53, Nicholasville, KYI'm a Catholic mom with two children still in the nest. I am currently working as a Direct Support Provider for a home care agency. I also work part time in a local Catholic school cafeteria. With my children getting older I think it may be time to start to find someone special to share my life with. Apparently even though they are older, its still difficult to find time for myself, but I'm not one to decline the challenge. I grew up in Florida, and started working with race horses after graduation. Traveling with them to different tracks was exciting and rewarding AND I got paid to live out my passion. Ultimately my travels led me to Kentucky where I still live. Ironically, once IN Kentucky, Horse Capital of the World, I had my second of five children and quite working with horses to be a full time mother. But I still enjoy going to the races and visiting horse farms. Suggestions for introducing myself say I should list influential people in my life. So, I guess I would have to say as far as famous people go, it would be Mother Teresa. But in my small little world, Id say it boils down to a couple close friends, as well as a couple nuns who taught me in grade school, My youngest daughter is named after them (she has huge shoes to fill). I'm not going to lie. I am still struggling to find myself at age 52. I hope that doesn't sound too cliche. I wouldn't trade the years Ive been left to raise my children alone, for anything, except for maybe someone reliable to have helped me with their upbringing. I did enjoy raising them; all our family activities, the adventures we went on together, and watching them grow. Now that this part of my life is almost over, I am trying to figure out what is next. For now, in my leisure time, occasionally Ill run off to Gatlinburg or Mammoth Cave for a quick get away, But most days I sit back after a days work, talk to my youngest about her school day, and have a glass of wine. From Spring through Fall its most enjoyable on my modest back deck with a Mary Garden and when I'm lucky I'm blessed with a visit from the Hummingbirds. Im blessed to have family in Florida and travel a couple times a year to visit, stopping in Saint Augustine. I love that wonderful little town and the Catholic history around it.
43, Louisville, KYI am a single-mom that adores my daughter. I love to have fun and meet new people. My parents are a very big part of my life. I lost my dad four years ago and still dealing with the sadness that comes from losing a parent. Trust and communication are a must for me. I have to be able to talk my way through situations after I have time to think about it. I give alot of time to my daughter's school and have found some unique friendships. Ask me questions, and I will answer!
69, Lexington, KYI am passionate about the welfare of the homeless, veterans, animals and kids. I am outgoing and enjoy meeting people , My parents are the most influential people in my life as the taught and encouraged me to be and do the best I can, to be kind and helpful to the mentally and physically challenged and to have integrity, honesty, ethics and generosity of spirit. I consider my animal companions to be angels and one of God's gift to us. They bring me joy, companionship, faithfulness and sometimes laughter and definitely a feeling of wellbeing
57, Bardstown, KY"Inquisitive smart woman seeks friend for walks, dinner, social events, companionship, sacramental marriage for the next 30 years" I am not retired, and don't plan to retire. I have summers off and breaks through out the year. I love what I do and can say I have not really "worked" a day in the last 25 years. I do what I love, and think I still have a fair amount of time and life to share with a partner and spouse. I tried being married outside the Church and that did not work. I know I need help getting to heaven, and I need to give myself to others. I am feeling free to marry or not. In those years I struggled as a single parent, i really did not feel free: I felt a need that I learned to let faith and friends fill. You will know what I mean. There are some deep holes that no other person can fill - only God - but it sure would be nice to have a best friend and life partner to hold my hand as I walk (or am carried) through. I enjoy gardening, being active outdoors, and being a positive influence in my community. I love to read, watch movies, talk, play cards and board games, learn and share social dance. I value education and have way too much of it. I have enormous curiosity, both about the natural and spiritual realms, and I love to learn. I probably know more about plants and animals than anyone else would ever want to, and as a result, I am woefully behind on TV and movie-watching. That makes it easy to find a movie I'd like to go to, or a DVD to rent, but I'd rather be out for a walk, usually. I do not like violent or really sad movies. I want to be entertained in an emotionally safe way when I step into that realm of suspended disbelief. I do like adventure and many thrillers, as long as the good guys win. I am pretty socially liberal: God gave me free choice to sin or not sin. I aim to do the same for others. I'm fairly minimalist as a consumer (think "green"). I hope to leave a small (but US) footprint on this planet, leaving it in good shape for the generations to come. I am a practicing Catholic, so some days I don't eat meat and I go to church every week; sometimes more often. I do not enjoy sarcasm, bitterness, jokes at the expense of others (cruelty). I admire people who have been through hard times yet are not hard themselves.
