32, Lake Charles, LAI moved back to Lake Charles 3 years ago to pursue my Master's degree in school counseling and I will finally graduate in May!!! WOO HOO!!! I have two boston terriers that I love to spoil and cuddle with, so my "significant other" MUST LOVE dogs! :-) With that being said, I LOVE animals! I have this crazy dream of having a farm one day with a bunch of miniature animals (they are just so dang cute)! I consider myself to be a very responsible, open minded, and compassionate person who is always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on 24-7...I love being around family and friends and jump at the chance to meet new people and make new friends...I LOVE sports (especially football)...I also love to cook, go country dancing or two-stepping to some good ole' Cajun music at one of the many festivals this great state has to offer! I also love to be out on the water fishing or tubing, kicking butt at washer-board, target shooting with my dad, listening to live bands, volunteering, etc., but one of my all time favorite things to do is sit around a fire at home with my family and friends with a good glass of wine in my hand reminiscing and laughing! Over the last few years, I have come to understand the true meaning of the words determination, perseverance, strength, humility, grace, and faith!!! Like many of us out there, my faith has gone through its share of highs and lows. However, it has always managed to lift me up and lead me back to where I need to be, and I am so very grateful to my Lord for that blessing! I am a planner and a perfectionist, but have gotten better at "letting go" and focusing on the things that I can actually control! Well, I think I covered all the basics...I hope you are enjoying my profile thus far. If you have any other questions, feel free to message me! God Bless!!
27, Slidell, LADo you love music? Me too! Do you love to laugh? Me too! Do you love traveling? Me too! Are your faith and friends and family the most important things in your life? Me too! I am a confident, driven person who loves to laugh! I love singing, telling stories, and making others laugh. I am constantly finding joy in the big and little things. I love to read and dream about what the future could be. I am inspired by the saints--their faith and their works. I love serving! I love leading youth missions trips and serving the homeless. My goals in life are to find as much joy in service to Christ as possible and to be a saint when I die. I don't fit well into stereotypical labels. Im part hipster, part bad-ass, part church lady. I'm a scientist, artist, and aspiring theologian. I'm the first one on the dance floor at every wedding. I'm a glass full-full kinda girl-everything happens for a reason, with a dash of sarcasm and cynicism. I have a growth mindset. Which means I believe there is always something new to learn and improve! I try to keep up to date with professional practices, health breakthroughs, and social welfare. i hope to work in an impoverished school overseas one day. I think I would learn a lot about simplicity and the joy of learning. American education has lost its joy... I want to help us find it again. Here's some fun things about Nikki: 1. I sometimes refer to myself in the third person. 2. I pretendre to speak le frenche. 3. I do actuall speak some French. 4. I could eat chicken and potatoes everyday and love it! 5. I am a human jukebox. I sing all the time. 6. I have a loud, infectious laugh! 7. I live on the water and hope to have a boat one day! 8. I'm a closet intellectual... Most people see the fun, social me, but I love to stay home and read up on some philosophy or theology. (I'm brilliant... Shhh!) 9. I love well placed movie quotes.
33, Baton Rouge, LAMy name is Rebecca and let's face it, I'm pretty awesome. It's true. I have references. First off I have the best job in the world. I work for a well known traveling circus. I travel 11 months out of the year, live on a train, and have friends all over the world! I really love my job! ***That being said- recently I have learned that come May 7, 2017 I will be out of job. The Greatest Show on Earth is packing up and closing for good. All our crew and performers can really use the prayers right about now. We are all deeply saddened by this news and hope to find appropriate work afterwards. I will miss every moment so be sure to come and see the show while you still can!**** My next journey will start after the circus closes and I will be joining the touring cast of Marvel Universe Live! as a wardrobe assistant. I am excited for the new opportunity and look forward to trying to start up a ministry over there as well. I love seeing new places and meeting new people. I like to refer to myself on the show as Wardrobe Head Extrodinaire. If it needs to be fixed I could do it. I enjoy working really hard to keep the show looking shiney and new. I like shiney objects! I'm a bit of a nerd and a few of my obsessions are sewing, crafty things, Wonder Woman, astronomy, Doctor Who, musicals, Disney, dancing (like Cajun two stepping, swing, etc) and spreading the love of my Cajun heritage around. I love the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. I love decorating for both! In fact I even decorate our narrow train hallway for the enjoyment of all those on our train car. I love to travel both locally and abroad. I haven't been out of the US much, but I have plans for the next few years to do just that. .
25, Mandeville, LAPeople describe me as sweet, but know that I am also a hard worker who will fight for what is right and good. I have standards and will not settle, but I am willing to compromise on issues that may arise. Im ultimately looking for a husband, but first want to get to know you as a friend. I believe that when starting a relationship a good foundation of friendship is important.
30, New Orleans, LAAll of my family lives near me so we are able to visit each other often. I love to travel to visit my friends in different cities. I graduated from Louisiana State University then attended the University of Alabama for graduate school. I just recently finished serving for a year as a FOCUS missionary. There have been many people throughout my life that have impacted me in various ways. Perhaps most influential in my life has been watching my friends live virtuous lives. Throughout the years, I have watched several friends go through transitions- college life, single life, dating, engagement, marriage, having families- which allowed me to witness times of joy, struggle all while continuing to have trust in Our Father. My yes to FOCUS has allowed me to practice this trust in God that they so well exemplify. For fun, I enjoy going to Saint's games with family and friends. I also love going for walks outside, going to country music concerts, watching home improvement shows (Fixer Upper), and attending festivals.
29, Baton Rouge, LAI consider myself easy to get along with and quiet. I can enjoy a quiet weekend at home or a spontaneous trip to cure my boredom. I'm not afraid of manual labor or getting dirty, coming from the country, you have to sometimes. I'm modest, positive, deep, and meditative. I'm shy and prefer getting to know people in person with time. I'm mostly an introvert and have a hard time expressing feelings. I believe in "you are the company you keep." I'm observant and learn new things everyday. I am a PTA in Baton Rouge and I absolutely love my job. I get to heal and improve people's quality of life which is humbling and rewarding, no doubt a gift from God to serve. In my spare time I enjoy being outside, in nature; fishing, riding a bike, playing/watching sports, or just relaxing.
24, Metairie, LAA student and youth minister, I have a passion for teaching and encouraging youth to follow the path God has laid for them. With the support and love of family and friends, I have been able to achieve the goals I have set for myself as well as followed the calls that God has presented to me. In my short 24 years, I've experience things that have taught me how to rely on my faith and I have been ever challenged to never give up. I spend my spare time with those closest to me, including my large family and my small circle of friends. They have been my back bone and support system through life, and they will always hold that important space in my life. I would say that I am always up for an adventure, but nothing to crazy. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and doing anything outdoors. My ideal Saturday night would be a sitting around a fire, riding four wheelers, and spending time with friends. I dont have much free time with work and school, but I always enjoy a good book or movie when I habe time to decompress.
