I am thankful for all the experiences in my life that are shaping me into the gentle, kind and loving woman that God created me to be. Although my life is active and busy, I try to balance 'doing' with 'being'. I am my 'best self' when I 'in the moment', aware of and thankful for God's simple pleasures, gifts and presence. I love to watch the ocean waves, the sunlight playing through the prisms, wind dancing through the trees, the birds having breakfast at my feeder. I love to listen to the rain making music on my roof, the morning symphony of birds or music that moves me. I delight in heart-shaped shells/rocks found on a beach walk, in the gifts of friendship, in giggles, boogie boarding and in life's many joys and surprises. When my spirit needs nourishment, I am fed by beauty; I buy/grow beautiful flowers/plants, meander in a museum of art, take a walk, sit and watch nature, get/give hugs, or visit and play with kids. I enjoy singing at Mass and for years 'sang my little heart out' in a local gospel choir group. Weekends/vacations will find me puttering around the house and yard, taking walks by the ocean (year round), refinishing treasures from flea market travels, volunteering, enjoying simple pleasures of nature, visiting with friends, dancing, going to concerts, plays, or restaurants. 'Not too serious' hiking and biking is my preference for outdoor activities but I am training and stepping up to more challenging outings- at my own pace. I am comfortable hanging out in jeans but do enjoy getting dressed up. Initially I can be on the quiet side, until I get to know someone; I can also be outgoing and friendly. I prefer being with friends 1:1 or in small groups but I can relate well at larger social gatherings. As a friend, I am compassionate and a good listener. I appreciate the give and take sharing of the ordinary moments of everyday life as well as sharing intimately feelings, thoughts, hopes & dreams

Faith is not blind when our trust is in God, / He gives us the signs to guide our way, / As we travel safely in the arms of God, / Our ticket to peace is the prayers we pray. I am a quiet, extremely shy person with a personality that loves adventure!!! It sometimes takes me a while to feel comfortable with new people. But to the people that know me, I am extremely passionate about everything that I do. I believe life is too short to live half-heartedly. I enjoy cycling and I also enjoy walking my dog, Lisieux. I enjoy walking on the beach and listening to the waves. I also love to ice skate!!! I love New England as I was raised in Vermont and I have lived in New Hampshire and now Maine. My faith is a big part of my life. I go to Mass a often as I can. I also attend Eucharistic Adoration every Sunday morning. I try to say the rosary every morning and evening. I sing in the choir and although my voice does not have a lot of volume, I do sing with all my heart. I have a dog and a cat and although I have never really been a "cat" person, this little guy needed a home, so I took him in. It is quite comical to see Alvin, the cat playing with Lisieux. I love life and would like to have someone to share the beauty as well as all the little gifts that God sends us everyday! As much as I miss having someone special to share my life with, I think developing a friendship should come first. -- I look forward to hearing from you.

God has given me many blessings! The two best blessings I have received are my sons. Some of my other many blessings are the large family I come from and the same two best friends I have had my whole life. However, there is one blessing I am still hoping for (God willing) and that is why I am on this website. My previous marriage did not work out because it requires the work of two people. When the other one does not want it to work then there is not much the first person can do. This situation; however, has made me stronger and I have learned from it. I enjoy doing all kinds of activities and am a lot of fun to be with. Trying new things is a lot of fun but also old favorites are too. Some of these things are hanging out at the beach and camping in the summer and going skiing in the winter. Currently I do office work at a hospital here in Maine. If you give yourself a chance to get to know me, you will be happy you did!

I am passionate about helping children, creating beauty, and serving God. St. John Paul ll and St. Mother Teresa have influenced me the most because they lived during my life and I view them as spiritual parents. When I have time, I love to be out in nature, to walk, garden, and cook.

Just a quick Hello for now. I am dubiously going forward with this effort to reach out, as well as put myself out there so others can do some reaching too! Yet here it goes, already sounding complicated!? Life! Right now in my life I am having to trust and wait like maybe never before. So I am a little heavy, perhaps a little too serious, but nobody does it much better than me ;) . I am traveling down this road with two heavy suitcases (better two than one I have always said), but my heart is full of hope for the travel part and my eyes are bright and full of cheer looking to see my rest. Remembering all the while that it is neither he who plants, nor he who waters, but The Lord who gives increase. Thanks for reading!

In my life, I've loved traveling and learning languages and cultures. I was an au pair in France for about 2 years, and it was a really important experience for me, being in the structure of a different culture, but also being with children who I loved and was responsible for. I like reading and learning and trying to be better every day. I like talking about ideas and thoughts with my special someone. I think it's nice to share ideas and think about things together! I'm sometimes a reserved person, but I love being around people as much as I can. I like smiling! I also really love cooking and having sit down meals with the people I care about.

I've been divorced for almost 9 years now. I am independent, but would like to meet someone nice to go do fun things with. I do love being outdoors and enjoy down hill skiing and camping. I love to be with family and friends. I am honest, loyal, kind and compassionate. My friends say they admire me for all that I have worked for and accomplished for myself and my child in these past 9 yrs. I do have a silly sweet side and will show that when I'm comfortable.

I love life, I love God, I love my children and my Dad and my other relatives. I am a peacemaker and I love my profession as well. I am truly blessed by happiness. I was married once for many years to a very negative person and I tried in every way to make him happy but the councelor told me to give up and take care of my children and so that is what I chose to do. I have an old dog who I tried to load on my photos so I fear you may see Cody instead of me who I tried to load next. My true love must love animals because I have my dog of many years and my cats too. All are shelter saves. My drug is exercise because without it I feel hollow. I used to run the roads but my knees are not the same so I walk and ride bike. I love walking the beaches here in Maine and when I travel.

I have decided to take charge of my non existent love life by trying this way of dating. I love my job and my friends. I enjoy living on a lake and the benefits that come with that. Being able to kayak, swim, ski and skate in my backyard is very rewarding. I am a huge fan of the Red Sox and attempt to get to a least a game a year. I'm looking forward to being able to share the love of baseball, the outdoors, and time spent with friends and family with someone special. I am looking for a genuinely good person, someone who enjoys doing things for the people they care about. Someone who strikes a balance in life, interjects humor when appropriate, and knows when it's alright to be serious about things. My job is extremely stressful so anything that takes me away from thinking of work is perfect. Leisure time can seem scarce, but when it's around I can enjoy time spent with friends, or curled up with a good book.
