I've retired after 50 yrs...I've moved back to my home town, close to one of my family means a lot to me. Now I would like to take 3 or 4 day road trips ...planned or to be casual most of the is too short to worry or complain... I should paint that in large letters and hang it on the wall. I enjoy listening to "easy music" and country music is my favorite. I would like just to be able to have a good conversation with someone, just relax and watch the grass grow. But, to add to this, I think that I have had a lot of time to watch the grass grow... I've been alone too many years.I want someone to travel with me to places I've never seen.....someone to go to church with me, pray together, laugh together, cry together, and enjoy life! And after all this activity I want and need quiet times to read a good book ...fiction or non fiction, long as I can turn the pages ....

In my retirement years I have become more interested in and passionate about the political scene and most especially the demise of our great country,as I have known it for 73 years. Currently I am looking forward to a much more conservative government and a return to "the good ole days". Progressives are not on my favorite list! My family is of utmost importance and no one will stand in my way of my love for them. Here too, I look to a future for my children and grandchildren that is safe with all of the freedoms I grew up with. My parents were most influential in my establishment of faith, family and friends. They provided a strong, moral example to me and demanded respect and responsibility.Extended family too added to these examples and those nuns in our Parochial school sometimes scared the wits out of me. I live in the small town where I grew up here in the Midwest. Just recently relocated here afer 26 yrs. in California. I spend time with friends and relatives, help out with church functions, read, watch Fox News, and depending on the season, I prefer out door work to indoor activities.Since my children and their families all live at a distance,my travel $$$ are spent flying to visit them.

Life is a very precious gift from God. I enjoy family, kids and grandkids. I don't know what I'd do without them. I survived a tragic accident but lost my husband two years ago. I'm ready for the next season of my life and would like to meet a young man full of life. I am content being creative at home or visiting sites and family through out the country.

I am looking for someone with a great sense of humor. I am easy going, love to laugh and make others laugh. I am happiest when I am outdoors in the summer time and indoors in the winter. I like anything from camping to formal events. Thank you for taking the time to look at my bio.

  • Joan, 75 from Brookfield, MO
    75, Brookfield, MO
I was born in northern Iowa but have lived in Missouri for over 40 years. As I have been a widow for several years, I have tried to fill my time with walking, gardening, travel, reading, attending grandchildren's activities. I am the organist in our small country church and also volunteer at 2 food pantries & a pregnancy center. My work experience includes farming, banking, durable medical equipment, so know a little about different businesses. My five children are all self-sufficient in their own business or job. When the snow is flying on a wintry day a favorite activity is making cookies. My faith is important to me and I try to attend Holy Mass at least once during the week in addition to Sunday. I am considered mild-mannered, do not lose my temper over silly things besides being frugal and conservative. Family is important to me but my family all lead a busy life and so I am looking for someone special to share my life.

I am passionate about the three F's. Faith, Family, Friends! I enjoy being with others getting to know new people that come my way. I enjoy spur of the moment activities. I enjoy making a nice meal for my family and friends. I enjoy traveling in the US and abroad. The person that has most had an influence on my life I would have to say my deceased husband. We had forty-six years of marriage. I enjoy taking walks, reading, playing cards, spending time with my five grandchildren and their parents. I grew up on an Iowa farm and am the oldest of twelve living children. I am blessed with many relatives and blessed that MOM is still living and in pretty good health.

I enjoy the outdoors! Living on Lake Of The Ozarks has given me the joy of watching beautiful sunsets and amazing dinners on the deck. My father taught me the sport of fishing therefore fishing has become a part of my life here at the lake. I am looking forward to traveling in the years ahead and would love to find someone special who I could share that journey with. My faith has brought me so many blessings, just a few of those are my children, grandchildren and wonderful friends as well as good health. I love going for walks, listening to music and gazing at the stars.

  • Dianne, 73 from Lincoln, MO

I live in the house my great-grandfather built (I love it) down on the creek where the whippoorwill calls. I enjoy my family but do not interfere in their lives, nor they in mine. When younger, I was an avid horseback rider. I love good music, theatre and estate sales. I write and love that aspect of my life. I am surrounded by family antiques and I love them. Once I fix a room, I leave it alone. I have no need to always be acquiring something new. I enjoy cooking and prefer to eat at home unless the restaurant is something quite nice. I treasure my friends and enjoy a nice circle of girlfriends. I miss the companionship of a mate attending Mass with me. That seems so lonely sometimes.
