65, Kenner, LAFaith is an integral thread in the fabric of my being. I am giving this site one more try, after much thoughtful consideration. I am a mom, my children are both grown. My son is the research director of the National World War II Museum. He is married to my wonderful daughter-in-law and they now have my beautiful grandchildren. My daughter is a graduate of L.S.U. and presently has her doctorate in physical therapy. She is married to my wonderful son-in-law. They are great kids and my dreams come true. I currently care for and homeschool my grandchildren until kindergarten. I am a Montessori teacher. I treasure my faith, my family and my friends. I enjoy reading, a good cup of coffee, my garden, traveling and movies. I trust that God will lead me where I need to be.
65, New Orleans, LAI am a woman of strong faith. I enjoy long walks, watching sunsets, travel, sports, movies, live theatre, dancing, jigsaw puzzles. Christmas lights and decorations fascinate me like a kid. A good fireplace mesmerizes me! I'm affectionate, honest, caring, loyal and would hope to meet someone who shares these qualities. I believe a great relationship begins with mutual respect, friendship, and plenty of communication. I think the little things are important: a special touch; a loving note; flowers for no special reason; just hanging out together, not doing anything in particular; not being afraid to cry in each other's presence; acknowledging the important things or special occasions. I definitely do not play games - hate that! Life is too short to waste on that.
60, Metairie, LAI don't really enjoy talking about myself...but here goes. I am a very down-to-earth person who loves God, animals and music! I am the proud owner of two very spoiled cocktatiels named Gilbert and Misha. I enjoy music of all types, but Classical, Christian and Broadway are three of my favorites. I love Broadway music since I was once heavily involved in performing in musicals in some of the local theatres. One of my favorite memories was performing in Fiddler On The Roof. I also love Big Band music, as well as 60's and 70's and some 80's. I love to dance and have taken lessons in everything from ballet to line dancing. I have been a church cantor for 25 years. There are other members of my family who enjoy singing. My sister and one of my cousins and I frequently get together to sing karoake. We have, on occasion, taken our karoake machine to nursing homes and entertained the residents. I I am not athletically-inclined. I do enjoy walking. I enjoy watching football, figure skating and gymnastics. I always look forward to watching the Olympic games. I am told that I have a good sense of humor. My friends tell me that I make them laugh. I love old movies - one of my favorite channels is TCM. I also enjoy anything historical. I am looking for a permanent relationship - someone with whom I can spend the rest of my life. I am looking for someone who is good natured and would enjoy being involved in volunteer work with me. I would love to meet someone with whom I can go to church every Sunday. Family is important to me. Although Mom and Dad are both gone, my sister and I are very close. I would love to find someone who shares a closeness with his family because I would love being a part of that. I am looking for someone whom I can love and who will also be my best friend. I don't need to spend money to enjoy someone's company. Going out to eat is fine but I can be just as happy sitting at home watching a movie or listening to music. I have not seen too many movies at the theatres lately because I do not like violence or obscenity. I do enjoy going to the symphony and the museum but would also be happy at a football game or walking in the park. A word of warning...I don't like the kitchen. But I am willing to learn to cook - as long as you will do it with me! I guess I am looking for someone who will be happy with me just as I am. I have a variety of interests and would welcome exploring some new interests with you!

I have gone thru the grieving process after losing my husband of 40 years in Oct 2012 and am ready to get on with my life. Hopefully with a kindred spirit.
