    63, Concord, NH
physically active, mentally contemplative, currently living in a rural log cabin, within earshot of the loons, sight of an iconic New Hampshire mountain, and occasional bears and moose; AND I can literally ski off my porch. I am in love with more things than I have time to indulge: all of nature, especially winter; the arts, music of many kinds incl. classical, Baroque (Vivaldi) medieval, Irish, jazz and blues, even some electronica. I love most forms of dance. Sadly, I never seem to meet anybody who likes roller coasters. I am an artist/illustrator who has gotten some work in print, incl. the 1998 Tolkien Calendar, book covers for young adult fiction. Considering grad school. Teach various community art classes, also work part time at a "regular" job or two. Squeeze in bike rides and skiing when possible. Some favorite stuff: outside my cabin on a night of moon, in January, when the temp is cold enough to make the snow squeak: it is the deepest kind of quiet. Above tree-line around the time of the Summer Solstice when the light is brilliant (and when there's enough wind to blow the black flies away) A wide unpopulated beach in August toward mid-afternoon when the light turns amber. What the November light does to leafless maples against the sides of old New England houses. Calvin and Hobbes. Fawlty Towers. Long bike rides, especially ones with good swoopy downhill stretches. Would love to do a bike tour sometime. Skiing fresh powder. Unfortunately I'm an easily distracted type with an addiction to the printed word. Julia Cameron, in "The Artist's Way", describes words as "tiny tranquilizers". How could she possibly get that so right? Well still, I've squandered altogether too much time painting pictures to be as well read as I'd like. More poetry as I get older; I love Jane Kenyon, (I have snatches of her poems on the fridge), have enjoyed Victor Hugo and Dostoyevsky, and I did my senior project on Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast books. Have you ever read that? Now that is one hell of an interesting - and hilarious - ride. And of course the novel of the century is "The Lord of the Rings". And the movies - thank goodness they finally found Alan Lee somewhere in the middle of England to help with the visualizations: that's where all that melancholic beauty comes from. You can't keep a labor of love down. Recent edit: I should mention that I'm temporarily living in downstate NH with my 95 y o dad. Cuz y'see we took 'is keys away...

    67, Milford, NH
De Colores (r/t Cursillo. If you don't know what that is, check it out on google. St. Basil's in Methuen, MA is it's headquarters). !!!! I enjoy New England with its mountains, scenic country sides, bike trails, hiking trails, snow shoeing trails, etc. I love the city too, with its cultural events, museums (MFA Boston), sports events (basketball, football- Yayyyyyy Patriots on the Super Bowl win LI !!!), ice hockey, baseball, etc). I enjoy dining out, especially trying ethnic restaurants. I enjoy learning new activities and am a good student. Having been a Major's spouse in the USAF, I lived in Germany for 7 years (u. Ich Spreche Deutsch); and have traveled throughout Europe; and Egypt. I am an RN and put my heart into my work (still work per diem). I am looking for a healthy long term relationship, not a friend with benefits. I want to feel the intensity of being in love again. (Love is the passionate and abiding desire on the part of two or more people to produce together conditions under which each can be, and spontaneously express his/her real self, to which each can flourish far superior to what either could achieve alone). Id like to meet a man who wants to have fun and enjoy the rest of his life with me, our friends/families. I am in good health and have my own teeth..he he. My heart is full of love to share and would like the same in return. Please be unmarried and HAVE A PHOTO IF YOU EXPECT A RESPONSE. NO SMOKERS, ADDICTS, OR ALCOHOLICS--Life is too short ! Social drink is good) As for the 7 questions, I would need to elaborate on my answers, as I answered "No" to one, but were yes/no to some others, actually. My latest photo is the one you see with my glasses. Take care of yourself and thanks for dropping in !!!! Patty :o) Have a really nice day !!!!
  • Denise, 61 from Rochester, NH
    61, Rochester, NH
My name is Denise, not Dennis. I am straight, not gay. I only explain this because I've had lots of hits on my profile by other women! I love animals and music. I sing in a Church choir and also a choral group. I love plays and musicals and love to go to Broadway shows. I love Myrtle Beach, Hawaii and Vegas and would love to see more of this country. I retired after 37 years, but am now working part time and love my job. I love my family and friends and enjoy spending time with them. I love to play cards, board games and video games. I enjoy occasional trips to casinos too. I love to travel, but always look forward to coming home, as I'm somewhat of a home body. I love camping, but not in a tent. I love pop-ups, but the last 17 years have been spent camping in 32' and 36' 5th wheels. I loved my campers and referred to them as my summer homes on wheels. I also love the peace and serenity of fishing, but would rather keep my feet on solid ground as I tend to get seasick. I'm not fond of loud people, noisy situations, conflict or drama! I'm not a party person and prefer peace and quiet. I may drink occasionally to be social, but do not like to be around anyone who drinks regularly. I have a deep faith in God and do practice my faith.
  • Audrey, 60 from Concord, NH
    60, Concord, NH
I am an even-tempered, down-to-earth woman who loves the outdoors, dogs, books, and time with family. I have a dry sense of humor and have been called an academic. I am curious and love to travel. I enjoy canoeing, hiking, and biking NH's many Rails to Trails. I work in a legal setting and am passionate about equal access to justice and about helping others. I have been through too much in life to sweat the small stuff and I try to keep eternity's values in view. I am looking for a man who considers family and faith important, who shares my love of dogs and the outdoors, and someone who makes me laugh. My idea of a perfect evening is a candlelit dinner, a long walk holding hands, and a fire in the fireplace.
  • Lisa, 60 from Dover, NH
    60, Dover, NH
I smile a lot. I love to garden, laugh and am always on the hunt for the next best recipe. I enjoy traveling, seeing and learning new things. I am from Colorado, but moved to New Hampshire over 20 years ago and still love it here. I choose to be a very positive person and see my cup as "half full." I have no patience for drama. If you live in that space I'm not the one for you.

  • Diane, 66 from Manchester, NH
    66, Manchester, NH
I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My parents are the most influential people in my life. They have taught me by example to be loyal, kind, and loving. My leisure time is spent playing golf, bowling, traveling, and volunteering time to my church.
  • Terry, 68 from Concord, NH
    68, Concord, NH
I listen and care about others' feelings and thoughts. I want to help. I am good at discerning things and offering counsel. My passions are helping people the US and state governments treat unfairly and I am a wannabe social psychologist. I'm in good health, average build, graying hair not so curly.
  • Cindy, 61 from Concord, NH
    61, Concord, NH
I love being out and about, being spontaneous with others. Photography is a real interest of mine, and I hope to develop it even more this year. I love spending time at the ocean and my favorite season is the fall. I'm a widow, and admittedly, I still miss my husband a great deal. But it's time now to start a whole new life for myself and I want someone to share it with. Traveling is another thing I'm passionate about and I hope to do some traveling in he not-too-distant future. I'm devoted to my faith, and it's keenly important to me. Looking forward to talking to that special someone!
