I love to garden, read, fairs and festivals, the symphony, shopping the flea markets for antiques, going to tea with friends, the beach, walks in the park, movies, plays/musicals, Saints games and I love spending time with my grandchildren. I also love a good wine, good food, to dance, to listen to bands, animals, exercise and attend church every weekend. I am a true Southern lady at heart. Although, I am very outgoing and love to meet and talk to people, I am very shy when it comes to meeting gentlemen for the first time. I am new at this online dating but have decided to give it a try. As they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I look forward to meeting new people and to new adventures.

"Rise and rise again and again like a phoenix from the ashes until lambs become lions." In college I became first interested in theater after taking classes to minor in it. I planned initially on a career in career in costume design but have since moved on to something else; however, I still love theater and film, costume design and festivals. I enjoy movies and often have marathons on my days off. I also sew and enjoy cooking.

Living in the a Gulf Coast for the first time I've grown to love being here. My first few months were tough because of the storm. Family and my few new friends left for parts far away. I'm almost a native, give it another 10 years! For fun I've love having friends over, all types of music, gardening and the arts. I've always loved children, seniors and animals. I'm currently being held captive by two cats who force me to feed them, open the door to let them in or out and clean up after them. One bangs on the screen door three times to summon me to let her in. The other one won't come inside unless she gets a treat. She prefers chocolate ice cream but will take whipped cream in a pinch. They both love tuna so I have to buy the big cans...if I fail to comply with their demands, they bite and scratch me. It's torture. ;-) I don't have children but come from a great extended family so I'm happy I got to know my grandparents, aunts and uncles before they passed. I think I got much of my personality from them. I'm pretty calm, love to laugh and believe I am capable of giving and accepting true love. I have made lifelong friends who I consider to be my sisters and brothers. I was born Catholic, went to mass six days a week, taught CCD and went to a Catholic college. My faith is important and much of how I live my life is derived from growing up under Vatican II. However as a Catholic woman, I've struggled with some of the church's teachings and return to freedom of choice as a foundation for my personal dealings with others. I don't judge. The priest scandals continue to concern me but my home parish was well run so there were none there. Thanks for reading my profile. Take Care and God Bless, D.

Passionate about keeping active with family friends old and new. Look forward to exploring as much of my own city of birth as possible and discovering all it has to offer. My most influential experinces have been having extended family as a part of my life. Most importantly growing up around grandparents and then in my most recent years having my mother with me throughout my later years until her death. Staying active with full time work and then some part time events on the weekends. I am always ready to explore new orleans and be a part of it's attractions or just strolling through the city and soaking up the things that are naturaly 'nawlins. Such as the music, people, landmarks and special events. . . . Either planned or spur of the moment. It's hard to catch up with me sometimes as i wander from place to place keeping active.

Hi! I am a very upbeat, fun loving person, I enjoy anything outdoors. especially going to the beach and boating. I am very active and enjoy festivals. I LOVE MUSIC! Latin or Gospel Masses are my favorite! Travel is also one of my favorite things to do. I have three grandchildren. I took my boys to Chicago then New York separately when they turned ten, Then two years ago I took my boys to Washington DC. When my only granddaughter turns ten I want to take her to Paris!!! Mais oui! I have been blessed to travel more than I ever dreamed with girlfriends. I would love to travel to romantic places with a romantic man instead of with a girlfriend! I would love to travel abroad first, because it's not as safe as it was years ago. Cruises are my preference. If I don't get this wish, there are many places in the USA I would LOVE to visit! I am usually willing to try many things I didn't enjoy when I was young. Fishing, birding, whatever. I'll give it a try! Music makes me feel alive and I really enjoy dancing.

Hello, my name is Amanda! I'm currently working towards getting a bachelor's degree in nutrition. I'd like to work as a holistic nutritionist, but it's all in God's hands. :) I love to be creative whether in cooking or baking, drawing, or different kinds of crafts. And, most importantly, my faith and family are the cornerstones of my life. In the future, I would hope to continue growing in my faith and develop this same ideal of family with someone.

I am a conservative Traditional Roman Catholic woman. Most of my immediate family share our faith and attend Mass together weekly. I'm just an average woman who is content with life and would love to have someone special to share and enjoy my faith and life with.
