I am a people person, and I love to go out to dinner, play cards, watch movies or go to the theater. I also like quiet nights at home watching TV, reading, or visiting with good friends. I love being in the woods or on the water but I am not fond of tent camping or fishing. I am allergic to cigarette smoke. I am loyal, sweet, generous & independent. I am devoted to my family and try to spend as much time as possible with my three grandsons. I love to travel and try to attend Mass wherever I am (past locales include Paris, Venice, London, etc). I have two Standard Poodles who are my 4-legged, furry children.

I am a widow and loved my husband dearly as he loved me, but I know that I've got to go on with my life. I love keeping my home nice and being with friends. Yard work is something I have to do. My family are all grown and live away from home, but I hear from them often, actually not enough. The most important thing in life is to love and to be loved. I like to dine out every once in a while but wouldn't want to do it all the time. I like to cook and since it's just me I don't do as much anymore. Love animals especially dogs and horses. traveling sometime is o.k. also. my favorite t.v. shows are golden girls, raymond, frasier and keeping up appearances, my favorite movies loin king fried green tomatoes, and ghost. I love to laugh it makes me feel good and I like to make other people laugh too.

I am passionate about my calling as a teacher. I look forward to being with my students and sharing with them. I enjoy my colleagues. I have little leisure time. What time I have I share with my father and I do sports to stay physically fit and in shape. I enjoy nutritious foods and I enjoy wearing pretty clothes. The people that have had the most influence on me have been my own teachers. Many of them have contributed to changing my life for the better, although not perhaps at the time they were teaching me. I hope I am a positive influence in the lives of my own students. I look upon this "job" I do every day as a "calling" so it is not a job. I consider teaching to be a noble profession. I have taught many years and the more I teach, the more responsibility I have. I could be passionate about lots of things. I think, in my retirement, which is not forthcoming, I would enjoy writing books. This would keep me occupied and would be productive. I have had to write articles as a professor. I have been editor-in-chief, now twice, for volumes on film. I would enjoy writing, I know. I would like to take up a new sport, like golf. I played golf and I think I would enjoy it very much fun for the future. I would like to take a chance with Catholic Match as I have looked upon the site for years but I have done nothing. I enjoy watching movies as this is my current research, research on film. I enjoy cooking, however I cook very little. This is something I would like to do in the future, more cooking. I relish delicious meals and fresh fish, above all. I forgot to mention the wine to round out the meal! I would hope whomever I would "match up" with would enjoy wine with dinner.

I am passionate about my family, my work, and the Southwest United States. I look forward to complete retirement and having the luxury of enough time to complete the fifty projects on my bucket list. As an Air Force "brat," I had the privilege of traveling the world and living abroad when my father was stationed at various overseas bases. Such experiences broadened my perspective and cultivated both a love of meeting people of other cultures and appreciating nature and the great outdoors. I developed a love of life-long learning by studying under passionate, dedicated teachers who changed my life. In my spare time, I enjoy walking, hiking, and running (not so far these days!). My leisure time is spent reading, writing, and being with family and friends.

I am passionate about my family, my friends, my faith, and my professional calling--writing, teaching, and independent film production. I look forward to joy-filled twilight years in which I can reap the rewards of lessons learned hard and living in the moment. Though I am inordinately independent, my life brimming with blessings, I would love to experience a deep and abiding relationship with a wonderful man. What I value most in a potential partner is respect, consideration, caring, kindness, and transparency. (And a sense of humor is essential because I love to laugh!) My special man would be independent and passionate about his own friends and interests as well as holding mine in reverence. He would also love hiking, experiencing the outdoors, and traveling in general, as well as curling up with a good book on the couch after dinner. As a self-professed United States Air Force brat, I have lived all over the world and loved every minute of it. The vagabond spirit still runs through my veins. It is the people I met and bonded with during my lifetime of travel (especially those I met during my three years in Ramstein, Germany) who have shaped my life unalterably, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have a different perspective than most people who grew up in the state I now call home, Louisiana, but I am grateful for the broader view. I now feel I could live anywhere and call it my home, because home is where your core essence dwells, along with all the experiences that have shaped you. In my leisure time, I enjoy reading, traveling, writing, walking, hiking, running (not so far these days), and hanging out with family and friends. I enjoy cooking and a glass of fine wine! I love attending writer's conferences and hanging out with other people who are "weird nerds" like me. I am also politically active as the occasion calls (such as the recent presidential election) me into emergency activism but I cannot say I truly enjoy it -- it is something I feel compelled to do because I love my country and wish to do my part in leaving a legacy of a safe and noble nation to my children and grandchildren.
