I am passionate about my faith; it is the one never changing part of life. The gift is immeasurable and one that is pure, beautiful and true. Life to me is a gift and to be enjoyed and cherished always. My parents were very influential. They past on the catholic faith, encouraged education, stressed family bonds, and seeking knowledge of this world. I have met many people from many different life styles in my professional life. I enjoy spending time with my children, grandchildren , extended family and some close friends. I enjoy reading ,movies and educational programs on television. Cooking and nutrition, exercise, and play. Sports and the arts. I have many interests centered around my everyday life. I like to travel to warm weather places and Nothern Minnesota Lakes. Music is favorite.

My family is very important to me and I love being a part of my grandchildren's lives, activities, watching them grow and develop into these wonderful little people. I have a lot of energy and enjoy a variety of activities like golfing, long walks, skiing, dancing, sporting events and travelling. After being widowed for a number of years, I have become quite independent. However, I still enjoy receiving flowers and having doors opened for me. Being around people that have a sense of humor and a positive attitude is important to me. The someone must be honest, kind, have integrity and be able to laugh easily and often. I hope to meet a nice gentleman, who enjoys life and people and to share our lives with each other finding new interests, activities. and joys.

    72, Minnetonka, MN
Retired several years ago as a financial adv isor and substituted that career with volunteering in various areas of social justice; AMICUS, a non-profit organization assisting offenders while in prison as well as transitioning back into the community; Guardian ad Litem for Hennepin County representing abused children and in various ministries at church -- companion and eucharistic minister and the pastoral care council. Initially some of these activities produced culture shock but has been rewarding. I enjoy traveling, especially river cruises, all types of music, entertaining family/friends, dancing, reading (favorite authors are Michener, Picoult, Follett, Patterson, Ludlum), theater, and board/card games...especially cribbage! I like being with a man who has an avid interest in other people and loves traveling. He is spiritual and giving. Spontaneity is a plus with a positive zest for life, stimulating conversation, and adventuresome!
  • Marge, 64 from Prior Lake, MN
    64, Prior Lake, MN
I grew up in southern Minnesota on a dairy farm. My dad was German and my mom was French. We had a lot of kids at our house. How many kids did we have? We had so many kids that when we moved they closed the one room school house, we had so many kids we rode double stacked in the old 51 Ford, we had so many kids that they forget me at church after mass and the priest had to call them to come and get me. I am one of eleven children and our family is close. I also have 4 adult children and grandchildren. Family is very important to me and my son is my best friend. I love quality conversations, not necessarily serious. I am a great listener and have no need to be the center of attention. I try to keep a good balance in my life in all things.

Hello! I have been single for 25 years, and God, family and friends are the most important things in my life. Therefore, my days are full of a variety of tasks that might include volunteering, traveling, dancing, reading, dog-walking, meeting at my faith community, playing/watching grandchildren, entertaining, cooking, weed-pulling (gardening?), painting, dining, working as a doula, hanging out with friends, learning the keyboard, going to the theater, etc., etc., etc. I have little drama in my life, and strive to keep things simple. It would be great fun to find an honest, faithful gentleman with similar interests.

  • Cynthia, 65 from Owatonna, MN
    65, Owatonna, MN
Recently retired & widowed in the last two years, I am now looking to move forward in a relationship to enjoy and share future years together. I'm an independent woman who is caring, fun, considerate & respectful. The outdoors is wide open to live fully from sunrise to sunset through all seasons & all parts of the world. I like walking/hiking, golfing, fishing, boating, road trips just for a short ride or longer, traveling or enjoying the outdoors in the backyard, by water or wherever. Indoors is just as enjoyable & comfortable to me. At home I enjoy a good book, watching a movie or TV favs; cooking/baking; doing fun crafts; and entertaining with family & friends. Going out is always fun with family or friends or with your significant other at a good restaurant, movie/music venue/play/athletic event. Life lessons guide me in my decision making & recognize the value to continue learning every day. Some great mentors from my maternal grandmother, my dear father, teachers/ clergy in my catholic schooling and managers/peers in my career of 42 years grounded me to maintain a positive outlook with a strong faith through prayer each day of my life. Some days are better than others!

  • Alexis, 70 from Bloomington, MN
    70, Bloomington, MN
Having been retired for a period of time I found I had too much time on my hands. Working with people and being around them came easy for me. So I became a volunteer. I work with those who live with Alzheimer's disease. I call them my special people and love spending time with them. Mostly I enjoy reading to them. They seem to enjoy children's story books. I become a greatly involved with each story I read to them then try to get them to participate in interacting with me about each story. In treating them as adults rather than speaking down to them as if were children gets an ineligible response from them. They appreciate total respect. I give them the respect they deserve. I also volunteer at my church on Sundays as they need me at the Welcome Desk. Past experiences make you stronger as you learn from them. I do not judge anyone - and only know that the past should stay in the past. Loving someone is appreciating them for what they can bring into a healthy relationship. Having a healthy relationship is of utmost importance to me. Getting to know someone takes time. It is with time that a good relationship it built.