68, Latonia, KYFamily and friends are important and look forward to visiting with my granddaughters. I love the outdoors, music and dancing, a great burger on the grill now and then. 36, Owensboro, KYI am a single mom of identical twin teenage boys. They consume most of my time. I am also a full-time substitute teacher in the Catholic school system, as well as a religious education catechist for students in the public schools, and I am working on my Master of Arts in Teaching full-time as well. My boys are Star ranked Boy Scouts and we enjoy hiking, canoeing, camping, flying, traveling, and trying new things. We have one dog, a rescue mix named Aviation. I am passionate about my faith, my kids, my nephews and niece, my family, and my students.
53, Louisville, KYMy life is simple but busy. The work I do is difficult but at the same time rewarding. A little over a year ago I left my career of 25 years to accept a position to run a program that advocates for local abused and/or neglected children. It keeps me hopping, sadly. Always holding on to hope that someday there will not be a need for my position. A year ago a wonderful bundle of joy entered my life. A granddaughter. She is certainly my joy, but I work hard to maintain a healthy balance between spending time with her, my work and my social life. It's autumn, my favorite time of the year. Weekends are spent out enjoying the beauty autumn lends itself. Some interests are street festivals, small town shopping, hiking, bike riding and enjoying time with family and friends. That being said, the most important thing to me is my faith. I can't imagine life without it.
65, Bellevue, KYHello! I am seeking someone who enjoys dining, dancing and wine...listening to music, walking, shopping, good coffee, almost anything! I would enjoy the company of a gentleman who is educated and fun!
66, Louisville, KYI love music and art, traveling, walks in the woods, working outside, cozy evenings by a fire inside ot outside, animals, sharing my days with someone meaningful. I enjoy all four seasons which is why I moved back to Kentucky from the Southwest. I guess one would say I like adventures having moved to New Zealand and working there for a while. Although I was born in Minnesota Ive lived in states around the great lakes as well as those with the Western Rockies. I lived around Colorado Springs for a while right under Pikes Peak. I still work almost full time but would like to retire and spend time with my the outdoors, walking in the woods looking for spring flowers, art, music, animals and share interests with a special person in my life... Not necessarily in that order! HA! My latest passion is wood carving. I must admit my nemesis is learning to sharpen my tools! Im always afraid Im going to ruin them! I do like riding my mule and horse. Peaches, my mule, is from Arizona and we used to ride all over Monument near Tucson. Mostly now I just hug her and give her kisses. She isnt afraid of anything... Rattlesnakes, mountain lions, bob cats.... But just can seem to get used to armadillos! I like working with my hands.i used to help my dad make muzzleloaders. That was his hobby. Probably where I got my interest in carving. We also went hunting together. We used to have venison, elk and antelope every year to eat. But I must say now wouldnt want to shoot a deer anymore. We also liked to go fishing a lot. I grew up around water so fishing was always an option. I inherited my dads fishing gear and tools when he passed away. Family and friends are important to me. Although my family is spread across the States we stay in touch and help each other out. Being half Italian I love cooking Italian dinners and especially love baking biscotti. Meeting new people is something I really enjoy. Im like my father.... Ive never met a stranger. Ive kinda searched all my life for my "soul mate" for lack of a better word. I think a person has more than one good fit out there... It seems Ive not made good choices sometimes. Guess its because I like most folks I meet and like to think I see something special in everyone...

23, Owensboro, KYHi, I'm Clarissa! I am currently teaching music and choir. I absolutely love my job and all its quirks. In fact, I learn from my students as much as they learn from me.
