to know people and how they've become who they are. I have a bachelor's degree in music education and an associate's degree in graphic and web design. I love to learn. I listen to all kinds of music including classical, classic rock and New Age. I love to spend time with my family and friends - talking and laughing, playing board games or outdoor games. I spend time outside walking or just appreciating the beauty of the day. The beach is my favorite vacation spot and I love the ocean and anything to do with water - swimming, boating, etc. As far as social situations go I prefer small groups over a large party. I enjoy time alone as well and I need that time to re energize myself. I also think it is a great feeling to be so comfortable with someone that even silence is sweet. I am moderate in my views as a Catholic. It is important in my life for me to emphasize growing in a personal relationship with God.

I'm a Catholic mom with two children still in the nest. I am currently working as a Direct Support Provider for a home care agency. I also work part time in a local Catholic school cafeteria. With my children getting older I think it may be time to start to find someone special to share my life with. Apparently even though they are older, its still difficult to find time for myself, but I'm not one to decline the challenge. I grew up in Florida, and started working with race horses after graduation. Traveling with them to different tracks was exciting and rewarding AND I got paid to live out my passion. Ultimately my travels led me to Kentucky where I still live. Ironically, once IN Kentucky, Horse Capital of the World, I had my second of five children and quite working with horses to be a full time mother. But I still enjoy going to the races and visiting horse farms. Suggestions for introducing myself say I should list influential people in my life. So, I guess I would have to say as far as famous people go, it would be Mother Teresa. But in my small little world, Id say it boils down to a couple close friends, as well as a couple nuns who taught me in grade school, My youngest daughter is named after them (she has huge shoes to fill). I'm not going to lie. I am still struggling to find myself at age 52. I hope that doesn't sound too cliche. I wouldn't trade the years Ive been left to raise my children alone, for anything, except for maybe someone reliable to have helped me with their upbringing. I did enjoy raising them; all our family activities, the adventures we went on together, and watching them grow. Now that this part of my life is almost over, I am trying to figure out what is next. For now, in my leisure time, occasionally Ill run off to Gatlinburg or Mammoth Cave for a quick get away, But most days I sit back after a days work, talk to my youngest about her school day, and have a glass of wine. From Spring through Fall its most enjoyable on my modest back deck with a Mary Garden and when I'm lucky I'm blessed with a visit from the Hummingbirds. Im blessed to have family in Florida and travel a couple times a year to visit, stopping in Saint Augustine. I love that wonderful little town and the Catholic history around it.
  • Angie, 42 from Louisville, KY
    42, Louisville, KY
I became Catholic in 2000, a year after my beloved Papaw passed away. Before that I had only attended Catholic Church, but not as an active member. I love the quiet reflection before Mass and the chance to pray silently throughout that period. I will be 41 in August and have never been married. I love dogs and have 2 of my own. I have volunteered at the Kentucky Humane Society in the past and would love to have the extra time to do it again. I welcome any questions that you may have for me and look forward to talking with you.
  • Shannan, 48 from Mayfield, KY
    48, Mayfield, KY
A few months ago, I had a near fatal accident involving a tractor bushog. I have extensive scarring on my r. glute but I am thankful I wasn't amputated or killed. I give thanks to my Lord and Savior every day for His Mercy. This experience changed me more than marriage, childbirth, or divorce. It helped me to grow close to God and to remember that I am His and He is Mine.

