46, Oakdale, LAI am 46 ears old and a single mother by choice. What I mean by that is that I was first a foster mother to my little girl and now, through the blessings of Almighty God, I have adopted her. I love to spend time with family and friends. I was a Pre-K teacher for twelve years. I am now a computer lab teacher for kindergarten through fourth grade students. I am very loyal to my friends and family and very protective of the people I love. I am working every day to be a better Catholic but often fall very short of reaching this goal. I guess you could say I'm a work in progress.
55, Lake Charles, LAI am a hardworking single mom with almost grown children. I have always been creative and loved working with my hands so I continued my education to become an Art teacher. I love working with children and getting them excited about art. I love seeing the pride in their eyes when they are successful and realize they have something meaningful and valuable to offer the world through their own style of art. I have a minor in Psychology and have considered continuing my education in Art Therapy because I have seen so many wounds and scars (emotionally and mentally) in the children that I teach. I want to give them a constructive outlet for their pain so they can get past it. I love building (Working with exotic woods) and I am a working potter in my spare time. I exhibit locally. I like all kinds of music but also enjoy the peace found in silence. I'm an outside person when weather permits. Not much on sitting inside watching TV unless it's too dark to be outside (or the mosquitoes are bad). I love traveling and have taken my children to many states in our country on vacation. I think it's important for them to know and be exposed to the opportunity that awaits them. My students tease me because at the end of every class, I tell them to have a good day and to "make good choices". I believe in accountability but not in the way that the school system looks at it. I believe that every person should hold themself accountable for their actions and choices. I think it's important for youth to know that they do have choices and their choices do matter. I'm a deep thinker and at times can be moody. That's the advantage of being an artist--people expect you to be a little strange!! I don't think I am strange but I admit I have used that stereotype to my advantage in my job!! I love my children and am fiercely loyal to them. I have one in college after completing a technical degree in automotive technology, one that is a sous chef at a local restaurant (also out on his own) and my baby is a Sr. in high school. Empty nest is getting very close. I am strong willed and opinionated at times but I believe in speaking the truth. I don't believe we have the right to judge...ever. I love laughter, music, a quiet glass of wine and a good novel. At 50, I shared a tattoo experience with my daughter. I have "Ad majorem Dei gloriam inque hominum salutem" on my right wrist. It originates from the Jesuits, St Ignatius of Loyola. It is a daily reminder to me of my real job.
44, Kinder, LAI do not have a subscription. I live in Lake Charles. Enjoying the changes and being closer to other family members. Also, enjoy dining out, going to the movies, occasionally enjoy some shopping, visiting, etc. Believe life is a continual journey of appreciation and improvement of self. I have a child at home and parenting is priority in life especially since my child has no other parent.
40, Sulphur, LAHmm!!!! Lets see... Im not sure what to put here! I finaly got an annulment and am free to marry in the catholic church! i made a cursillo. I enjoy spending time with my boys, my family and friends the most and watching tv the least. I like to be outdoors the most and indoors the least! I hate nothing! I love Jesus!
45, Lake Charles, LAPassionate is the word I would use to describe my Catholic faith. I enjoy experiencing Mass on a weekly, if not daily, basis. I also enjoy speaking and teaching French, and study my bible in both languages each morning. I teach 300+ K-5th grade students everyday. They are help me to find childlike joy in each day. My A.C.T.S. retreat also opened doors to many new friendships in my church and truly made the Triduum come to life. The school year makes an active lifestyle difficult to maintain, but I love being active when I can find the time. I love movies, old and new; reading literature, composing journal entries, listening to music, cooking, gardening, and football. I can mow my own grass and I'm proud of it! My parents and my paternal grandmother have been the most influential people in helping me become the woman I am now. Someone once said that I must have had a "Leave It to Beaver" lifestyle and I must admit that I did. I was the Opie to my Dad's Andy Taylor. :) I feel I have become a very complete person through the years. I long to have someone to share my day's ups and downs, to experience the joys of life, and to discover the wonders the world has to offer. I look forward to hearing for you and wish you much success if God leads you in another direction.
40, Lake Charles, LAI am a mother of three girls, who are my life. My happiest moments are spent watching them play sports, dance or going to the park with them. I work as a registered nurse and can't imagine doing anything else. I'm passionate about my career but love to relax and enjoy my off time. I'm pretty diverse. I love to travel, go to museums or just enjoy nature. I'm open to new experiences and I love to learn. I'm spontaneous but like having a little bit of a schedule. You'll never be bored with me!
45, Lake Charles, LAIt's been 5 years since my husband passed away due to cancer. He was truly amazing and I am ever grateful to God for blessing me with a loving marriage and healthy children. Our kids are now 18, 16, 13, and 11 and we have all grown in positive ways the past few years. As a parent I keep my kids as my priority and it has seemed that remaining single is God's plan for me in this chapter of my life. So, I am open to meet friends. However, I know that I cannot limit God, so if marriage is part of His plan then I would also be open to that possibility.
33, Lake Charles, LAAs a teacher, I'm passionate about engaging my students in history, academia, and the world around them. I love to travel and keep in touch with friends and family around the globe. I enjoy being athletic and creative in the arts; thus it seems I'm always busy. Most importantly though I think I'm most passionate about my family and those friends whom I consider to be part of it. That's the real reason we're all here.
45, Lake Charles, LAHello I'm Dee, I have passion in cooking. For me it's an art wherein you can express your love and have a fantastic outcome. I love to sing at my church as my way to express my thanks and gratitude to God for all the blessings He showers upon me. I'm also a widow for 4 years now and have 2 wonderful boys. They are my big inspirations and strength in moving forward with my life. I'm very optimistic and love to be with people that have positive attitude, enjoy life and love serving God.
51, Lake Charles, LAI'm a devout Catholic. I love my church and attend mass weekly. It's important to me that my significant other attends mass with me. Couples that pray together stay together. My kids are the center of my life. My passion, other than my kids of course, is Crossfit. I'm hopelessly, obnoxiously addicted to the sport. I love to laugh and cut up. Life's too short not to enjoy every single day. Imagine a man so focused on God that the only reason he looked up to see you is because he heard God say "That's her".
51, Lake Charles, LAI am at a fabulous stage in life: raised a marvelous child; was a devoted daughter; cultivated lasting friendships and loves; forged a respectable career and name. The list goes on, all to conclude that I am content with having fulfilled expectations as a woman. Now I am ready to live for myself and I wish to do that with Christ's blessing. I also wish to do that in the company of a decent man, a true gentleman.
67, Lake Charles, LAI love my lord, I get up with prayer on my breath, Love my family and friends they are all special to me. I love to cook for others to enjoy. I love to assist those that can not do for themselves. Gives me a sense of value, love. I feel alive when I can help others. Love to laugh. I love to laugh, travel, and be among friends and family.