I consider myself a "work in progress". God places challenges and situations in my life that continue to help me grow and become a better person. I have a lot of life left to live and I am looking for someone to grow and learn with me. I desire someone who is wanting to grow together emotionally and more importantly spiritually.
  • Theresa, 45 from Lexington, KY
    45, Lexington, KY
Hi! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Good relationships are so essential in life's ups and downs. My children are my first priority and I believe parenting is the most important and rewarding job. (Also the most frustrating at times :). My friends and family consider me very reliable, kind, and honest. I have a very busy life but am looking to share time with someone special. I love outdoor activities and feel most alive when in nature. Hobbies include hiking, fishing, camping, and gardening. Would like to take up kayaking some day. Indoor hobbies include reading, sewing, listening to music and I love to dance. I also enjoy traveling. I come from a large family. My mom, grandmother and uncle were the most influential people in my early life. God and my children are my current guides.
  • Meredith, 25 from Covington, KY
    25, Covington, KY
Hello, I'm Meredith! When I'm not making beautiful and creative Catholic videos at work, I love to explore old churches with my camera, get lost in a great art museum, or find a cozy tea shop and share a conversation about a new book or movie (what's the most interesting film you've seen lately?) I feel comfortable around people and love hearing new perspectives, and I do my best to accept people as they are without moralizing or condemning (unless you don't like Star Wars. Everybody should like Star Wars). Sometimes I get obsessed with (seemingly) random foods. Like sushi (great sushi in Hawaii... and great memories from a friend's wedding!) To conclude, I'm kind of a dork, and sometimes I will make terrible puns because it makes me laugh! It's fun to dress up (and pretend I know how to be charming), but I'm always up for a relaxed barbecue or game night.

  • Cheryl, 66 from Louisville, KY

I love music and art, traveling, walks in the woods, working outside, cozy evenings by a fire inside ot outside, animals, sharing my days with someone meaningful. I enjoy all four seasons which is why I moved back to Kentucky from the Southwest. I guess one would say I like adventures having moved to New Zealand and working there for a while. Although I was born in Minnesota Ive lived in states around the great lakes as well as those with the Western Rockies. I lived around Colorado Springs for a while right under Pikes Peak. I still work almost full time but would like to retire and spend time with my the outdoors, walking in the woods looking for spring flowers, art, music, animals and share interests with a special person in my life... Not necessarily in that order! HA! My latest passion is wood carving. I must admit my nemesis is learning to sharpen my tools! Im always afraid Im going to ruin them! I do like riding my mule and horse. Peaches, my mule, is from Arizona and we used to ride all over Monument near Tucson. Mostly now I just hug her and give her kisses. She isnt afraid of anything... Rattlesnakes, mountain lions, bob cats.... But just can seem to get used to armadillos! I like working with my hands.i used to help my dad make muzzleloaders. That was his hobby. Probably where I got my interest in carving. We also went hunting together. We used to have venison, elk and antelope every year to eat. But I must say now wouldnt want to shoot a deer anymore. We also liked to go fishing a lot. I grew up around water so fishing was always an option. I inherited my dads fishing gear and tools when he passed away. Family and friends are important to me. Although my family is spread across the States we stay in touch and help each other out. Being half Italian I love cooking Italian dinners and especially love baking biscotti. Meeting new people is something I really enjoy. Im like my father.... Ive never met a stranger. Ive kinda searched all my life for my "soul mate" for lack of a better word. I think a person has more than one good fit out there... It seems Ive not made good choices sometimes. Guess its because I like most folks I meet and like to think I see something special in everyone...

The best way I can describe myself is, "What you see is what you get". I am my own person that is very comfortable with who I am and my faith. I love my blue jeans and horseback riding but I also like to wear my "little black dress" and hit the town. I love rainy weather and fires. I feel I am the all-around girl next door. I take my time getting to know a person. If you want to know more, well.....

I am passionate about the loved ones in my life. I look forward to sharing time with family. My parents, now both deceased, have been the most influential in my life. I enjoy attending family activities. I also enjoy outdoors: biking, walking, etc. I like to read, go to movies, attend performing arts, & time with friends.
  • Debra, 64 from Owensboro, KY
    64, Owensboro, KY
My name is Debra, everyone calls me DJ, they seem to find humor out of it. I like to read spiritual books that make me feel good about being alive. I really enjoy meeting people and listening to them speak about just almost anything they want. I have had alot of experiences in life, traveled alot when i was much younger, i will never forget the things that I encountered, nor will they probably forget me. My children have been my biggest influential people in my life, their grown and moved away, but we stay in touch. In my leisure time I walk alot, volunteer at the local church, or read, spend time with family and friends.
